Two days ago...

one of the participants in Trump's self-aggrandizing MMA birthday party on the grounds of the White House uttered a racial slur against former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

The sitting POTUS who gave himself that party to celebrate turning 80 never distanced himself from what his guest uttered, never condemned that slander, never rebuked the racist who said it.

When people complain that "not everything is racist," they are refusing to see the reality in front of their noses.

Trump is a racist, and those who support him, accept and cater to that racism are, IMO, just as indecent as he is.

According to Yahoo! News, this is what the camera caught just after Hokit vomited his smear against former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

See that smirk? This is how the Convicted Felon-in-Chief will be remembered:

When America needed a leader with moral strength, dignity, and decency, we Americans ended up with a failed human being, Donald J. Trump.

A failed human being with no moral compass. Supported by a party and cult lacking in ethical and moral standards.

The malignant narcissist racist is a reality because for the past 20 years both the democratic and republican parties failed to actually hear the people and systematically adjust a broken system that in reality serves only the capitalist class of multi multi millionaires and billionaires.

And so we have created a division in the country that opened the doors for a populous fascist leader who has exploited the division to enrich himself and his families unethical businesses. At the same time widening the gulf between the haves and the have not. Benefiting his elite multi multi millionaire and billionaire buddies.

As the sun begins to set on the American Experiment in self rule the nation has only itself to blame.

I am reminded today that gravity works.

Been swimming in the socials about that comment made about Michelle Obama and the folks I follow did not disappoint.

Yes to acknowledging the racism in the room - everyone had their own perspective as to how it hit with them but to a person they all got the memo - no hysteria as what was said was "a ten year old 'joke' a child keeps telling because they got a reaction that one time". The energy I read was more lame than shame, mostly because MAGA doesn't do shame. How can they? They're racist and all the other 'ists and 'isms used by intelligent beings to label behaviors that were accepted back in the day but have passed their use by date decades ago.

I looked at the events here/now and now with Shaw's post this morning... well, my first thought was skud has some thinking to do.

I hope they can break through the ingrained racism taught to each of us by our society. I hope they have the necessary help to maintain themselves as watching one's understanding of life crash into pieces on the floor is never an easy event and it gets worse the longer the lie is believed.

Added note: The algae infused reflecting pool made quite the impression on MAGA tourists. Over budget, less than optimal outcome... who knew reflecting pools were so difficult (echoing the who knew health care, diplomacy, and other tasks originally called easy only to discover they were harder to achieve in reality)!

Les, I blame Citizens United and Reagan's Trickle Down theory as to why our country split in two. Up to then it was 50/50 as to which way the US was headed but those two events sealed the deal in my opinion.

What gives me hope, as always, are the young ones. I've been calling them kids but I was reminded how much I DESPISED being called a kid when I was clearly an adult (of twenty two, but who's counting?).

What are they saying? Well, they are challenging everyone. If you are an established Democrat you are not safe, contrary to previous years where it was believed once in you stayed in. Nope, say the young ones, we need junk yard Dems at the helm, ready to do the Nation's Business. Ideas and plans to achieve them are their currency. They watched as Zohran Mamdani campaigned and won on the ideas they themselves hold dear.

Josh Johnson had a bit about Zohran getting into office and almost immediately started to get things done. No spoilers as his punchline still has me laughing and I watched his show on the youtubes almost a week ago.

The young ones give me hope as they see our current racist system is in need of an upgrade, an overhaul, or best yet, makeover!!!!

Les Carpenter said...

I actually agree with you Grey One. The young adults are the only hope America has of saving itself.

However, I'm not sure but what by the time they have the numbers to turn things around this nation won't have already alrrived at full authoritarianism. With all its support structures and institutions fully in place.

Only time will tell.

Grey... in Skud's defense, he has been very open with his disgust for Trump as of late. I've even noticed he has lowered his penchant to also slam Obama or Biden at the same time. Of course, sometimes it does get lumped in the "all politicians are scum" critique, but I'll take it.

Trump is what he is. He, to the joy of his supporters, does not like all this "political correctness". He seems to believe it's a free country where you can say what you want, and then people can judge for themselves what they want to do.

But speech for him, and indeed for many, should have no limits.

Whether someone believes that is good, I'll leave to them. But yesterday on CNN, a MAGA supporting commentator said he did not like the comment and thought it was horrible. When asked why Trump would not condemn it, he said he believed the WH had made a no condemnation and no apology policy on all statements.

When asked if that should include even racist statements, he had no answer.

But what should we expect from the people who send emails and enjoy laughs together of cartoons of black ppl with big lips eating watermelons, and other caricatures mocking people of all cultures?

Les mentioned... "As the sun begins to set on the American Experiment in self rule..."

