For a party that is an unconditional supporter of Israel and Nuttyyahoo, this is odd:
REPUBLICAN SENATE CANDIDATE, WHO HAS CALLED FOR COUNTRY 'FREE FROM JEWS,’ COULD BE DIANNE FEINSTEIN’S CHALLENGER
Overt anti-Semites have been slowly creeping into Republican politics in the aftermath of President Trump’s successful, populist candidacy, and now one of them has a fighting chance of representing the Republican Party in a Senate race.
The man in question is Patrick Little, an extremist with hardline anti-Semitic views who is backed by David Duke and other far-right extremists. Little will be squaring off in a top-two primary with 10 other Republicans as well as Democrats and independents on June 5 for the chance to oppose veteran Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. According to a recent poll, released last week, he very much has a chance of winning the right to face off with the incumbent.

And this on the Correspondents' dinner on Saturday night, which the Coward-in-Chief did not attend for the second year in a row, and which I did not watch because lately I have been distracted by all things British.
#45 bragged about grabbing women's genitalia, mocked a disabled NYTimes reporter, insulted a Gold Star family, demeaned a POW, cheated on all 3 wives, and constantly lies to the American people BUT he was elected POTUS? Michelle Wolf was inappropriate at the WHCD? Since when did we hold comediennes to higher standards than the POTUS?
This is what the GOP has done to America.

Shaw... there will be no GOP candidate in the November General Election in California. The primary there is an open free for all and only the two top vote getters will be on the November ballot. Maybe Feinstein and Gavin Newsome. But for sure it will be two dems.
In all fairness, over the years, Dems have had some pretty sketchy "candidates" running Quixotic no chance to win races. And we've never believed you should be defined by the fringes. Sadly, the GOP has become the fringe of their party, penning articles essentially calling for the end of the McCain/Graham/Dole/Bush wing of the party and for their castigation on the RINO dust heap of history.
This current purging makes the removal of the Rockefeller Republicans of the 60's look like afternoon tea.
My worry is that the Dems are settling into likemindedness, looking to jettison anyone not 100% on board with what our fringe sees as the correct "progressive agenda."
It is no longer seen as a good to have a "big tent" so much as it is to have the correct political virtues.
The republicans do not have a candidate who would be a serious threat to Feinstein. Her greatest threat will come from other Democrats.
From VOX:
The real reason Michelle Wolf is under attack is because her Sarah Sanders jokes are true
Sarah Huckabee Sanders can dish it, but Republicans can’t take it.
Trump is the disgrace on America, not Michelle Wolf. She just pointed out how low USA has sunk under Trump, the bigoted liar.
Completely agree Dave. I don't anticipate a change of trajectory in either party any time soon. Republicans are simply a decade ahead of democrats. That gap could close quickly however.
Tonight, go Bruins!!
Acactually Shaw, it was not the truth of what Wolf said that offended me. Rather it was here vulgarity. I don't give a damn that tRump sets a worse example. It does not follow intelligent people need to sink to his gutter. There are more appropriate ways for Wolf to express her disdain for those she targeted. Especially on mainstream TV. She was not in a nightclub for her act. SORRY, but she sank to tRump's sordid level.
The fact that a Naziesque anti-Semite could be a leading Republican candidate for a Senate seat (as happened with a Congressional seat in Illinois recently) illustrates how the gulf between the two parties is wider than ever before, and growing steadily. There is nothing on the Democratic side remotely comparable to the stark raving madness and evil that has an ever-tighter grip on the Republican party.
RN, we'll agree to disagree on this. Wolf's job was to do exactly what she did: Afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted. Trump is the POTUS, his job should be to act with dignity and grace, not as a guttersnipe, which is what he is. Wolf did what all comedians do, jab their fingers in the hypocritical public's eyes.
The officials said Kelly portrays himself to Trump administration aides as the lone bulwark against catastrophe, curbing the erratic urges of a president who has a questionable grasp on policy issues and the functions of government. He has referred to Trump as "an idiot" multiple times to underscore his point, according to four officials who say they've witnessed the comments.
