ANOTHER MASS SHOOTING

Graduating senior and his father were killed in shooting after high school graduation in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Thirteen people are injured and two people are in custody following a reported shooter situation at Altria Theater that took place during Huguenot High School’s graduation ceremony on Tuesday.

The following injuries have been confirmed as a result of the shooting:

  • 7 people shot. 3 with life-threatening injuries, 4 with non-life threatening injuries
  • 2 people were injured by falls
  • 1 person hit by a car
  • 3 self-transported to the hospital for anxiety

8News sources have reported that two people are dead, but police have not confirmed this information yet.

Currently multiple law enforcements are on scene of a mass shooting that took place during a high school graduation ceremony in Monroe Park on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia. Police are reporting that at least 7 people have been shot with severe injuries and one suspect has been arrested

This is NEVER going to end. We are a weak and cowardly nation that allows this because of a misreading of the 2nd Amendment: Justice Scalia noted: “Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. [It is] not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.”

We value guns over our children and our fellow citizens.

No other country has this problem.

IT'S. THE. GUNS.

"MASS SHOOTING at high school graduation celebration, outside Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia.

As a parent, I don't want to my kids growing up with fears that THIS could happen to them on their big day.

Witness: "We heard perhaps 20 consecutive... what initially sounded like fireworks...

It prompted a mad rush, a stampede to get back inside."

Off Topic, but important:
Although I vote Democratic right down the line in this case , I sincerely believe it would be a big mistake for Joe Biden to seek a 2nd term as the President. No one in their 80's (and that’s from either political party) should be occupy the oval office at his age. The stresses and responsibilities of the job are just too much for an elderly person to take on.
Despite resistance from the right wing, President Biden has done a reasonably good job. Pushing through his infrastructure legislation, presiding over record low unemployment, and reduced child poverty through his American rescue plan are decent accomplishments for a 1st term President. I'm especially impressed with Joe Biden's habit of appointing experienced professionals to high ranking cabinet positions, as opposed to Former President Trump’s preference for TV personalities and ex models. Aside from these accomplishments, Joe Biden is simply too old. There are a number of well qualified people from both political parties around the age of 60 who would be better choices.
So, please withdraw Joe. Go and write your memoirs - I won't think any less of you.

Interesting AvPP. There are cultures that respect and honor their elders for the wisdom they aquired over their life. An active, vigorous, intelligent, and competent 80 year old should be no concern or problem in the Oval Office.

It is wise to question the ability and competency of older elected officials because dementia is a possibility. As RWR's waning years as president reminds us. So the concern is justified. Perhaps it would be advisable for presidents older than 70 be tested annually for mental clarity and agility.

At the end of the day it's not age that need be considered. It's intelligence, competence, honesty, integrity, and character that matters most. Biden has proved he posseses all the neccessary components. Test both Biden and Trump and then let the people decide.
