"...a very small price to pay."

By now, you've probably heard that during a campaign rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, on Monday, Trump made the following remarks while discussing gas prices and the ongoing war with Iran:

“And again, remember, with the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay, and it's going to be over with very soon.”

We are at war with Iran. Those words, coming from the mouth of the President of the United States, sound like "giving aid and comfort to an enemy," to me and to many other Americans.

This is not funny; it isn't a joke, and it isn't "Trump being Trump," because those words should NEVER come from the lips of any American while we are at war with our enemy, never mind the POTUS.

This is Trump's id, again, showing us all his uncensored thinking and his uncensored self. And it shows us his complete disregard for his fellow Americans, because those words were in response to a criticisms about the price of fuel brought on by his disastrous and poorly thought out war with Iran.

We all know that the one thing Trump cannot deal with is criticism about anything he does. His was angered by those criticisms; and as a result, his sense of self-esteem, self-importance, and self-image were injured.  There is only one thing that drives Trump: his ego and sense of self-importance, his false image of his invincibility and greatness (reinforced by his feckless enablers and cultists).

When he suffers an injury to his ego, he engages in ad hominem attacks on women, men, political rivals, former presidents, heads of state, even members of his own party, because the injury is unbearable to someone who suffers from the personality disorder he has.

Once again, out of context with no caritas in the interpretation. And you wonder why the flyover states hate you...

He is such an idiot. I'm sure he is clueless about San Diego, like:

over 115,165 active duty service members are stationed in San Diego
1 out of 6 active duty Sailors are stationed in San Diego
1 out of 4 active duty Marines are stationed in San Diego
230,507 veterans live in San Diego
(information from the San Diego Military Advisory Council)

He continues to be the best vote getter for the democrats. His pretend he is on the ballot was a great move for democrats because of people disgusted with him. What the democrats should do is promote his events because they are pro democrat party. Makes you wonder since he was a former democrat if he still is.
What we need to wonder is once he is neutralized by the democrat win in both chambers what do the do then because they have a lot of we are going to do everything without one plan.

Once again, you don't understand that when the US president speaks, everyone listens to his words, especially when he's waging war in a Middle East country.

Trump should keep his mouth shut and his fantasies to himself. He proves over and over again that he doesn't know how to communicate. He is a terrible speaker with no skills except to arouse the worst emotions in people, which is valuable for an otherwise brainless demagogue and authoritarian.

I don't need to be lectured by people who constantly took former presidents Obama's and Biden's words out of context. That's politics. You seem to be upset only when it happens to the Felon-in-Chief.

Trump said those words; you're upset with how people heard them, not for Trump saying them.

BTW, even the flyover states are getting sick of Trump's incompetence and stupidity.

Good grief, skud. The Democrats haven't won anything yet, and here you are whining about stuff they haven't done.

When a US President speaks, it's been said, it's policy. Maybe you are correct Joe, but give us an objective method for determining when POTUS Trump is being serious, and when he's full of bull pucky.

How are we to know. And if we're struggling to understand him, is it possible people not as familiar with American culture might be also?

This goes back to take Trump at his word, but not literally.

I'm willing to do that if someone, maybe you, can give us the hermenuetical method for understanding him.

Because right now, every time he opens his mouth, even your fellow conservatives on the Mothership are basically saying he needs to shut up cause he sounds like an idiot.

Finally... what exactly is/was the context of a US president speaking of wiping out Los Angeles and San Diego, a conservative city BTW, with nukes?
