General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Bill Moyers. I whole-heartedly agree!

“ I don’t dispute the genuine horror, outrage and sadness genuinely patriotic people feel at seeing the desecration of one of the most potent symbols of American democracy. I share those feelings. But another part of me is glad about it. Finally, Trumpism has clarified itself. It’s not about “economic insecurity.” It’s not about globalization. It’s not about being “forgotten,” “disdained by elites,” or “fear of the future.” It’s just about hatred: hatred of anyone and anything who is not a white, Christian, right-wing, American-born American.

Any other attempt to defend or explain Trump’s appeal is a lie and a dangerous one at that because it’s a lie that perpetuates all the other lies that have allowed him and his minions to conduct a rampage against America and all that it stands for; the same rampage that finally found its physical manifestation in the insurrectional riot we saw on Wednesday.”

Without lies, the Trumpublicans would have nothing to say, at all. Sounds like a plan to me!

From the Baptist ordained Reverend Bill Moyers...

I have always enjoyed and respected Moyers.

I'm not sure if he is one of my tribe, or if I'm part of his. In either event, his life alone bears witness that Christianity is not totally defined by the group that supports the Trump Admin.

"Finally, Trumpism has clarified itself."
But it's clarified to the people that already knew what it was. The tRUMPers still don't have a clue.

The tRumpers have insulated themselves from getting a clue by embracing willful ignorance.

A mixture of religous zealots, white supremacists, and neo fascists make up the base of tRump/Trumpism supporters. These dangerous people will always stand behind their Orange Turd. The supporters who supported tRump just for his economic policies are peeling away. If the nation is lucky enough people will peel away and soon after tRump is gone the republican party will die as well.

Igorance Is Death. If the republican party does not emphatically denouce Trumpism and rapidly move aways from its influence the party deserves to become extinct.

Flying Junior,

I inadvertently deleted your comment. I apologize. I had only one Scotch!
