THE JOKES ARE WRITING THEMSELVES

Note:  I'm glad Platner is out. I'm also glad to see the galloping hypocrisy and non-self-awareness of the Party of Deplorables out in the open.

Platner is as unsavory and disreputable a candidate as ever ran for office, but he has yet to be indicted, put on trial, and convicted of his alleged sexual assault/rape. Unlike Trump, who IS a convicted SA/rapist, AND a convicted felon.

The Republican Party is so insane that it doesn't see that their condemnation of Platner shows them to be the worst, most immoral pandering sycophants on the planet.

The world is laughing at them!

It was evident to the aware observer exactly what the character of the malignant narcissist rapist trump was in 2016. Guess America has a lot of unaware people in its voting population.

Or else they're like trump. Which o course does not bode well for this country's future

Les, our country as it was is gone. Even if we could recover it many of the younger folks are asking a very good question - why?

See, I'm not sure this divide can be bridged, and per what I'm hearing from the young folks they are asking the hard question of why provide your opponent an escape route through your own backyard when they are in the process of burning down our houses, kicking the doggos, and shooting our neighbors?

OT but related in the humor division added to the GOP's clueless take this week on the Platner issue Mitch McConnell is reportedly hospitalized after collapsing at home and being rushed by ambulance to hospital. Rumors abound that EMT's performed CPR on the Senator and even more rumors state he's not regained consciousness since arriving. To deflect from these stories the MAGA faithful were quick to report "conversations" folks have had with Mitch with such intricate detail that one just knows they are lying through their teeth.

In a functioning government these events couldn't take place because there would be safeguards in place. That said, the ideal of America is far from over.

Because it is just so hot and I can't tolerate the booms and flashes I've been spending a lot of time surfing the socials. Oh my stars, what I've witnessed has given me hope. After the flop of the State Fair on the Mall which Trump has been flogging endlessly many folks weren't feeling the 250th vibe so they focused instead on family, friends, good food, and camaraderie. Post after post, account after account showed me that while everyone of them "did their own thing" they all did it together. Honestly, it was the most American thing I've ever witnessed.

Hope this helps. I know, short on the details of how we get from here to there but from what I can tell these young folks grew up while flying by the seat of their pants. Their contingency plans have plans is what I'm saying. We don't have to know the details, we just have to believe they can get the plane which is the USA safely on the ground.
