‘Basically, the entire world makes fun of this man,’ Conway said. ‘In MAGA Land, they don't appreciate what a global, planetary joke he is to the world. They think of Donald Trump as this tough guy who scares everybody. He scares everybody the same way that a five-year-old walking around on a roof holding a bomb might scare. But he's weak and pathetic and stupid.’” --George Conway

I saw a gal on TV the other day being asked about tRUMP and his ramblings. She said, "Oh I know. But I try not to pay attention to that and just focus on what he does". She's not focusing very well, is she?

Conway's ex-wife Kellyanne said "Trump is the unifier that Biden said he would be"
George divorced her and her daughter rejected her. But...she's an expert on unity?

s and expert on unity.

It's good to see liberals trapped in an endless regressive loop of TDS, hauntologically trapped in the year 2016. So much for "progress". :)

The World had to take him seriously when he won the presidency. If he wins again for a second separate term as president, the World will take him more seriously.

Or, the inhabitants of the sane sector of the World will take him for being even more deluded and demented than he was in 2017-2021.

Sam is correct in this. Many on the more conservative blogs seem to think Trump was respected by world leaders when he was president.

I think, as Sam pointed out, they took him seriously, because he was president. But it seems clear they do not respect him.

Unless Conway and many others reporting the same are all wrong, which of course is possible. But then I would expect a rash of MAGA supporting news media to be making a positive case regarding his level of international respect.

And we've yet to see that.

Which is a pretty Trumpian happening. His followers, backers and Trump himself frequently decry how he is portrayed in the media and now, in the court room. He's innocent they say, it's all fake news they say, it's all a hoax.

Yet they never offer any evidence to back up their claims, just their words. Even when, as was the case in the recent NY trial, Trump had a clear chance to offer his exculpatory evidence, he remained silent.

Except for his hoax and fake news claims.

As the post claims... Trump is not respected at all. But... we better take him seriously.

It's good to see your devotion to coming here and reading what we think of the convicted felon, rapist, and tax fraud.

No matter how many times you visit here, you will not find any of us making any excuses for Trump's criminal behaviors.

Y'all demand your "<a href='https://farmersletters.blogspot.com/2024/06/byung-chul-han-psycho-politics-crisis.html">freedumb</a>"! or is it a <a href="https://youtu.be/0gKuADVXLKE?si=DgYPv79qmgdTYrxu">new fweedom</a>, received from a family of former slave holders?

...after all, doesn't criminality justly lie "in the eye of the beholder"?

...but in order to believe THAT, one would have to morally abstract BEYOND the group-think inherent in the "legal" sphere, despite progressive efforts to merge the two ideals (ala totalitarianism).

Does anyone think O.J. did not do it?
Does anyone think Trump is not a lying, criminally insane person who should not hold the office of president of the U.S.
Some people (our fellow citizens) believe O.J. did not do it and Trump is a great leader.
Takes all kinds to make up a country. Those beliefs do go across the oceans.

FJ, I don't know what you're going on about. Could you ask Joe Conservative to come out. I have a couple serious policy questions regarding the presidential election. Is his water pressure stronger or weaker than it was 4 years ago? Would he rather be electrocuted by a submerged boat battery or eaten by a shark?

LOL! Is that comment in reference to THIS?

-FJ/JoeCon/Thersites are champions of obscurantist comments.

Eve would have been right at home in our Meta-Modern "Age of Profilicity".

Sincerity -> Authenticity -> Profilicity

Are you still only one Blogger, trying to remain 'authentic"? Isn't it time we all became our "profilitic selves". Look at me, yesterday I was cisgen... now I'm trans... tomorrow I'm the (+) in LGBTQ+... can't we admit that Shakespeare was right?

Shakespeare, "As You Like It" (spoken by Jaques)

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms;
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lin’d,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well sav’d, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion;
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Can you point to anyone, besides the voices in your head, who has said anything like this.
Joe, will you answer the questions I asked FJ to ask you?

Shakespeare is describing the parts we play at different stages of our lives. You are playing many parts, all at once, using several names. Quoting The Bard won't save you. Help is available.

Craig,

-FJ/JoeCon/Thersites needs to prove he's above average in wit and wisdom -- mostly he needs to prove that to himself.
