[T]he notion that the photograph was truly a picture of Karen Monahan that documented her condition after an assault by Ellison was questionable, because neither she nor her son claimed that Ellison had beaten or struck her about the face and head.
Moreover, not only does the pictured woman not look like Karen Monahan, but Monahan herself stated on Twitter that “This picture is NOT me” and asked users to stop sharing it:
SNOPES: "We don’t yet know the real identity of the injured women seen here. This picture appears to have been online for several years, posted from countries such as Russia and South Africa, and offering no descriptive information other than generic terms such as “pregnant woman beaten by her boyfriend”:

The "Democrats don't want to talk about this" because it is a FALSE, FAKE MEME. And this is how the far right morons perpetuate their lies.
This is Keith Ellison and Karen Monahan, NOT the meme above:

Oh Jesus! Nothing on that blog is factual. There's a reason it's called the Shit Pit!
I think you should have mentioned that Monahan has claimed Ellison abused her.
This is the page address from my blog that reprinted a report from the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

The report you site is false, but Ms. Monahan does claim that Ellison has abused her.
Jerry, the meme that the TrumpCultists are spreading is false. Any woman who suffered a beating as severe as that dipicted in the poster would have reported it immediately to the police, and the abuser would have been arrested for assault and battery. The blogger who published this slander didn't think it was important enough to check out the veracity of what she posted. It's sloppy, it's slanderous, and it's typical of the far right TrumpCultists.
As for Ellison and his ex-girlfriend, I hope she follows through and reports whatever abuse she suffered from Ellison, and he should pay the price if he's found guilty.
We do know that Ellison DID NOT assault and batter Monahan -- by Monahan's own words.
Unfortunately women do get beat that badly and do not report it. I hope that is changing.
I suspect this blogger does know the truth and purposely faked the photo just to make Ellison look bad.
Kudos to Ms. Monahan for saying this is a lie, in the middle of charging Ellison with abuse.
FYI: Rep. Knoblach-Dem.-MN has dropped out of his race for reelection because his daughter went on MPR radio and told her story of her father abusing her.
I follow these Minnesota stories, because I live in Minnesota.
MISTAKE: Knoblach is a Republican, not a Democrat
As damnable as the misrepresentation is Jerry is correct. Ms. Monahan does say Ellison abused her over a period of time.
Trumpers, as well as politicians from both parties will sometimes (or often in the case of trumpers) either embellish or omit stuff in ways to enhance their narrative/meme. It is not unusual. Which is, IMO, exactly why politicians and congress are held in such low esteem. Now we have a president working overtime to lower himself and that lofty office into the sewer. Bloggers like the one who posted their Tuesday misrepresentation are happily and energetically working to sink the party ever deeper into the slime.
Jerry, the blogger who posted that fake meme believes in "false facts." She's known for posting lies and fake stories and for allowing her blog to be used by any Trump crackpot who crawls out of the sewer to make a comment.
Jerry, Re: Knoblach and his daughter's claims of abuse: Another "Family Values" Gooper!
