Hahaha. He means Trump is a "bigot candy ass." We know that. tRump is a weakling president who is hated by a whopping 70% of Americans and 100% of the rest of the world, except for the the ReTHUGlicans, the Commies, neoNazis, and Tyrants. They love tRump.

I happen to think it’s sad that Democrats can’t field candidates that can excite voters to vote and vote Democratic without the help of Obama, but I’m glad Obama is chucking tradition and will be out there campaigning for Democrats and speaking out against our criminal president. Speaking out against a criminal president is enough reason to forget tradition.

Jerry... you've hit the nail on the head. Partly.

Dems need two things... first a coherent message that is not just "Not Trump" and then someone who can articulate it.

I'm not sure who that is.

Jerry, It is all about party no and he is truly showing his class by breaking tradition. Carter was the first to speak out and since they both have the same enviable record as president it is not surprising obama didn't follow suit.
The democrats did field a great candidate in 2016 except she showed her true self and got trounced in middle America. She did carry the coasties which is a shock. I will admit that trump could have accomplished great things for the country except he keeps getting in his own way. Of course after eight years of no growth even -H- could have shown improvement.

Anon I'm not laughing anymore. I fail to see humor in the destruction of our democracy.

Jerry, President Obama must know stuff that has him worried and willing to break with tradition and be a real patriot.

Is this one of the "great things" Trump has accomplished:

UNDER TRUMP, CEO PAY SOARS WHILE EMPLOYEE WAGES DECREASE—AND TAX CUTS COULD MAKE GAP EVEN BIGGER

or maybe it was the 3,000 dead American-Puerto Ricans from Hurrican Maria last year when he bragged he was doing a great job?

Maybe you mean the national debt that was $19 trillion when Trump took office, and then said he'd reduce it in 8 years. Today it's $21 trillion, an increase. When President Obama increased the debt, the Goopers went wild, but are silent on Trump's increse of two trillion in a year and a half.

Maybe you mean Trump would do great things by taking babies and children away from their families? Think of how great that makes us look to the rest of the world.

Maybe Trump makes us great again by revealing he bedded a porn star and a playmate after his 3rd wife gave birth to his 5th child (and we're not talking about the doorman at his Golden Tower that said he knows Trump impregnated a housemaid during his marriage to his gorgeous 3rd wife.

Or maybe he's made America great by mocking a POW? A disabled journalist? A Gold Star family? Angered our closest allies?

Now tell me how Mr. Obama came close to embarrassing America by doing any of those things?

Skud,

I was talking about the mid-term Democratic candidates, not some past election, or Hillary.
When you say Trump followed 8 years of no growth, that is simply not true. Remember the financial and unemployment mess the Republicans left Obama? Conservatives conveniently forget the crash they caused and handed to Obama. That's partisan politics, I guess.

Jerry, Dave, Anon, and skud, The Dems should be able to run a baked potato against Trump and win after what he's done to America.

Health care is a winning issue for the Dems. It affects everyone liberal and conservative. Also the fact that the tax cuts did NOT benefit the middle and poorer classes. Theirs are not permanent, but the top 1%'s are.

Shaw,

One good thing about Trump is he will drive voters to vote Democratic. And when we get majority again, I hope we go for a good single payer plan. I'm sure the Republicans will help Democrats kill the ACA.

Dave Miller said...

Skud... really? 8 years of no growth? Are you purposely ignoring evidence so you can be snarky?

Welcome back BTW...

skudrunner said...

Shaw, they tried running a baked potato and it didn't go as planned.
How do you figure healthcare is the winning issue when only 30 million don't have it and all but 10 million of them are covered by something. The problem with ACA is only 9 million signed up so that shows a lack of interest. ACA made healthcare costs increase for everyone and it was one of the anchors -H- faced but not well.

You know you have to have a job to have your taxes reduced. If they didn't go down you are part of the very poor who pay nothing or very rich who can't hide as much. I am middle class and mine went down as did all of my employees so your example is flawed.

Obama blamed Bush when he took over the disaster of a housing crash, cause in part by the the three stooges, Maxine, Christopher and Barney who used the system for their own gain, backed a corrupt Fannie and Freddie chair and then blamed everyone else when the cards started to fall.

When I heard about Pence saying how disappointed he was with Obama breaking with tradition I almost spit out my coffee! My only comment was “boy that’s rich”. I mean seriously— how can ANYONE from this administration say something like that with a straight face?

possumlady, irony died an ugly death on November 6, 2016.
