Ok, after hearing the history of the Texas gunman, I finally get it. Before you can buy a gun in the USA, you first can beat your wife numerous times and point a gun at her and be charged with 6 counts of domestic violence, then you can beat and kick her baby until you break his skull, then, after you've served a prison sentence for that violence, you can be court-martialed and removed from the military for “bad conduct,” and THEN, after ALL that, you can have an hour-long stand-off with police after you’ve clubbed your dog in the head - after which you are then arrested for animal cruelty — AND THEN AND ONLY THEN you can go out a legally buy the assault weapon of your choice! WHY DOESN’T ANY OTHER COUNTRY FOLLOW OUR FINE EXAMPLE?!

God bless Texas and let’s send all our stupid assholes there. God knows they won’t notice a few more. Then, if we are lucky, maybe they will secede.

From Huffpost:

Five months before his sentencing, Kelley escaped from Peak Behavioral Health Services in the state, where he had been placed for a “mental disorder,” according to an El Paso police report first obtained by Click 2 Houston.

During the June 2012 incident, a ″[witness] advised officers that [Kelley] suffered from mental disorders and had plans to run from [the facility],” the report says. He had been labeled a “danger to himself” and had “already been caught sneaking firearms onto Holloman Air Force base,” the report continues. It also says Kelley made death threats to military officials.

Kelley was found at a bus terminal, where he was released into the custody of Sunland Park Police. The Sunland Park police told local station WFAA that they did not have an arrest report or booking photo for Kelly at the time of his apprehension.

-------------------
Combined with the fact he abused his wife and broke his infant son's skull there seem to have been plenty of flags to deny his purchase of an AR type weapon.

This is a mental health case for sure and if Lord Dampnut had any integrity he'd be demanding to know why this person was not flagged as ineligible to purchase firearms.

“ if Lord Dampnut had any integrity...”

He has shown over and over again that he has no integrity, absolutely zero!

I must say that my support for President Trump will be conditional, I will mak up my mind at a later date. As like my support for all politicians. So long as they are on the side of the law, and are genuinely working towards the best interests of the United States I will support them. I will always have my own political views, and many of those are quite strong. I will criticize, lampoon, and lambast, but at the end of the day I want them to succeed.

I always disagreed with pretty much all of President Obama's actions while in office, and now that he’s out of office and doing his best to harm the new president? I dislike him even more. Indeed I would argue had the Legislature more jealously guarded it's sovereign powers, he very well could have been removed from office, and in retrepect I really think that he should have been, knowing now what I didn’t know back then. And needless to say that goes double for Hillary Clinton. That is not to say that I did not want them to succeed. I did. I wanted him and her to do well and genuinely lead the country. But they did not, but that is a criticism for another time.

Pat, you're all over the place in your comment. In what delerium of yours would President Obama have been removed from office? And what office would Hillary have been removed from? Only President Obama could have "removed" her as SoS. What are talking about? You make no sense.

Meanwhile, you'd do well to remember that it is Trump and his administration that is under criminal investigation by the FBI. Neither President Obama nor Secretary Clinton are.

You need to live in the real world and not in the feverish fantasies of the rabid right.

Do you seriously think that Hillary is not under investigation?
If so then it’s you who are delicious.

Shaw, Pat's comment probably made more sense in its native Russian.
