Fool Them Once and the Wingnuts Will Let You Fool Them Again and Again and Again.

Making the rounds in the far right news sites and blogs is a fake news story.

The story was published by a satirical news site called "Christian Times," and it reports that Hillary Clinton blamed racism for the tragic incident in the Cincinnati Zoo with a little boy and a silver back gorilla.

It is a completely made up satire, but the goofballs spreading it all over the internet are too dense and too crazed with hate for Hillary to have bothered to research the veracity of the story before they repeated it and made titanic fools of themselves.

Who's surprised?

These same fools who swallowed that fake story are the same fools who swallow Donald Trump' lies and rants.

The article circulated on Facebook, where Clinton's critics took its claim at face value.

From a fact-checking site:

However, the Christian Times Newspaper (not to be confused with the legitimate publication The Christian Times) is a fake news site whose articles are appended with the following disclaimer:

Christian Times Newspaper is your premier online source for news, commentary, opinion, and theories. Christian Times Newspaper does not take responsibility for any of our readers' actions that may result from reading our stories. We make it abundantly aware the [sic] not all stories are necessarily grounded in fact.

We do our best to provide accurate, updated news and information.

Accordingly, it is simple to conclude that the comments attributed to Clinton about the gorilla's death are not "necessarily grounded in fact."

Other article headlines on the site are clearly designed to incite social media outrage-driven sharing, such as:

"BREAKING: Colorado GOP primary CANCELLED, Cruz awarded ALL delegates" and

"BREAKING: Black Trump supporter shot and killed by Chicago protesters."

Christian Times Newspaper is similar to the fake news site The End Times as a "satirical" effort aimed at politically conservative social media users.

I might also add that the majority who pass these stories around are gullible and not what one would describe as "critical thinkers." They read something on social media and take it a truth.

No wonder Trump has gone as far as he has. His followers never bother to check the truth of his statements, and they take as fact all the b.s. he feeds them.

By spreading this story around, Trump supporters again have shown that they are easily fooled by other fools.

You found this from a commenter who frequents a site where the writer/owner/poster claims she uses a mix of true and false facts and you're surprised fiction would be posted as fact?

Sounds like the perfect news source for that crowd.

Attorneys general in Florida and Texas who declined to pursue lawsuits against the now-defunct Trump University received political contributions from Donald Trump, according to an Associated Press report.

But Trump calls Hillary "crooked?" I hope the press keeps digging and uncovering more of this sort of corruption.

The gorilla story broke at the Smut Hut this morning.
I assume you got the straight story on the source from Snopes which just today the mother ship warned everyone to ignore because it's run by leftists.

They'll believe just about anything or disbelieve in the case of Drumpf University.

I think that's a wonderful piece of advice for those folks to stick to. They should stay in their comfy bubble and not let reality bleed through. None of them have the capacity to face facts.

Isn't that the same blog where intellectual giants like "kid" let everyone know his deep insights into "libtards" and "moslem vermin?"

You have to have a basic level of intelligence to recognize satire. I am afraid that it went over the heads of most far right wing news sites and blogs.

Re: the violence at Trump rallies. That has KKKarlRove's fingerprints all over it. He's a master of this sort of thing. This is exactly what Trump and Rove would concoct to discredit the anti-Trumpers.

LOL! Shaw, I've read those low-info comments and they are at the intellectual level of a 3rd grader. That's what level Trump blathers at, therefore he appeals to their 3rd grade brain functions.
