General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Good Morning! Are the Goopers still supporting their favorite pedophile?
Daily Beast:
Steve Bannon And Allies Have Second Thoughts About Roy Moore,
Sources Say Team Breitbart was defiant at first that the charges were BS. But even their resolve is starting to wane. Several of Bannon’s most trusted allies have already told him that it would be “insane,” as one put it, to believe at this point that the Moore accusations are baseless. They have also warned that the time is rapidly approaching when he would have to disavow Moore before it appeared as though he was simply caving to political pressure. (Critics of Bannon, of course, argue he should never have backed Moore in the first place.)
I wonder if the brilliant mind who wrote this:
"I have news for everyone: At 14, any girl would LOVE to have any attention from a 32 year old guy. Was it sex or was it a guy flirting to see the reaction of a cute 14 yr old?"
still thinks it's NBD for a 32 year old to pay "attention" to a 14 year old girl? It is astonishing to read that the Goopers will excuse anything, including child molestation and pedophilia, to get their guy into the US Senate. The Goopers have shown us again and again that they have no moral compass, for they have abandoned it and their religious teachings for political power by excusing the moral reprobate, Roy Moore.
No one should ever take these people seriously if they ever wag their fingers at anyone (including the Clintons) on family or moral values.
And finally, for Trump Hump Day, this from Conservative Max Boot on our "simpering coward" POTUS:
"Trump’s Worst Trip Ever. Until His Next One.
A look back at the American president’s rollercoaster ride through Asia. The president’s conduct in Beijing serves as a reminder that bullies are also cowards. Trump is aggressive in confronting those weaker than he is — Gold Star parents, for example, or journalists — but when confronted with a true tough guy like Xi or Putin, he cowers and simpers.
Only when Trump arrived at his next stop, in Vietnam, did he go back to tough talk on trade. He delivered his familiar “America First” message, telling the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, “We are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore. I am always going to put America first, the same way I expect all of you in this room to put your countries first.”
It does not seem to occur to Trump that his go-it-alone message is at odds with his attempts to mobilize other countries, China in particular, against North Korea. Such unilateralist talk also leads other country to conclude that they can no longer count on the United States, and therefore they must somehow go their own way. Thus America’s Pacific allies are moving ahead with the Trans-Pacific Partnership minus the United States, Trump having pulled out of this important trade treaty at the start of his presidency."

More Moore swampy lies and deceptions from the man the GOP wants to put in the US Senate:
Roy Moore’s Wife Forged Old Letter to Show 50 Pastors Support Him
After the Washington Post published a story detailing how Alabama’s Republican candidate for Senate Roy Moore initiated sexual contact with multiple teenager when he was in his 30’s, his wife posted a letter of support from 53 pastors on Facebook.
But the letter Moore’s wife Kayla posted on Facebook had originally been written in August — before the allegations of sexual misconduct came out — and published on Moore’s campaign website. Several of the priests say they were not notified the letter was being edited and republished, and have asked to have their names removed from the list of signatories.
Remember this the next time a GOP/Conservative complains about dishonest "libtards." They actually hope to put a pedophile in the US Senate, and it looks like that will happen.
Such winning!
Bannon better watch out for the Moore-ons infesting his comment threads. Many of them have exuberantly declared their willingness to turn against Trump himself if he speaks out against Moore. I don't think they'll hesitate to turn against Bannon too. They've got too much emotionally invested in this.
The right-wing fake media have created a monster -- a population of raving nutjobs living in an alternate-reality bubble steeped in equal parts credulity and rage. It was good for quite a few election wins. The problem is that monsters are hard to control and tend to turn on their creators.
What's Trump saying about this? Anything? I haven't heard. Is he afraid of upsetting his Evangelical voters in Alabama if he comes out and tells Moore he should step down? Are the Republicans going to stand behind a pedophile and show the world what they really stand for?
It looks like they will. At least we'll have more proof of how slimey they are.
