Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!
**************************
Governor Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass were duly elected by the citizens of California.
Noem has no right under the Constitution to "liberate" them from the people who elected them.
Supremacy Clause:
The Supremacy Clause of the Constitution states that federal law is supreme over state law when they conflict, but it doesn't grant the federal government the power to nullify state elected officials.
The federal government does not have the right to nullify state-elected governors and mayors. The Constitution establishes a system of federalism, where power is divided between the federal government and state governments. While the federal government can override state laws if they conflict with a constitutional federal law, it cannot directly remove or nullify state-elected officials.
Noem is a woman in over her head in a job she knows nothing about. She couldn't even tell a Congresswoman what Habeas corpus means. But give her credit for the really important stuff she does know: Showing up in fabulous costumes at prisons for photo-ops and knowing how to wear hair extensions, fake eyelashes, and Botox.
This is how fascist regimes, backed by a military, behave.
The people of California clearly don't want her "liberation" from THE GOVERNOR AND MAYOR THEY ELECTED.
When a United States Senator spoke up and asked her a question about her "liberation" plans, she sent her thugs after him, attacked him, threw him to the floor, and cuffed him. For asking a question.
If your hair isn't on fire by now at what this fascist regime is doing, then you deserve what happens to you.

Just watched some clips on the "LA riots". What is portrayed by the traditional news agencies is not what is happening on the ground.
After a protest, which is guaranteed by the First Amendment, the authorities close down all routes out of the city and practice corralling them into tighter spaces using flash/bangs, tear gas, and rubber bullets - shooting AT people not at the ground as advertised.
It is too bad for the FOTUS admin that they chose to do this Hunger Games cosplay here/now because there are cameras everywhere. There are content creators everywhere.
Also - I'm going to bet had Sen Alex Padilla looked like Nancy Pelosi his arrest would have looked much different.
Remember kids, it's not Make America Great Again, it was always about Making America White Again*.
*makes no sense as our country has never been 'White' but the delusions of racists never had to make sense, did they?
White Supremacists and Christian Nationalists are now (once again) shaping (racist) federal policies. Life under the boots of an A-hole authoritarian tRump regime ain't gonna be anything like the America the free world once respected.
No No Noem knows how to infuriate people -

A trait which is required to be a part of the regime.
The Padilla/Noem affair might be an example of a few things being true at the same time.
Padilla, who has an office in the same building, had a right to be there. But he also may not have identified himself before the removal took place.
And, he may have been acting belligerently.
And, the FBI overreacted in the way they removed him.
And, Noem lied on FOX News when she said Padilla did not identify himself.
And, this could've all been over and done with had the admin, or Noem just said "Look, we did not realize it was Senator Padilla, we apologize for the mix up and want to sit down with the Senator Friday to try and resolve his concerns."
And finally, it's all theatre. From both sides looking for viral social media moments.
As it relates to immigration, can someone, anyone explain to me the policy of the USA after Trump's press conference yesterday. That's the one where he said we have to get relief for farmers who are losing illegal workers, people he said, who have lived and worked peacefully here for 20 years.
He said we can't do that [deport farm workers here illegally] to farmers. As if he is being critical of someone else's policy. That policy, of deporting them all, is Trump's policy.
And then to make it worse, he said we need to exempt leisure hotel workers also from deportation.
What is the policy here? -FJ? Skud? Joe?
Can you guys, without video links, explain it to me like the 6th grader I am?
Here are Trump's own policy bending words...
“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump lamented. “We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”
If only someone could have predicted this would happen.
I consider tRump an emotional cauldron of inconsistency combined with ignorance.
As it relates to immigration and the raids by the Trump Admin...
Here's what is now being reported that in the NY Times,
"The Trump administration has abruptly shifted the focus of its mass deportation campaign, telling Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to largely pause raids and arrests in the agricultural industry, hotels and restaurants, according to an internal email and three U.S. officials with knowledge of the guidance.
The decision suggested that the scale of President Trump’s mass deportation campaign — an issue that is at the heart of his presidency — is hurting industries and constituencies that he does not want to lose.
Questions...
-Why do some businesses get an exemption and not others?
-Are farming, travel and leisure more important than the construction industry?
-Why, if we need to rid America of all those here illegally, are we tolerating ANY people here without papers?
-Could any of this have been foreseen before the policy was enacted?
-What has changed to cause this adjustment in policy?
-Are these changes because of the political ramifications in constituencies the GOP must win in 2026 and 2028 to maintain political power in America?
-Is it possible America needs more immigrant labor to keep our economy growing?
Asking for a lot of friends...
The inconsistencies of a clueless narcissitic moron.
