Wall Street Journal headlines:
Donald Trump, on Russian TV Network, Criticizes U.S. Foreign Policy
Republican presidential nominee telephoned into program on RT network, which has emerged as Kremlin’s propaganda tool
WASHINGTON—Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump criticized more than a decade of U.S. foreign policy and cast doubt on assertions that the Kremlin is attempting to meddle in the U.S. elections during a 10-minute interview broadcast on a television network controlled by the Russian government.
Mr. Trump’s interview, broadcast Thursday evening on RT America, came a day after the GOP candidate praised Russian President Vladimir Putin during a national TV appearance. His comments drew fire from other Republicans, who have been sharply critical of Russia’s behavior in the Middle East and with neighboring countries.
UPDATE:
PM Carpenter tells us about Cамодержец Trump:
"...what a shock it must have been to the Trump campaign that an RT interview would air on RT. Let us also ponder the fate of Barack Obama in 2008 had he appeared with Walter Xing Cronkite on Chinese Central Television, blasting sitting-president George W. Bush's foreign policy failures; denying that Chinese cyberwarfare was being nefariously directed at the United States and that, only out of partisan malice, only Republicans were "putting that out"; and alleging that virtually all American media — unlike, one presumes, Chinese Central Television — was imbued with 'tremendous dishonesty.'
Candidate Obama would have been lucky to carry Illinois or Hawaii. Democrats would have scurried in associational terror as Republicans not unjustifiably shrieked Nincompoop! and America-loathing Slanderer! and of course Traitor!"

And let's not forget that Trump won the award for telling the most and biggest lies of the election and Hillary is more honest than he is.
Also, lets not forget that he's a serial adulterer who got his second wife prgnant while married to his first wife and then cheated on his second wife with Melania. Also he bragged about having affairs with married women and there's a law suit against him by a woman who testified that he raped her when she was 13. That's who the Rethugs are supporting.
How is this different from being critical of US foreign policy while in other countries? I thought that type of thing stopped at the waters edge...
I'd like one of Trump's supporters to tell me why it's okay for him to trash talk America and America's president to the Russians and embrace a Russian thug who isn't shy about having those who oppose him "disappear," or become fatally ill.The Trump supporters' silence on his betrayals is stunning because they keep the lie alive that President Obama "apologizes" for America -- which is, of course, not true. But the Tea Party Republicans play fast and loose with the truth, and they're supporting a champion liar.
The narrative about Hillary being "untrustworthy" is risible. Who could possibly trust a maniac like Trump when he's in a foreign country or speaking to a foreign audience via tv or anything else not to embarrass America by telling thugs like Putin how much he admires them.
I'm guessing Trump would have loved Saddam Hussein and how he ran his country. He was, afterall, popular in Iraq because he won 100% of the vote!
Big Dog,
The TeaPublicans are the worst of the worst hypocrites. They're willing to overlook Trump's multiple infidelities (and possible rape charge) because he has a temporary "R" after his name and, of course, he's not Hillary. Trump probably has a worse record than Bubba has where his treatment of women is concerned.
More on Comrade Trump, Russia's Useful Idiot:
‘Moscow Donald’: Trump Attacks America On Russian-Owned TV Network (VIDEO)
September 8, 2016 News, Politics
By now it isn’t unusual to see Republican presidential nominee run down the United States and along with that, President Barack Obama and his rival, Secretary Hillary Clinton. But on Thursday night, Trump did so on a television network that is financed and effectively controlled by his favorite international pariah, Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
A day after bragging about how Putin loves him in front of a mostly military audience in prime time, Trump appeared on Larry King’s interview show on RT (formerly Russia Today), the television network financed by the Russian government and often criticized as a tool of the Kremlin, used to disseminate anti-Western propaganda.
And now Trump helped. In addition to attacking American foreign policy, Trump also defended Russia against allegations that it employed hackers to break into the Democratic Party’s systems, and also against concerns that Russia is trying to interfere in the election to help him.
The above comment is from New Century Times.
I’m actually happy about Donald Trump. He’s an unapologetic Putin lover.
Off topic but not to be missed ...
... in today's "Is It Real or Is It the Onion", we have Louie Gohmert.
"Gohmert also apologized for saying Clinton’s brain was in a blender Thursday during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.” He blamed the comment on having a song stuck in his head."
Probably "Old MacDonald".
