The current GOP is a clear and present danger to our American democracy.

It's not about if they succeed. It's about the fact that defeated President Donald Trump was able to get at least 13 U.S. Senators and 140 members of the House of Representatives to violate the constitution and commit sedition. This is a clear and present danger.

I recently put out a comment I found about a few reps and senators being charged with sedition and kicked out after Lincoln's election.

Most of my posts of late are tagged either trump - a Clear and Present Danger or trump & the GOP - Clear and Present Dangers. Because that IS exactly what they are. Democracy and the republic mean nothing to them. Loyalty to party, its leader, and raw power is ALL the GOP cares about. They are the tyrants of the present and future. UNLESS, we do somethimg about it.

From the President of the United States. Not from an anonymous source, or some underling, but the President himself in a call to the Sec of State of Georgia on Saturday. And we know this not from a source, but from a tape of the actual call, the president's own voice, his words.

“The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry,” he said. “And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated... So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state... There’s no way I lost Georgia... There’s no way. We won by hundreds of thousands of votes.”

The House, as soon as it is sworn tomorrow, should impeach President Trump again.

He has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and he is doing this. Make every single republican go on record saying this behavior is fine, not unconstitutional and best for the US.

Shaw... our president himself is a "clear and present danger."

Dave I don't consider Trump nor the Trumpublicans supporting this sedition Americans.

And what Trump and his lackeys in Congress are doing is EXACTLY: Sedition against the United States of America.

I've read that the people Trump is encouraging to rally on Jan. 6 have said they're willing to kill to keep Trump in power.

I'm not making that up. That has been seen on their social media (Parler) platforms.

Yes. That's right. Trump has encouraged people to murder because he and they are angry Trump lost a fair and legal election.

In a fair world, Trump would be put on trial for sedition and face imprisonment.

But America has lost its way -- Trump broke her.

I'm at a loss as to what will happen.

What did people expect when they elected a known liar, cheat, and fraud?

Yup, a lying vindictive POS known throughout the world as nothing but a goddamn source of pure evil. Frankly the son-of-a-bitch deserves to rot in a federal penitentiary for his goddamn sedition. In ANY other era the asshole would have been tried for treason and then died before a firing squad. It's too bad our nation has lost its balls as well as its good sense. It would rather lose its freedoms and libertiies to the likes of An Obese Orange Shit.