I think we've been here before. I reckon if we listened to ppl o the eve of the Civil War and the run up to WWII, we'd see a lot of similar rhetoric. In fact, in the 1950s, we had a very vocal group citing our "drift from God", and how it was negatively impacting us. That 1950s attitude is what added "In God We Trust" to our money and also inserted God into our pledge of Allegiance.

All to say, we recovered from those eras when many felt all was lost. We may not this time, but, there's still hope. Because we've done it before.

Les Carpenter said...

My point, Dave, is really that the American Empire peaked around 1978. Every since RWR the empire has essentially been in decline. trump, and his MAGA rhetoric (and delusions) is just another symptom of America's decline.

I'm not saying we'll collapse into ruin. But we will experience the issues AND problems of every past declining empires.

I only hope what emerges is a more equitable and significantly fairer society. I hope this for my grandchildren and great grandchildren that I'll never meet.

Only time will tell.

How many times has the Mooch falsely accused Trump of being racist? Does that sound like an appropriate comment from a former 1st lady about her replacement? Is that any less-awful than him calling her a dude? I'd call it tit-4-tat.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Sounds like you're a bit sad about losing "empire" Les. Jimmah Cahtah glory days...

Shaw Kenawe said...

Michelle Obama gave her opinion about Trump when she was a private citizen, which is her right, not in her capacity as First Lady representing this country.

Trump, in his capacity as POTUS is supposed to represent the best this country has to offer for leadership, did not condemn the calumny against the former First Lady, Michelle Obama, because he's a racist.

Mrs. Obama spoke the truth. And we witnessed that truth on Sunday by Trump's deliberate refusal to condemn the slur against her by the racist MMA fighter who had earlier vomited on the Lincoln Memorial.

Michelle Obama is not a man, you know it, and so does the world. The slander against her is an old racist trope, the purpose of which is to denigrate Black women, and it dates back to the Jim Crow era.

The fact that Trump didn't condemn it and the fact that just recently he reposted images of Mr. and Mrs. Obama as apes, and the fact that he spread lies about Mr. Obama's birth certificate IS ample evidence of Trump's racism.

Michelle told the truth; the MMA knucklehead is a liar.
And Trump is a disgrace to this country.

I asked AI if racism and stupidity go together. Here's what AI answered:

Yes, research indicates that lower cognitive ability and a lack of cognitive flexibility strongly correlate with higher levels of racism and prejudice.

The Cognitive Link: Psychological studies, such as those published in the journal Psychological Science, show that individuals with lower general cognitive ability are more likely to endorse rigid, right-wing ideologies that resist social change and emphasize hierarchy. These simplifying ideologies often act as a coping mechanism to make a complex world easier to understand.

We know Trump is NOT a learned man.

Dave Miller said...

Actually none -FJ. He is racist. Or at the very least, participates in racist activities.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Trump didn't even call the Mooch a dude. He was also under no compulsion to defend Big Mike's "honour". Maybe Barack should have Will Smith'd him.

btw - Speaking of Cognitive links, what's the current average IQ gap between whites and black. Just curious if you know (or care)

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

I asked Google AI and this is what it said:

The gap is widely documented, with a historic average difference of approximately 10 to 15 points on standardized tests

Yep still 1 SD.

Trump, as the POTUS, absolutely was. But Trump is an indecent cur, he never does the humanly decent thing. It wasn't a matter of defending Mrs. Obama's "honour," it was a matter of defending America's honor and shutting down the racist MMA fighter's bigotry on view for all the world to see on the lawn of the People's House. There's no way a malignant narcissist like Trump would ever have understood that duty. He's too boorish and vulgar.

You get a warm feeling somewhere when you denigrate a Black woman, a minority, by calling her a dude? Mooch? Big Mike? Does it make you feel powerful? Because I got news for you, it makes you look like a certain type that would pull the wings off flies, just for sport, or drown kittens and kick puppy dogs.

Michelle Obama actually doesn't need me nor anyone to defend her.

She's having a fabulous life living in her several homes, drinking champagne, traveling, enjoying royalties from her books, videos, movies, and collecting fees from her speaking tours. She was a poor girl who grew up on the South Side of Chicago and because of her brilliance, reached the pinnacle of fame and fortune through hard work, persistence, her intelligence and personality -- not her daddy's millions, like Trump.

Michelle Obama is admired by a majority of Americans. National surveys and public opinion polls, including historical favorability and "Most Admired" metrics, consistently show her with positive ratings well above the 50% threshold, making her one of the most popular public figures in the United States.

Mrs. Obama is MORE POPULAR AND BELOVED BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAN IS TRUMP! This is a fact.

And you post on obscure blogs. Who's the real winner here? Bigots or Mrs. Obama?

LOL!

Shaw Kenawe said...

