I'd have been pretty surprised if it had been anything other than Boston, frankly.

Nine out of the ten smartest cities are in traditionally liberal blue states.

And the exception (I'm assuming you mean) is Raleigh NC, which is part of the wave of development and migration which is gradually turning North Carolina blue too.

I don't know if anyone has been cruel enough to compile a list of the dumbest cities in the country, but I suspect the Republican heartland from the Florida panhandle and the Georgia state line to Texas outside DFW and Houston would be pretty well represented.

Infidel, surveys done by organizations and publications that are not run by liberals always come up with consistent results:

The states run by conservative governors and legislatures are always ranked at the bottom where quality of life issues are concerned.

Mississippi, for example, a solidly conservative state, is solidly in the bottom of all categories that contribute to people's well-being: health, education, and job opportunities.

When will people wake up to the fact that slavish adherence to conservative politics in all things keeps people poor, uneducated, and hopeless?

What will it take to get these people to see what's in front of their noses?

RN, yes, it was a blow-out. And great fun to watch.

In a list of the least smart states in the U.S. here's what it says about Mississippi:

"Mississippi is the state of a bygone era. Prior to the Civil War, Mississippi's agricultural economy -- and reliance on slave labor -- made it the fifth wealthiest state in the country. However currently it is near the bottom in most economic and educational measures. Mississippi residents received $2.02 in federal spending for every dollar they paid in taxes. The state has the highest poverty rate in the country at 20.1%.

We can certainly say that conservative politics has not lifted Mississippi out of poverty and has not improved its literacy. So what good has it done for its citizens?

Airport Streaking?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Yes airport streaking. Someone ought to tell Radical Redass about it so he can add pics of the nekkid dude to the man porn he loves to look at and share with the Porn Queen. Heh.

I imagine Rad Red to be part of the baboon family. Except baboons are undoubtedly smarter than he is.

Shaw: Wisconsin can for sure one-up the "nude dude sprinkler system" in the airport.

For exhibit A, I present this.

Liberals make life better on average for the masses. Conservatives make life better for rich individuals.

dmarks,

Humans are strange creatures, especially football fan humans.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Jerry, on average, blue states perform better in quality of life issues than the reddest of red states.

Who the heck are the "Ahem?" Are they the same species as the "Phlegm?" I am told that being around the Phlegm is like watching a football game on TV with the sound turned off.

On CNN yesterday, Sen. Lindsey Graham spoke about the recently released Benghazi report: "I think the report is full of crap." His comment made more sense after I turned the sound off.

Meanwhile, other members of the Pee Tardy are calling the report a coverup. They should check their PSA levels more often: You know there's a problem when your PSA test is higher than your IQ.

Poor Lindsey, even McCain and Ayotte want nothing to do with him on this one.

By far, California continues to have the nation’s highest level of poverty.

So, what good has the liberal and progressive dominance of the super state's politics done for it's citizens?
