Trump's "Personal Vietnam" -- Listen to What He Said It Was
Donald Trump bragged to Howard Stern that screwing around with dozens of women in the 1980s was just as risky as having to defend one's country during the Vietnam war -- Trump called his dozens of sexual exploits his own "private Vietnam." Then he laughed.
Imagine if our first African-American president had mocked serving one's country the way Trump does in this video by comparing promiscuous screwing around with women with putting one's life in jeopardy by defending one's country. We all know that Mr. Obama would have paid a steep political price for that, but we know Trump's supporters, who would have gone berserk had this been Mr. Obama, will give Trump a pass.
It's called white privilege, and Trump has benefitted from it during this entire travesty of a campaign. Trump has defamed POWs, a Gold Star family, and he's called our current military "a pile of rubble." He's also bragged that he knows more about ISIS than "the generals." And just recently has said that former Secretary of Defense, Republican Robert Gates, doesn't know what he's talking about.
Trump, who mocked our men and women in the military by comparing his debauchery to defending one's country, isn't fit to be Commander in Chief.
Trump has gotten away with countless insults to our men and women in the military without paying any price for his slander and lies.
White privilege.

Or, just think what they would be saying if Clinton bragged about how much she screwed around in the 80's.
Trump and Stern, birds of a feather. Or something like that.
All joking aside, youthful exploits are expected (almost), and, even undestandable. Trump was what, in his mid or late 30's when he made the statement? Being a yuuuge real estate/business mogul one would think he would have been more professional.
The Donald is the Donald and for those who like The Donald none of this matters. Just as his infidelities while married doesn't matter to the self righteous evangelicals.
I continue to wonder why folks put up with this sh*t. They must like and approve of it deep down.
Oy Vey...
JC, the fact that his supporters give him a pass on this outrageous claim -- that Trump suffered as much as men and women who fought in Vietnam when he was screwing around and that his Evangelical supporters give him a pass on his serial adulteries shows that they have no core values and they've prostituted themselves for a man who promises them smoke and mirrors.
And yes, it is highly likely that Trump supporters would be calling for Hillary to swing from the gallows if she had likened her sexual promiscuity to fighting for her country or if she had paraded her 5 children from 3 husbands on the stage at her nomination convention.
The question to Trump supporters is this: How can you support this fraud?
Trump appeals to the worst people and the worst in people. Remember that the poorly educated are his biggest fans, along with white supremacists, KKK groups, and other deplorables. What I don't understand is how the Evangelical Christians embrace him. He's been a libertine his entire life! And he's been proved to be the worse liar of this election!
HERE's one of Trump's deplorables wishing death (with God's blessing, yet) on anyone who votes for a Democrat:
"If another democrat is voted in then get used to it. And if someone votes for a democrat, I hope they are the next victim. God Willing."
My God would not be willing.
Listen to this Infowars clip
This is the bedrock of the Trump constituency.
Alex Jones would be the perfect Trump press secretary.
Give it a listen.
Wow! Just wow.
Scary shit.
I wonder if the dude is related to FreeThinke.
RN, I don't know who it is that Anonymous Reader quoted, but he or she is no doubt a Sunday morning Christian who, on the other 6 days wishes death on people who don't share his/her political beliefs. He/she is deplorable and a Trumpista.
Ducky, Alex Jones is certifiable. People who pay him any attention are nuts.
Jerry C., The person who wished death on Democrats is not a Christian or a believer, in anyone's opinion. He/she obviously worships Satan, a symbol of evil.
Anonymous Reader, thank you for doing the work none of us has the stomach to do: Read right wing blogs.
Clearwater, FL, the "Christian" Evangelicals lost any claim to morality if they're supporting a cheat, liar, and libertine.
Re Trump and the military, I've read that "some are questioning if there is a hidden anti-Semitic message behind the statement - since the number 88 is a well-known code for Heil Hitler". My opinion is that this is very likely true, given Trump's tweet concerning Hillary being the most corrupt candidate ever (the one that had her pic superimposed over a bunch of money, next to a star of David).
And don't forget Trump's hiring of the anti-semitic Steve Bannon of Breitbart. That's what convinced me that, not only is Trump is going after the deplorable vote (and hard), but he is deplorable himself.
Trump retweeting racists such as @WhiteGenocideTM and declaring that 88 generals have endorsed him... these are NOT mistakes or coincidences!
D.S., I don't go for conspiracy theories. Perhaps 88 retired military are supporting Trump. The good news is that 95 retired military officers support Hillary. She beat him in that.
The people supporting Trump are bigots. That's my opinion. I don't care if he "speaks to them" about their feelings of being left behind. That doesn't justify supporting a racist. As you can see from the above comment @Anonymous Reader yesterday @5:19PM, Trump has encouraged the very worst in human nature -- the far righties saying anyone who votes for a Democrat should be the victim of terrorism? God willing?
Shaw: D.S., I don't go for conspiracy theories.
We'll have to agree to disagree.
