More Good News for Democrats and the 2018 Elections

In the era of Donald Trump, New England’s biggest GOP donor is funding Democrats

Boston-area billionaire hedge fund manager Seth Klarman will now start funding mostly Democrats after a history of giving large donations to Republicans.

“The Republicans in Congress have failed to hold the president accountable and have abandoned their historic beliefs and values,” Klarman said in a statement to The Boston Globe.

“For the good of the country, the Democrats must take back one or both houses of Congress.” Klarman told the paper that he wanted to use the money he was saving from the Republican tax overhaul to “invest” in Democrats.

We are seeing the unintended consequences of the election of tRump to the presidency. For the good of the country may this become a wave of tidal porportions spreading across the nation.

The GOP and tRump must go the way of the Dinosaurs.

Again... sometimes I feel like a broken record.

If Trump gets a deal with the Koreas and the economy continues to hum along, creating jobs and inflation remains in check, why would America vote him out? [that rhetorical folks...] What will be the Dems message? We can do even better?

At least as it relates to Trump.

Legislatively, I think the GOP goose has been cooked and we'll probably see a flip of at least the House and maybe, the Senate, though a 50/50 split is more likely.

Unless trump resigns or is resigns and we have a Pence/Haley ticket.

Bill Clinton said to the American people in 1992... "It's the economy stupid".

You're right Dave. When all is said and done it is the ability to create value (wealth) for yourself and family that matters most to people. So if unemployment is low, inflation is in check, and the nation is not at war tRump wins reelection in 2020.

So much for truth, integrity, morality, decency, high ideals, and so on when times are good. When there's a chicken in most everyone's pot, clothes on everyone's back, and most everyone has a warm home all is well. The other stuff suddenly becomes much less important. Apparently.

As for impeachment and removal? My bet is that it doesn't happen.

What traditional values? Fiscal responsibility? That hasn't been a value of Republicans in power for a long, long time.

Maybe States' Rights.

Being against unions, the environment, minorities, & women are traditional values that have been retained.

Republicans (and Democrats) are still in favor of endless wars.

The Republican domestic agenda -- tax cuts for the wealthy, attacks on Social Security and the rest of the safety net, making racism and homophobia respectable again, growing restrictions on abortion and even birth control -- is unpopular with the majority of the country. So is Trump's obvious mental instability, impulsiveness, and gross incompetence.

In any case, nobody ever won a battle by declaring it lost before the fighting even started. Cynicism creates losers.

The traditional values the Republicans uphold are "God hats fags" and "you will have your rapist's baby". They've been the party of theocracy for quite a few years now. The fiscal/economic stuff is vestigial.

HB, What is fiscal responsibility. Is it spending more than you take in is that fiscal responsibility. Is it fiscally responsible to give our citizens tax dollars to people who choose not to work or is it fiscally responsible to give billions to non-citizens. Is it responsible to give money to schools to support programs for students who choose not to speak English while taking funds from teachers and infrastructure.
There is no such thing as traditional values because it all depends on what You think are values. Women are abused and speak about it 20 years later wearing a degrading Pus-- hat. Two feminists entertainers complain about abuse while they use a dildo on stage and hump their partner during a performance (madonna and Cyrus).

Minorities, at least some, have no leadership and no family values. How many Asien's are on welfare and have a 3rd grade education. How pervasive is Asien on Asien violence. What have we done for the Native American except make them totally dependent on government handouts. Not enough of them to affect an election so just ignore the issue.

Unions were once a good thing. Now they rob from their members to support the officers high lifestyle and putting everyone in a neat little box. They have outlived their usefulness.

Democrats are no better than Republicans in representing the American people. Both are totally self serving and could care less about the rest of their subjects. Spend your money, figure out a way to get more and keep their jobs while making millions and living the life of an royal.

We can't become fiscally responsible because people will not put up with it. Have people can work do some work to get a paycheck, absurd idea because that will give them self respect.

Trump will not win in 2020 because he is pond scum and the media will NEVER support him. His message has some good ideas he is just the wrong messenger