A legend in his own mind; a man-child- pied piper to the clueless. Win or lose,
the damage to the GOP will be significant, possibly terminal.
Thanks for the link Shaw! Rational bloggers of all political leanings need to hand in hand (so to speak) continue to expose this idiot for what he really is. A disgrace to our democratic republic.
Cамодержец (samad-YERZH-yets) = autocrat -- it suits him, though his ambition might just as well be summed up as "Tsar".
The idea that Republicans will vote for absolutely anyone so long as he has that R next to his name is about to be put to the test. Does it extend even to a candidate who openly acts as a tool of Russian propaganda? For the most Benghazi-addled and e-mail-enraged Hillary haters, probably yes. I'm betting others will balk.
Of course, if the media had done its damn job with the Bondi scandal and the rape lawsuit and the mountain of unpaid bills and ripped-off workers and vendors, Trump would have become non-viable as a candidate long ago.
Fairly Witless You're happy? Old saying: "Ignorance is bliss."
Ducky from your link: "WASHINGTON ― Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Hillary Clinton is “mentally impaired” during a speech at the Values Voter Summit on Friday."
Also, Rep Louie Gohmert (BatShitCrazy-Texas) said the gerbil in his head told him that chicken soup, although good for colds, is not the best cure for drowning.
BB-Idaho It should be permanent damage for foisting this maniac on the sane citizens of America. We hope the GOP will forever be knows as the party of Trumpism.
RN It's depressing to know that so many of our fellow citizens are supporting this walking disaster.
Infidel753 So Trump and Pence and their supports admire Putin because he's a "strong" leader. They must admire other "strong" leaders such as Kim Jong Un, Bashar al-Assad, and dead strongmen: Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and Mussolini. Every one of them were "strong" and got rid of anyone who didn't think so. The TeaPublicans have shown their true feelings about what they love in a leader and hope for a leader here: A despot. However, like all bullies, I don't think Trump has the cajones to be anything like the real dictators and totalitarians above. He's been coddled all his life and never had to work hard for anything. A real soft little piece of pudding.
Shaw: Trump has spoken admiringly of the Chinese regime's brutal suppression of the Tiananmen Square protest, and even more admiringly of Kim Jong Un (same link). He does seem to have a fondness for autocrats generally. To be fair, Kim is the only leader with hair as bad as his, so perhaps he feels some solidarity.
He does show disdain for some foreign governments, though -- democracies such as Japan and the other NATO countries.
My goodness Ms.Shaw you are really reaching. Trump says Putin is a strong leader and somehow you make the stretch to Mao,Stalin,Hitler and Mussolini. That's a bit much, even for you.
Infidel said: "Does it extend even to a candidate who openly acts as a tool of Russian propaganda"
With Putin having carved off a large chunk of Ukraine, and Russian invaders have murdered thousands of Ukrainians, I wonder if any Americans of Ukrainian descent plan to vote for Trump at all.
Trump continues to think outside of the box. The squirrel box that is. As he continues to feed "his" squirrels tidbits of his rodent wisdom.
Anonymous: " My goodness Ms.Shaw you are really reaching. Trump says Putin is a strong leader and somehow you make the stretch to Mao,Stalin,Hitler and Mussolini. That's a bit much, even for you."
Anonymous, just in the event you're too lazy to go to Infidel753's link, here are some of the quotes from Trump where he most definitely shows himself to be an admirer of "strong" leaders of totalitarian regimes who are/were America's enemies:
"When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak... as being spit on by the rest of the world."
Kim Jung Un: "You've got to give him credit. How many young guys (he was like 26 or 25 when his father died) take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden... he goes in, he takes over, he's the boss.
It's incredible. He wiped out the uncle, he wiped out this one, that one. This guy doesn't play games."
It's apparent that Trump supporters don't know much about his repulsive admiration toward totalitarian regimes -- regimes that have slaughtered their own people.
So no, it's not a "stretch" to assume Trump would have admired other totalitarian/communist strongmen. It would be a nice idea if people like you educated themselves on why their Republican candidate is enthralled with America's enemies.
CLINTON: "It is beyond one's imagination to have a candidate for president praising a Russian autocrat like Putin."
Greg Dworkin: "Trump embraces Putin because it’s part of the alt-right white nationalist embrace. One begets the other. He can’t run from it and now it’s a political issue."

