A phenomena in and of itself is neither good or bad, moral or immoral, ethical or unethical etc. It is the perceptions and judgement, ie: the reaction to the phenomena by human society that determines whether it is moral or immoral, ethical or unethical, good or bad etc.
It is societal norms that determines and societal norms, like life itself, are not concrete, are forever changing, and ultimately are impermanent.
The tension between the old and the the new has always existed and likely always will. Not a bad, nor a good thing, ... in and of itself. But from the tension wisdom can arise.
In short, live life without intentionally harming any sentient beings, recognize emptiness and impermanence in all phenomena, and extend love unconditionally to all and our problems would vanish. But in order to do that the ego must die and humans must stop their dualistic mindset.
And we know Trump is incapable of shedding the ego. For he is self centered in the extreme. A malignant narcissist incapable of living a life in which he is not the center and primary figure..
I have to admit, I'm disconsolate. I'm okay with politicians I don't agree with winning. That's to be expected in a pluralistic society. But I do fear a real majority, despite some polls, agrees with Trump, his approach and his policies, the Constitution be damned.

No one is citing amendments, sections, articles, literally nothing to justify or defend his policies and political desires.

Personally... while a diverse multicultural society perhaps presents a broader set of issues it is the preferable environment. Diversity is strength, not weakness. Diversity is what makes America great and strong.
The efforts of the Trump administration with respect DEI tells the story. What the Trump administration and MAGA really want is to Make America White Again. Simply put, Trump and his administration are legitimizing the othering of POC and all of those with a lifestyle they disapprove of. In doing so we become less free and certainly less great. But we do become a more restrictive, anal, and up tight society suffering from more psychological hangups. Demons will begin to appear around every corner. Just as they obviously do in the Felon's own whittle and restrictive mind.
I've lived in diverse neighborhoods in my state during my life. I started out in the city of Boston, lived in suburbs of that city, lived in a coastal community on Cape Cod, lived in Florida, spent a couple of years in California, and am back living in the city of Boston.
City living, at least on the coast in the northeast and in one of the oldest cities in America, has given me the opportunity to live with races and cultures that are different from mine. I believe living with and knowing about diversity in cultures, religions, races opens one's heart to understanding that we humans are more alike than we are different.
I've lived next to and/or had friendships with Egyptians, Israelis, Italians, Swiss, French, Germans, Mexicans, Moroccans, Nigerians, Iranians, Albanians, Chinese, Japanese, Southerners, gays, straights, transgender, and I've taught English as a second language to a host of other foreigners as well. My late nephew was Mexican-Italian, my niece was married to a Cuban exile, a nephew is married to a Japanese-American, each of my children/step-children had serious relationships with African-American boyfriends/girlfriends. When I think back on all this, I am grateful for the rich cultural experiences I've had with all of these people, and the understanding of the humanity we all share.
It is my belief that people who know only to those who are like themselves will be suspicious and even fearful of those they know nothing about.
Because of my experiences, I will always choose diversity. As Les points out below, it is what makes America great and strong.
