Kyrsten Sinema, the first openly bisexual Senator in U.S. history, has been sworn into office by Mike Pence, while swearing in on a law book instead of a bible. This whole picture is poetry.

Perfect!

The future confronts the past.

The story should be that two Native Americans were seated. This doesn't play into the lefts mantra because they are the true minority but small in numbers. Surprised warren didn't make a speech about this since these are her people.

First order of business was to pass the budget without any mention of protecting the American people and of course calling for trump's impeachment. Very productive.

skud, you do nothing but complain, complain, complain. Try to be more positive, it's better for your health.

Just pointing out some facts Ms Shaw. I do hope congress returns to serving the people, or I should say starts serving the people. I do have a firm belief that all politicians are inherently corrupt and only do what is best for them. Some of the new members may change that which would be nice. Although I diametrically oppose the agenda of Cortes I applaud her for not marching in lock step with her party and having a mind of her own. I think that is what we elect them for but it seldom happens.

As it should be. Hopefully it will eventually become the norm.
