ANOTHER INSTANCE OF TRUMP NOT KNOWING WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT

And this time it was with our good neighbor to the North.

How utterly embarrassing for our country to have a functioning nitwit who thinks he's an expert at everything.

Don't his people give him facts before he meets with world leaders so he can speak intelligently and knowledgeably?

Does Trump think everyone takes him at his word?

The Prime Minister of a sovereign country came to the United States today and actually had to tell the President of the United States - to his face - that his sovereign country wasn’t for sale. And would never be for sale.

His deluded cultists believe he's some sort of genius for breaking our norms in politics and policy and having it his way; when in truth, he's nothing more than a short-fingered vulgarian who acted like a coarse, gross, orange-hued side-show barker in contrast with the smart, elegant, and dignified Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney.

Trump to Carney: "You see the new and improved Oval Office. As it becomes more and more beautiful with love and 24 karat gold. That always helps too."

I do like the new Oval Office look, with all the gold and ostentatious displays of gauche materialism. I so much prefer it to the woke luxury surplus-values based PMC elite displays where one has to recant stupid tropes like, "Black Lives Matter" and "Net Zero by 2030" every ten minutes in order to displace pc subservience and save their places on the neoliberal corporate globalist gravy train.

You have told us anything we already know, and we probably know you better than you know yourself. I expected this from you, and you didn't disappoint.

Glittery, cheap, shiny objects do appeal to many people.

No one wants the US to own Canada except some Canadians. Lousy healthcare unless you are healthy. High taxes, low population density and they need to adopt a tax the rich attitude.

I can't wait to see the stripper poles. Maybe a ring to host the circus known as washington dc.

"Canada is widely considered a great country, particularly for its high quality of life, social programs, and overall well-being of its citizens. Numerous international rankings and reports consistently place Canada among the top countries globally."

Here's why Canada is often praised:

High Quality of Life:
Canada consistently ranks high in international assessments of quality of life, thanks to its strong social safety net, affordable education, and high-quality healthcare.
Social Programs:
Canada's social programs, including universal healthcare, free education, and robust employment benefits, are admired and copied by other countries.

Multiculturalism and Tolerance:
Canada is known for its multiculturalism, which fosters tolerance and acceptance of diverse cultures and beliefs.

Political Stability and Peace:
Canada's political system is generally seen as stable and democratic, with a strong commitment to peaceful coexistence.

Natural Beauty:
Canada boasts a vast and diverse landscape, from the Rocky Mountains to the boreal forests, offering numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation and tourism.

Strong Economy:
Canada has a strong and diversified economy, with a significant focus on natural resources and technology.

While some argue that Canada has its drawbacks, such as high cost of living in certain areas and the vastness of the country, many still consider it an ideal place to live and raise a family.

Your trashing Canada is typical of Americans who know nothing about it.

I've spent time in that country (my first grandchild was born in Toronto), my late sister's husband grew up in Nova Scotia, and I've spent holidays there many times. Plus, if I weren't a Broonz fan, I'd be cheering for the Habs!

Also, the people of Canada are smarter than Americans. The Canadians would NEVER vote for a convicted felon, sexual assaulter, liar, cheat, and fraud to lead their country.

Mark Carney's visit to the WH yesterday showed us and the world that Americans are being led by an ignorant fool.

skud sounds like the fox who couldn't reach the grapes muttering as they walk away, I bet they were bitter.

Both India and Pakistan are nuclear nations and they just got into a pissing match. I know, I know, terrorists but honestly? The more I hear the word terrorist the more I think of someone defending their homeland against an oppressor.

Horrible acts are horrible acts no matter who commits them which leads me to the FOTUS admin cutting a program for Veterans which helped them to make their mortgage payments to ensure they stayed in their home. Now?

Well, per the FOTUS admin we all have to suffer some pain for our dear leader. What's a few more homeless Vets, amirite? (snark in case anyone missed it)

Back in the day I thought about immigrating to Canada but something stopped me. Oh, yeah, I'm really super attached to the rocks here at home. Yes, I'm a rock hound. Not the flashy crystal type but the one who can 'hear' the energies held within, the stories of the earth they tell. I guess I'm not finished listening to where I am here/now.

skud is one who is pining for the way things used to be. That 50's illusion of the America. You know, the Father Knows Best and Beaver the Cleaver era.

Really, If the important half would consider it we'd probably be living in Canada right now.

Actually my comments come from two couples who are Canadian citizens and come to the states six months a year.
You are correct Canada is beautiful from coast to coast and the people are very nice with the exception of Montreal where the French influence comes in.
They do provide managed healthcare and if you are healthy it is a good system. They manage healthcare and if you have the money the US border provides healthcare on demand.
Our healthcare system is broken and will be for decades unless drastic action is taken. Make the whole country operate as an HMO and the quality would diminish but the availability would increase. Every US citizen should have basic healthcare provided and not rely on emergency rooms to provide healthcare for the poor.
I don't know much about the Canadian media but assume they would not lie about their leaders mental ability so both sides in our country cannot be trusted. What are we to do?

KInd of interesting - both leaders had never held elective office, both were business and money types. One is sophisticated, one is immature. The only thing not in the 'redecorated' office is Ronald McDonald. Meanwhile we progress, stand still or regress. Chaos is the new normal.

Skud doesn't trust the Canadian press, but it can be interesting. Consider
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/palin-ridiculed-for-canadian-health-care-use-1.944215 Former Governor and VP candidate Grizzly Mama seemed to
need Canadian healthcare. Still active, she lost two runs for congress in Alaska and got a divorce from Grizzly Papa. Can't make that stuff up.

Les Carpenter said...

Funny that skud. I worked with a manager who had family in Canada and they poved the health-care system. And no they did not all have perfect health.

See, the profit driven private insurers and the wealthy oligarchs have inculcated folks in Ametica with the false belief that universal single payer Healthcare is bad. It isn't and the only ones benefitting from that storyline are the private insurers and others making money off the health-care fir profit system the USA has.

Someday maybe the less intelligent Americans will become enlightened enough to move into the class of the Canadians.

skudrunner said...

Opinions will vary on the Canadian healthcare system depending on who you talk to. UK has one of the best because you have basic healthcare and if you want more doctors can take private patients, something Canadian doctors can't do. I do realize that goes against the socialist way because everyone should get everything and just bill the rich.

Less, You become more enlightened every day, keep up the good work and soon you will reach Nirvana.

Democratic socialism is really the only government system that truly recognizes the value of the people. Thus democratic socialist systems typicanlly take better care of the populace than most.

Sorry skuds that that truth probably escapes your ability to understand.it.

So, keep supporting tRump the autocrat and good luck with the outcome.

Have your ever spent any time in Montreal? I have. The French influence is what makes Montreal the cosmopolitan city that it is. And it is fabulous.

You listen to your Canadian friends? Okay. But that's 2 people. Not a good sampling. In fact, it's meaningless.

skud: "...the socialist way because everyone should get everything and just bill the rich."

That an dishonest definition of democratic socialism, which BTW, you participate in to a degree. The happiest countries are democratic socialist countries: Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherland, etc.

The only advanced country on the planet where people go bankrupt if they have a catastrophic illness or accident is America the Beautiful. Not so beautiful if it happens to you or a loved one.

If you're on Social Security or Medicare, you're participating in a form of socialism.
