General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

2013 in Review: My Neighborhood, Boston's North End
Cool stuff. Going to Mass. this summer to visit relatives. Wife and I will be sight seeing in Boston. Please keep your email or facebook account open because I will without doubt get lost and need someone to tell me how to get out of Boston.
Or Maria's Pastry shop. A real old-fashioned pastry shop run by 3 fierce North End women, who refuse to even use boxes and bags as free advertising for their business. Most outsiders know only Mike's and Modern. Maria's, however, has great cannoli, and THE BEST pizza dolce.
I don't buy cannoli at Mike's. I don't recognize them as the cannoli from my childhood. Too big, too sweet, and too trendy--oreo cannoli? Beh!
My hang-out is Cafe Pompeii for morning cappuccino. Cafe Vittoria, usually after the theater or Symphony Hall.
I'll offer you a trade, Shaw. You treat me to Maria's and I'll treat you Captain Butcher (a seafood place in Sebastian with a beautiful deck overlooking the Indian River Lagoon opposite Pelican Island). Deal?

Truth, Please be in touch when you visit this summer. You can reach me through fb or my shawkenawe email.
Look forward to it!
Lucky you! I gain 5 pounds just thinking about the North End :-)
Will do.
I don't know, Shaw. Some of it flashed quickly but I didn't see Mike's or The Modern in there.
Or the Cafe Vittoria.

Wasn't aware of Maria's, Shaw.
As soon as it warms a bit I should stop in for a lobster tail.
Maria's is on Cross Street, next door to Pace's [pronounced PAH-chays, here in the North End].
The lobster tails are a dream, filled with vanilla mousse! There are little tables inside for enjoying a pastry and caffe Americana.
If you get there after 2 PM, say "hello" to Anthony, and tell him you're "Ducky." Anthony is very, very special to me.

That's an offer we here in the frozen north could NEVER refuse!
A deal!