My blog will NOT be a forum for -FJ or any of his personas to discuss any group's IQ points. This is all that I will post on that subject. Period:

AI OVERVIEW:

"Black Americans are not inherently less intelligent than White Americans.

There is no genetic or biological basis for differences in intelligence between racial groups. Extensive scientific research demonstrates that the concept of race is a social construct rather than a valid biological measure of cognitive ability.

Differences that are sometimes observed in standardized test scores or academic performance are driven by non-genetic, environmental factors. Experts emphasize that these disparities are closely linked to:

Socioeconomic Status: Wealth gaps, systemic inequalities, and neighborhood resources directly impact educational opportunities, early childhood development, and overall test outcomes.

Access to Quality Education: Discrepancies in school funding, teacher quality, and advanced placement programs create uneven learning environments.

Major scientific organizations—including the American Psychological Association—have long studied this issue and conclude that there is no evidence to support the idea that any racial group is intellectually inferior.

Individual intelligence varies much more within racial groups than it does between them."

-FJ... Silence is 100% acceptance in this instance. Trump is the POTUS, the leader of the country. The position parents, I dare say your parents, taught us to look up and respect. So when a person around the prez does something like this, society is well served if the prez stands up, says it's BS and tell the person to sit down.

A la John McCain. An honorable man trump slurred, mocked and dismissed.

Shaw Kenawe said...

BTW, just to make a point, I'm pretty sure that no serious academic or person who values knowledge, scholarship, and the life of the mind admires Trump.

Les... Robert Putnam has done a lot of research into the "when" of the slide. He's marked it in the mid to late 1960s and then picking up steam from there.

It's a fascinating read, the book is The Upswing. A great read.

Federal and Census data regularly rank Baltimore City as one of the highest-funded large school districts in the United States.

According to data compiled by the Maryland State Department of Education, the district's average SAT score dropped to a record low of 856. This places the city significantly below the state average, which also experienced a post-pandemic decline to 1,001.

Gee, 856 vs 1001. One standard deviation gap again... So much for the "uneven learning environments" excuse.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

btw - 2 out of 3 of my kids graduated from Baltimore City Public Schools. One then went on to graduate from Syracuse University, the other from NYU and Georgetown Law. You can't argue that their "learning environment" was substandard.

Leaders leadby example.

And, actions speak louder than words.

Those metrics of actions apply to trump as well as all others.

trump defines himself by his actions, not his words.

Perhaps that is why his approval rating is at 34% and declining.

For all but the eyes closed and ears plugged MAGA cultists like -FJ, Joe Con, The Mothet Ship, and the rest.

Congratulations to your children for their outstanding academic accomplishments.

But that doesn't change what was posted above, which is: "Individual intelligence varies much more within racial groups than it does between them."

For example: Both Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson grew up in what are considered challenging situations: Mr. Obama came from a broken home and had a father who abandoned him as a child.

Michelle Obama grew up in a working-class family in Chicago's South Side. They lived in a small apartment where the living room was divided to create a bedroom and privacy for her and her brother, but she has stated that she did not realize her family was "poor" because her home was filled with love and music.

Mr. and Mrs. Obama were blessed with high intelligence and both excelled academically (as did Mrs. Obama's brother, Craig Robinson.)

To compare and contrast: Donald Trump came from wealth and privilege, and we can see in real time that his intellectual abilities leave much to be desired:

"Historians, psychologists, and political scientists generally agree that Donald Trump does not rank among America's most intellectually complex presidents, though experts distinguish between his lack of traditional academic depth and his high degree of political skill." (Trump knows how to manipulate his MAGA followers, and that takes a sort of skill. Carnival barkers and snake oil salesmen are very good at that as well.)

"Decades of empirical research on presidential intelligence and recent expert evaluations outline a nuanced view of his cognitive style.

Scholarly Rankings: In comprehensive surveys ranking U.S. presidents, such as the Presidential Greatness Project, Expert Survey, scholars consistently place Trump near or at the bottom."

Psychological Assessment: Presidential psychologist Dean Simonton has noted that Trump’s communications (such as brief social media posts) do not demonstrate a "complexity of thinking". However, historians like Barbara Perry instead label him as exceptionally "cunning".

What -FJ is trying to do is make a valid point about racial intelligence by using anecdotal evidence. Anecdotal evidence is considered weak because it relies on subjective, non-systematic personal stories rather than objective data. It lacks the controls needed to establish cause-and-effect and is highly susceptible to cognitive biases.

It is clear to me that he doesn't like or respect the Obamas, especially Mrs. Obama, and that may be because of his biases.

Any racial or ethnic group will always have its highly intelligent and accomplished individuals as well as those who are the opposite. There are too many factors that contribute to different success stories and failures, so to pretend otherwise is useless.