And another RINO, noted libtard Sean Hannity said today that Moore has 24 hours to better explain himself, or get out of the race.
It's looking like the GOP is fully realizing what embracing Trumpism is doing to their already damaged brand.
But here's the tough part. Two articles in The Atlantic and Politico [by Jeff Greenfield] have both taken the Democratic Party to task for enabling Bill Clinton calling him, based on the evidence, a "serial molester."
That admission begs a HUGE question for the GOP leadership like McConnell, McCain and others... what is the difference between believing the women who have accused Clinton, which the GOP has always believed, the women who have accused Weinstein, which the GOP believes, the women who have accused Judge Roy Moore, which the GOP now says they believe, and the women who have and are accusing President Trump?
Are we to believe that all those other women are telling the truth, that all those other men were cads guilty of harassment and in some case pedophilia and yet the women who have accused Trump are all, as he claims, liars? What is it that makes them believe women in all these other cases yet not believe them when it comes to the current occupant of the White House?
That is the big issue facing the GOP and their partisans today.
Soon Moore will be ushered off the national stage, as he should be. What remains of the GOP and the presidency remains to be seen.
Dave, I've asked the same question. Why do the GOPers believe the accusations by the women who claim they've been molested by Clinton, Weinstein, and now Moore, but don't believe any of the numerous women who've accused Trump?
They need to explain that. Now.
Meanwhile, while the fiddling continues, the GOP includes in "Tax Reform" a windfall to corporations on the belief they'll reinvest in America. When Gary Cohn, WH Economist asked business leaders how many would actually do that, he was stunned to see very few.
Why would they? They are already reaping record profits and full employment. If they don't need to invest to make those record profits, why would they? And that idiocy is before people realize that the Senate bill cuts the Obama care mandate, sucking almost 350 million away from health care to give to those corporations.
And yet no one sees this stuff because we're all fixated on Moore.
The definition below defines the word pedophile.
Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13.
Perhaps you might want to chose different terminology to describe Roy Moore Shaw.
Words have meaning and you can be assured the forces supporting Moore will use everything they can to discredit what his oppose say.
Just a friendly suggestion.
The dictionary defines a pedophile:
pe·do·phile
ˈpedəˌfīl/Submit
noun
a person who is sexually attracted to children.
Technically, your definition is correct.
But I guess I should choose a different term to describe Moore. How about "dirty old man?"
☺... Works perfectly!
So... here's what I am wondering about in relation to all of the recent allegations. Perhaps as a woman, you have some insight a guy might not have.
It centers around the question of different mores and customs during different phases of our existence.
For instance, was Robert Byrd a Klansman racist? Yes, of course he was. But he owned it, said he was wrong and worked to atone for those "sins" for many years. Was he a racist when he died? I would say no. He was a changed man.
Were folks like Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein people who abused and harassed women? Yes they were. But they have never owned up to it. So when they die, do they get a pass? Probably not from me.
Roy Moore, in addition to groping women, had abused young girls. And he is, like Clinton and Weinstein, also unrepentant. Does he get a pass? Never... because he preyed on girls.
Now we get to Al Franken. Is he redeemable? Perhaps so, if he owns up, and like Robert Byrd, continues to work to be a better man.
I think there does need to be some sort of statute of limitations. I am not sure anyone I worked with 30 years ago, under todays standards, would be innocent of workplace sexual harassment.
What should we do? Do we hold people accountable, to the extent that they lose their jobs, for their sins of long ago? If they own up, are they held to a different standard?
We're in new territory right now...
Shaw: Why do the GOPers believe the accusations by the women who claim they've been molested by Clinton [etc], but don't believe any of the numerous women who've accused Trump?
The women accusing Trump are lying. We know this because he said so. And said he was going to sue them. It's a Cultural Marxist/Deep State conspiracy to take down Trump.
Well said Dave.
Judgment based on complete record is a proper and just judgement.
