I think Trump should choose Governor Noem as his vice president.

They would make THE perfect MAGA ticket:

The Rapist and the Puppy Killer

Here's what I don't understand. Why not just give the dog to a shelter?

I get the rural lifestyle, but none of my rancher friends would have done something like that to a healthy animal.

It's all very odd.

Weil, Noem meets the MAGA standards - against anything good and for anything rotten.
My only problem is that she isn't orange colored like der Grifter.

Perhaps the more one grifts, the deeper the orange hue sets in.

Donald Trump, grooming the next generation of grifters.

Why not Romney for VP then? Didn't he put his dog in a carrier on his car's roof?

She also described shooting a goat and three horses. Maybe she just likes shooting things. Pigs were not mentioned. Maybe she just sends them to Joni Ernst.

What a ticket. I can see the opposition slogan now. "You can't trust them around your dog -- or his daughter."

Hi everyone,

I’m currently enjoying time with my California family, but wanted to respond to your comments

The thought of shooting a barely year old puppy ( in the head, yet! ) is horrifying. To admit to such a thing in a book is puzzling. Why ?

I volunteer on a goat farm west of Boston. The billy goats and bucklings can be very aggressive, but the owners of the farm do not kill them! There’s an agricultural school that takes the unwanted males for teaching purposes and to live out their lives. They are not shot,

The farm I volunteer at has 3 dogs, 10 milkers, And 12 doelings ( young females who’ve not been bred yet) and only ONE male. That’s all that is needed. Also we have 10 ducks that help keep the tick and other insect count down. They generously provide delicious duck eggs to us, the volunteers.

The goat farm is a welcome change from city living, and I absolutely love the wonderful animals that I get to interact with. The goats are gentle and affectionate creatures.

The farm provides various goat milk products to surrounding businesses. We sell milk, yogurt, yogurt drink, and fromage blanc.

Thank you all for your comments!

Hi Shaw,

I felt in this whole story that the goat was not given the attention it needed. Don't know if you are on Facebook or not, but I follow the Black Goat Farm and Sanctuary https://www.facebook.com/blackgoatsanctuary, where they have taken in many goats (and sheep, pigs, mini horses, etc) that farmers don't want due to physical disabilities or they just are too old. They neuter the male goats and everyone gets along very well. If you go to their Facebook page, the first video shows twin 2-week old lambs playing with a young blind goat (Parker) they took in last fall. The poor thing was confined to a small pen, developed meningitis and became blind and was covered in lice. Now it has a wonderful life interacting with many of the animals that call Black Goat Sanctuary their home.

Thanks for the link to the goat page on Facebook. I’ll certainly check it out.

You all mistake pets for animals. Ranch and farm animals aren't "pets". Would you act shocked if a farmer when to the chicken coop and hacked its' head off? Or would you just compliment the chef for the roast chicken on your plate.

Ever hear of Joseph de Maistre and the "St. Petersburg Letters"? As he writes: “from the maggot up to man, the universal law of the violent destruction of living things is unceasingly fulfilled” (St Petersburg Dialogues, 1821). Indeed it is. There’s more: “The entire earth, perpetually steeped in blood, is nothing but an immense altar on which every living thing must be immolated without end.”

Read his commentaries on The Executioner. Perhaps then you can view the world through a true "conservative's" eyes.

Wow! I did not have “defender of puppy killer” on this week’s Bingo card, but there it is.

Also, Noem stated that she “ hated” that puppy.

Most Americans, even those who live on a working farm, do NOT sympathize with the puppy killer.

PS, a chicken gets killed to be eaten, the only reason one shoots a puppy in the head is out of malice. There is no need for that sort of cruelty in this day and age.

I looked up that philosopher our troll with the many faces quoted. OMG - yeah, lets use his ideas as a basis of a modern society/NOT!!! And their assumption that we liberal folks don't understand farming, oh my stars and garters. What hubris! But at least they are true to form by underestimating anyone who doesn't look/talk/smell/believe as they do.

I'm glad you are having a grand time with your family Shaw. I find myself coming to the site looking for new posts even as I know you are otherwise occupied. Silly, but there you go.

