Great picture of MLK!

Just surfing the blogs and found this:

"Someone on FB mentioned how kids are off today for MLK Day but go to school on Veteran’s Day….fascinated me. Saddened me."

It took me all of 2 seconds to google that lie and find this:

"Search Results

Veterans Day is a public holiday. It is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed. Veterans Day honors those who served the United States in all wars, especially veterans.

The woman who runs that blog is lazy and grossly uninformed. She spreads stupid fake emails and fake rumors all the time and her half-wit readers love her moronic whining about fake stories.

Schools are CLOSED on Veterans Day. She read on facebook they're not, so it MUST BE TRUE! And she's sad those same schools are closed on MLK Day! Someone send this unfortunate woman a link to Google and brighten her very sad, very horrible day!

This is why tRump is president. People like her and her friends swallow any crap they hear or read that plays into their fears and biases!

OH THE STUPID! IT BURNS!!!!

MLK, clearly not a perfect man in his personal life, gave his life to better our country. His story is one that should inspire everyone to reach for what is better in America, Even as he was being beaten and denied his legal rights, he resisted the urge to personally attack people and instead, chose to speak against racist and segregational laws, policies and customs.

He was a man our politicians and leaders should look to emulate in their public lives.
