The Loathsome Jackass in New Mexico
Friday's post below highlights this past week in wingnuttia.
What the post doesn't cover is what Donald Trump did on Tuesday while he was visiting New Mexico:
Trump’s New Mexico setback
The insults Donald Trump hurled at GOP New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez at his rally in Albuquerque, N.Mex., on Tuesday night says a lot about his judgment, his temperament, his wisdom and his utter lack of discipline.
What made him think launching into a clumsy diatribe about a fellow Republican — and one who is an established star in a swing state, no less – was a good idea? What was he trying to accomplish? Does Trump think the way to get people on board is to insult them in public? Does he really think elected Republicans are his vassals? Does he really think they need him more than he needs them?
Trump’s remarks have instantly become the insult heard around the party. Martinez is exactly what the Republican Party needs more of. She is a popular female, Hispanic, conservative leader who is currently the chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association. She is not a GOP opponent, she is not a bothersome journalist, and she certainly shouldn’t be an enemy of Trump.
Below is the video of Trump in New Mexico, insulting New Mexico's Latina governor, Susana Martinez.
Trump is so self-engrossed, so narcissistic that apparently he doesn't see anything wrong with smearing and insulting a Republican governor who would appeal to Latinos and women -- both groups where he is intensely disliked -- okay, hated. So he goes to Governor Martinez's state and acts like a loathsome jackass, because that is Donald J. Trump's essential character.
This is what the GOP did to itself.

Trump is Trump. A totally self absorbed clueless individual. His expertise rests in being the very personification of the very worst in egoism. Which by the way is not always bad when understood and controlled. Neither of which Trump is capable of recognizing let alone doing.
Loathsome jackass is a damn good description of Trump. And idiot is what you'd call anyone who votes for the jackass.
According to Wikipedia, full 28.5% of New Mexicans speak predominantly Spanish, with 3.5% speaking Navajo. New Mexico has the highest percentage of Hispanics in the U.S. including Spanish colonists who have lived there for four hundred years. It also has the second-highest percentage of Native Americans after Alaska, and the fourth-highest total number of Native Americans after California, Oklahoma and Arizona.
You can imagine that Trump was not very welcome among the general population. This also speaks to the centrist appeal of Governor Martinez in a state where democrats outnumber republicans 3 to 2. I heard that the protestors outside were driving around with Mexican flags!
Yeah Anonymous, if only the nation had a choice of at least one truly honest and principled candidate. Unfortunately no such candidate is even on the distant horizon in either major party.
Okay, maybe Warren or Martinez.
As one of my FaceBook friends said recently, sometimes the lesser of two evils is really the lesser of two evils.
Indeed. For something or someone to really be the lesser of two evils it must ACTUALLY Be the lesser of two evils. .
Today we really do have one who is the greater of two evils by far. Drumpf the Dump.
Below you can read how the Trump campaign lies its tRUMP off. Read how tRump's campaign manager lies to FAUX NOOZ host Chris Wallace about tRump's numbers with women and Latinos. Give Wallace credit for calling Lewandowsky out on his ridiculous claim that tRump is doing well with women and Latinos. tRump is not. Both groups detest him and he has no hope of without them:
from The HuffPost:
"Earlier this week, Trump described New Mexico as a state with high unemployment and dependence on food stamps — and accused Martinez of bearing the responsibility. “Your governor has got to do a better job,” he said. “She’s not doing the job. Hey, maybe I’ll run for governor of New Mexico. I’ll get this place going.”
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R), who has been generally supportive of Trump’s campaign, called the comments “very, very, destructive” and said it “sent all the wrong signals.”
When asked by Wallace about the wisdom of Trump attacking Martinez, given his unpopularity among women and Latinos, Lewandowski insisted the candidate is polling well with both groups. “Donald Trump is winning with Latinos, if you look at the last poll, he’s winning with Hispanics, if you look at the polls, he’s doing very well with women,” the campaign manager said, prompting Wallace to interrupt him.
“Wait, Corey,” Wallace said. “He’s not winning with women and he’s not winning with Hispanics. His numbers are hugely underwater with both!”
Latinos favor Trump’s likely Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, by a 39-point margin, according to a recent Fox News Latino poll. And in a matchup between the two candidates, women favored Clinton by 51 to 38 percent in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll."
Latinos will break Trump. He can't win without their votes.
