"Christian" Republican US Senator from Georgia Prays for President Obama's Death

If an imam in a U.S. mosque had invoked this prayer against a Republican U.S. president, the right wing Christians would be calling for our government to DO SOMETHING! because MOSLEM! TERRORIST!

A United States Senator prayed with his fellow Christians for President Obama's death. These are the same people who call Islam the religion of violence.

See my blog post of last week for the Christian right's call for death to the LGBT community. Now we have the Christian right hoping for the death of the president of the United States. Also, good old American rabid radical right wing bloggers assert that Mr. Obama is a Muslim and gay and call for the assassination of President Obama,.

Hoping for the death of our American president is "patriotic" with these "Christians" as long as they're doing the praying and not what the rabid radical right wingers call the "moslem vermin" doing the praying.

I guess it all depends on whose vermin is involved in wishing death and misery on our American president and his family.

Republican US Senator from Georgia prays for the death of our American president.

At a gathering of Christian conservatives in June 2016, Georgia Republican Senator David Perdue publicly encouraged attendees to pray for President Obama’s death.

The hateful and despicable prayer Perdue referred to is Psalms 109:8

"Let his days be few." The complete reading is: Let his days be few, and let another take his office.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Here's the "Christian" right hoping for someone to assassinate President Obama. From your link:

Every time O opens his mouth, he makes himself less and less believable. He is the laughing stock of the world…………and so are we for having elected him! For the free world to have any chance of survival, we need to get rid of him NOW, and being as we “can’t” impeach him, then a hit man, whatever…..one life in exchange for the rest of the world would be a bargain. I know what that sounds like and can hardly believe I’m saying it, but given the thousands who have been killed and millions who have been displaced, his death would be nothing. Also, the stronger ISIS gets, the more nuts will join around the world because it encourages them.

You have to believe this has been considered in some circles in D.C., perhaps even the CIA or our military? But if it did happen,

(to finish the above…sorry!) it would make him a Martyr and they would make him like Martin Luther King and name streets after him!

The sad part is that the demented person who wrote that traitorous threat believes he's a Christian. But he's a person who hopes for the violent murder of an American president voted in office by the people, for the people and of the people two times. The crank who wrote that is no different from the crazy "moslems" who threaten us around the world.

From PM Carpenter:

"Obama’s net job-approval rating has risen nearly 20 points since Trump became the G.O.P. front-runner and the party’s inescapable face last summer."

That, it seems to me, says more about "the American voter" than all the media talk about voters' unrest, about voters' disruption-choosing, about the presumed popularity of big swinging wrecking balls and the winning approach thereof. President Obama is the political embodiment of stability, consistency, an equable temperament and reasoned, progressive-conservative governance. It is no coincidence that as Trump has become more familiar, Obama has become more admired. This dual trajectoried "X" phenomenon signifies no choice between the lesser of two evils; it is, rather, a reaffirmation of the American voter's preference for political moderation.

There's a lot of "butthurt" going on around the rabid radical right wing blogs. They're moaning about how the fix is in for Hillary, and that the DoJ will not indict her. Former U.S. attorney and present Libertarian candidate for vice president, Bill Weld, has said in order for an indictment, there has to be clear evidence of criminal intent, and in his opinion as a U.S. attorney who has seen cases like this in his career, there is none.

But since the Cons believe "the fix is in" for Hillary, no amount of rational reasoning will disturb their quaint little heads-in-a-bubble belief that Hillary is guilty -- of something.

Meanwhile, the TGOP is supporting a candidate who is everything they detest in a politician, but because he running against Hillary, they'll hold their noses and vote for the thin-skinned racist bully because they value party allegiance more than allegiance to America.

Clearly, a Trump presidency would be a catastrophe, but the radical right wingers don't care.

Rabid radical right wing "butthurt:" Obama's approval rating rises as Donald Trump gets closer to the Republican nomination in Cleveland.

The Old Testament, like the Quran is full of such verbiage.

I wonder why true Christians often do not follow their Saviour's teachings.

Puzzling really.

On second thought true Christians do follow Christ's teaching. A proper adjective would be false Christians to describe those like the the subject of this post.

As I see it, as long as the Domionists in the Republican Party can bring about their end times, they'd elect a yam.

Oh wait.....

RN, I put quotations marks around Christian because I don't see them as Christians who follow their Savior's teachings. The fundamentalists in any religion are extremists who have nothing to do with following the teachings of their saviors and everything to do with evil. People who wish death on gays and on a duly elected president because they don't agree with his policies, are, by definition, anti-Christians. Didn't Jesus ask them to love their enemies? These people, like "Mal" from Geeez's blog and Sen. perdue, want to murder people they disagree with.

There is no other word but evil for that.

Yes, Connie, the Dominionists want a country based on the Bible, not the Constitution. They're like the Taliban, except they haven't the power to chop people's heads off. Their thinking and desires, however, are like the Taliban.

Clearwater, Florida,

The commenter you quoted I'm sure believes he's a righteous man. His words prove otherwise.

People who wish death on others because they disagree with their politics, religion, or sexual orientation are evil. Some, like the Orlando shooter, act on those evil wishes.

Here's what the right wingers believe: "The only thing a Dem needs to do is PROMISE THEM EVERYTHING FOR FREEEEEEEEEE!! OH, AND INSULT AMERICA."

Here's the REPUBLICAN guy, Don the Con, they supporting for the presidency:

"Politicians have used you and stolen your votes. They have given you nothing. I will give you everything. I will give you what you've been looking for to 50 years. I'm the only one." --- Donald Trump

Do those people even know who they're supporting and what he promised??????

Don the Con is going to give them everything, but he doesn't say how he'll pay for everything. Does that get through their heads?

As for insulting, No one is better at it than Don the Con. Just ask that disabled journalist, Megan Kelly, or any Mexican.
