DJT is not the president of the United States; he's the president of the base of the GOP, the 30 percenters.
A real president doesn't punish Americans who've been battered by natural disasters, Americans who've lost family, homes, everything.
But this grossly imcompetent impostor who sits in the Oval Office (thanks to Putin) is doing just that. He has stopped all FEMA funds for Americans who were devastated by the California wild fires. You read that right. He is abandoning Americans in need.
He's not my president; he's not America's president. He's the 30 percenters' admired serial adulterer and con man. Now his supporters can add heartless, vindictive, monster to that list.
Trump says he has ordered FEMA to cut off funding for California wildfires, and Nancy Pelosi, who represents a district in California, said his threat "insults the memory of scores of Americans who perished in wildfires last year & thousands more who lost their homes." She called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, also of California, to join her to "condemn & call on POTUS to reassure millions in CA that our govt will be there for them in their time of need." Kevin McCarthy has not responded.

We can probably guess that once again, Trump is lying. He did not cut off FEMA support. He's lying about it. It's just something he said, with again, no basis in reality.
What is larger issue, in my opinion, is why few ppl in his party see any of this as an issue.
Trump's unreliability is causing great harm. Even Republicans won't publicly back his positions because they know he's going to double back and leave them hanging. He's lying not just to America and the Dems, but to his own party. And they know it.
Why won't they confront him? Are they unable to see they are backing him at the risk of their political futures?

Billions of dollars are sent to the State of California for Forest fires that, with proper Forest Management, would never happen. Unless they get their act together, which is unlikely, I have ordered FEMA to send no more money. It is a disgraceful situation in lives & money!

The POTUS announced to America that: "I have ordered FEMA to send no more money."
Now I learn that is a lie.
And what sort of vindictive monster of a POTUS would threaten broken and devastated Ameriacans with the loss of funds to help them rebuild their lives?' Donald J. Trump that's who. He hasn't a humanly decent bone in his body. What would anyone expect from a man who separates families and puts children in cages? Who has no sympathy for refugees whose children died while seeking asylum?

Madam Pelosi, like all politicians, is totally biased. She and Charles don't really care about the wall or securing our borders all they care about is not giving the donald anything. Immigration reform and enforcing our laws would be the better idea than building a stupid wall. The problem is several cities and states say to hell with our laws and the democrats support that stance. There was once a president who had an opportunity to pass immigration reform but he chose to kick it down the road because illegals were not supposed to vote and they couldn't afford thousand dollar a plate fund raisers.

skudrunner completely ignores that there is NOW A "PRESIDENT" who had TWO YEARS with complete control of Congress who did not ask Congress to give him the funds for THE WALL, and who did not even submit a budget with money for THE WALL in it! Can skud tell us why?
This is THE WALL that Trump promised again and again and again that Mexico would pay for, NOT the American taxpayer.
Skud's solutions to our problems is to blame President Obama and Nancy Pelosi. Skud has NEVER mentioned the fact that Trump had two years to do this.
PS. Mr. Obama decided that overhauling our health care system with a plan that the Republican think tank, The Heritage Foundation, approved was more important, because America has the costliest health care system with one of the worst outcomes.
Skud won't face that fact. He can only name and blame.

Yes Shaw... President Trump did indeed have two years with a GOP led Congress and Senate. They also had a Democratic Party that offered up 30 billion for border security in an agreed upon exchange for a Dreamer fix.
And then Trump turned on the television and heard Hannity screaming about the deal and nixed it. He nixed the very deal he asked for.
How are any of the Dem leaders, or even the GOP for that matter, to know what Trump wants? he negotiates against himself.
And Skud, you, like the crowd at the Mother Ship mistake a difference of opinion on how to secure the border with the belief that Dems don't want to secure the border. Can you guys understand nuance, or English for that matter?
Screw the border,we need to secure Bedminster golf club where undocumented immigrants sneek in and take jobs from American workers.