Noem stated that she “ hated” that puppy.

Yeah, it BIT her!

Joe Conservative said...

You would have preferred a euthanisation?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Just returned from a lovely walk along Laguna Beach and found another couple of comments defending and making excuses for the puppy killer.

Why am I not surprised?

I have an idea, I nominate JoCon and -FJ as chairmen of the Committee To Defend Rapists & Puppy Killers. Wear that like a badge of honor!

PS. When I came home from having my first child, our new puppy, a very rambunctious and destructive sheltie, had torn apart our living room furniture and knocked over all our floor plants. I couldn’t deal with a newborn and my recovery after a very difficult labor and birth, so my husband brought the puppy to friends who lived on 2 acres of land in the country. The dog was very happy there and flourished

We did not shoot it in the face.

The is no excuse for what that awful woman did to that poor puppy. None.

Joe Conservative said...

Did the dog bite anyone?

Joe Conservative said...

Any stray or unwanted dog, cat, or ferret that bites a person may be euthanized immediately by an animal health professional and the head should be submitted for rabies testing.

Thersites said...

So yes, there is a valid excuse for what that woman did to that dangerous animal. :)

Shaw Kenawe said...

Yes, she was a PUPPY who nipped and bit when she was excited.

We did not shoot her in the head, we placed her in another home where she was very well looked after and happy.

Years later we had cats. The last one, who lived for 20 years, bit my hand once. We didn’t shoot him, either.

Noem has to be the dumbest pol in the country for telling that horrid story about her shooting an excitable puppy. She probably thought it would make her look tough to the MAGAS. Instead she came off looking like a soulless monster.

Epic self-own!

Shaw Kenawe said...

No, Thersites,

Noem said she shot the puppy for killing a friend’s chicken. Her own account does not say the dog bit her. The puppy did not bite her.

Apparently, she shot the puppy in the face because, as she herself wrote in her book, she “hated that dog.”

The dog did NOT bite her, did not bite her child.

We’ll just note that you are someone who feels compelled to defend puppy killers ( and sexual assaulters).

Shaw Kenawe said...

JoeCon,

Noem’s puppy did not bite her, according to her own account in her book.

Noem is a puppy killer.

Les Carpenter said...

The inhumanity of some humans. One who would kill an innocent puppy would do unspeakable things to human life when given the chance.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Nice try, -FJ, but what you posted is not Noem’s original account that was written in her book. What you posted is from her social media account AFTER she was criticized for killing her puppy.

It’s called “damage control.”

But it’s too late. Noem will always be known as a puppy killer.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Also, Noem is a liar, just like her cult leader, Trump:

Noem wrote, “I had the chance to travel to many countries to meet with world leaders. I remember when I met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. I’m sure he underestimated me, having no clue about my experience staring down little tyrants (I’d been a children’s pastor, after all).”

👉🏻👉🏻 They never met. 👈🏻👈🏻

Noem’s spokesperson, Ian Fury, conceded that the Kim story was false: “We’ve been made aware that the publisher will be addressing conflated world leaders’ names in the book before it is released."

Something Noem claimed?

Joe Conservative said...

Nothing good ever came from "negation", Les. You need to develop a more "positive" outlook. Now, go "negate" your Ego some more.

In Nietzsche the essential relation of one force to another is never conceived of as a negative element in the essence. In its relation with the other force, which makes itself obeyed, it does not deny the other or that which it is not, it affirms its' own difference and enjoys this difference. The negative is not present... on the contrary it is the result of activity, of the existence of an active force, and the affirmation of its difference.

Negation "is only a subsequently invented, pale, contrasting image in relation to its' positive basic concept - filled with life and passion." - Nietzsche, Genealogy of Morals

Deleuze's Nietzsche wants to affirm difference because guess what, it can create new stuff. There's no good and evil, true and false, in Nietzsche. We invent those because we value them, or we value them because we invented them, the humanist conceit. We can say where Nietzsche affirms difference, Hegel disappears it. Each instance of the will to power is a "yes", an affirmation, whereas every negation or starting with a lack, is a "no".