Republicans struggle to explain Trump's fondness for 'murderer and thug' Putin
Again, I'd like people to imagine how Trump supporters would have lost their minds had Mr. Obama repeatedly praised Commies and other enemies of America. It is more than passing strange that the response from the TeaPublicans to Trump's love affair and loyalty to former Communist KGB leader, Putin is silence.
This is nother piece of evidence of how devoid of any core values and now even patriotism the people who support Trump are.
Trump support is a cult of personality -- it won't be long before his supporters carry little red "The Art of the Deal" books to his rallies.
Also, this is for Anonymous @11:31 PM 9/9/16
Putin Becomes the Ultimate Test of GOP Loyalty to Trump
A day after Donald Trump's praise of Vladimir Putin at the NBC/MSNBC Commander-in-Chief Forum, the Trump campaign doubled down on Putin. "I think it's inarguable that Vladimir Putin has been a stronger leader in his country than Barack Obama has been in this country," running mate Mike Pence told CNN on Thursday, per NBC's Vaughn Hillyard.
But compare that with what House Speaker Paul Ryan said when asked about Trump's comments on Putin from Wednesday night.
"Vladimir Putin is an aggressor that does not share our interests. Vladimir Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighboring countries. It certainly appears he is conducting in-state sponsored attacks on what appears to be our political system," Ryan said. "That is not acting in our interests and that is an adversarial stance and he is acting like an adversary."
So maybe more than any issue right now, Putin has become the ultimate test of GOP loyalty to Trump. Do you agree or disagree with Trump on Putin? That question will separate the ardent Trump supporters from the Republicans who aren't.
Shaw, you said... "It's apparent that Trump supporters don't know much about his repulsive admiration toward totalitarian regimes -- regimes that have slaughtered their own people."
They know... They just either don't care, or admire him for it.
Dave: "They know... They just either don't care, or admire him for it."
Just this morning, a troll came by P.E. and left a comment about the "Communist" Barack Obama because Mr. Obama acknowledged the fact that a football player has the freedom to not stand for the National Anthem. This is what freedom is about. People like the ignorant troll don't understand that in a totalitarian regime, that football player would have been taken out and shot. In our system of government, that football player was able to register his protest in a perfectly legal way -- whether we agree or not, he broke no law and he demonstrated why we are better than societies that force their citizens to pay homage to a national symbol or song under penalty of death.
There are too many people in this country with totalitarian sympathies that would love to, under the leadership of Constitutionally ignorant people like Trump, see us become a version of North Korea or Putin's Russia.
It is astounding that those people are in the Republican Party -- a party that believes in small government and FREEDOM!
How do they live with themselves without seeing how utterly confused they are about what American freedom is?
Dave,
On second thought, I decided to publish part of the troll's comment, just to show the utter stupidity and ignorance that thrives in the current TeaPublican Party:
"Obama defends Colin Kaepernick's disrespect for the national anthem Why would this surprise ANYBODY ? This COMMUNIST so called President HATES AMERICA and always has."
The imbecile who wrote this has no understanding of our Constitution or of a president's oath of office. Mr. Obama took the presidential oath of office that compels him to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." Note that his oath says nothing more than that. In defending Kaepernick's First Amendment right to not stand during the playing of the national anthem, President Obama is preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution.
The troll shows his/her total ignorance of what American freedom is about. He/she is stupid, and he/she reveals that s/he would prefer to live under a murderous dictatorship than in America where First Amendment freedoms are protected.
These same people support the clueless Trump. Are we surprised?
And lastly, and sadly, the troll confirms his/her astounding brainlessness by writing this:
"...obama is also a radical muslim whose only purpose in becoming President was to destroy our country every way he can.
In fact, obama is NOT an American citizen. He came to America from Hawaii as a foreign student and never left which makes obama an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT who needs to be deported ASAP."
The moron who wrote the above quote will vote for Trump.
From The Washington Post:
"Imagine how history would judge today’s Americans if, looking back at this election, the record showed that voters empowered a dangerous man because of . . . a minor email scandal. There is no equivalence between Ms. Clinton’s wrongs and Mr. Trump’s manifest unfitness for office.”
Trump supporters will not care what the WaPo wrote because they believe the WaPo is a "Librul" newspaper. But their opinion doesn't matter anymore, does it. I mean who cares what a group of people thinks -- a group that supports a Russian dictator over our American president?
Ms.Shaw, why do you feel compelled to use the Nazi card? That seems to be a common trait of the left.
