The Rabid Radical Right: Paranoia, mendacity, and hatred.

UPDATE BELOW

It's no secret that we here at P.E. keep an eye on the rabid radical right in order to gauge how far down into the sewer of paranoia, mendacity, and hatred they are willing to sink in order to justify their bigotry. We know they're willing to post scurrilous fake news stories that attack the POTUS in order to justify their bottomless hatred of our American president.

One only has to look at the lying bigot they're supporting for the presidency in order to understand their toxic, odious mentality.

Here's an example:

It isn't surprising that Trump is their hero and their candidate. He feeds into their darkest paranoia and ignorant claims that President Obama is not one of us, but "The Other," -- a traitor. (Trump was a champion of the birther idiots -- himself being the biggest birther idiot of all time.)

If you've hesitated to believe that our fellow Americans can be this crazy, this willing to soak themselves in malignant lies and calumny, the above poster will disabuse you of that doubt.

These people aren't merely voicing disagreements with President Obama's policies, they, like all deeply disturbed fanatics, take it to another level and accuse him of being a traitor to the United States of America -- with no evidence whatsoever to back it up, because there is none.

A poster is all they have -- that and their sweaty paranoid fears.

The above poster that they gleefully pass among themselves gets it all wrong of course.  Right now, President Obama's approval numbers are in the 50s -- higher than were George W. Bush's at this point in his presidency, and on a par with President Reagan's at this point in his presidency.

MR. OBAMA IS AS POPULAR NOW AS WAS THEIR HERO, RONALD REAGAN, AT THIS POINT IN HIS PRESIDENCY.

Let that sink in as your read their sad, hateful little blogs and news sites.

The American people, through their approval and support, believe that PRESIDENT OBAMA IS MOST DEFINITELY ON OUR SIDE.

A majority of Americans approve of our American president. They do not share what the above poster represents.

The above poster's slanderous smear represents everything that is evil, false, and traitorous in our beloved country.  To hell with the rabid right wing creeps who pass it around.

Clinton opens up double-digit lead over Trump nationwide: Reuters/Ipsos poll

“Clinton has a number of advantages in this poll, in addition to her lead,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, who oversaw the survey. “Her supporters are more enthusiastic than Trump’s and more voters overall see her becoming a more appealing candidate than say that for Trump.”

[snip]

"...troubling findings for Trump in poll include how 63 percent of women say they could never vote for him. “If you can never get the vote of two in three women, who are a majority of voters, that is something that has to change for Trump to emerge victorious...”

From Politico:

Senate Republicans have tried to work with Donald Trump. They’ve offered gentle advice and firm guidance, hoping he’ll morph into a general election candidate who won’t kill their chances of keeping the Senate, or better yet, will give Hillary Clinton a run for her money.

None of it has worked. And now a palpable mix of despair and resignation has permeated the Senate Republican Conference. Many lawmakers are openly frustrated, and refusing to defend the comments and actions of their own standard-bearer, the man they’ve endorsed for president.

Trump’s insinuation that President Barack Obama may be sympathetic to Islamic State terrorists was the final straw for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

But it's NOT the final straw for the Rabid Radical Right. They, like Trump, believe Mr. Obama is working with the terrorists to destroy America.

Yes. They. Really. Do. (see today's post).

If that isn't a definition of paranoid insanity, what is?

That's the point of this post, Howard. The rabid radical right has zero evidence that President Obama is a traitor to America, but that doesn't stop them from acting like demented paranoids by passing around stupid posters like the one featured in this post. There is no evidence; there never is.

Oh dear. AvpRwhyg keeps coming here to let the world know what a kook he is. If you hate my guts, why do you continue to visit me? That's a sign of madness.

Your comment fits in with today's post. It's the only one that'll get by moderation.

Get lost.

Certainly. I still wonder what they think the president has done. Certainly they think he did ObamaCare. But what else? False flag operations?

It is easier to imagine what they think he failed to do.

A quick look at the rightwing blogs will show you that they're all having mental breakdowns over the fact that Hillary has passed The Trumpanzee in the polls -- bigly. The louder they scream and call us names, the quieter we'll be as we post the happy news that Hillary is leaving Trump in the garbage dump.

God is good.

Shaw, re: the rabid radical righties: It’s not that they're stupid, or uneducated, or even treasonous — merely that they believe so much that’s simply misguided anti-American propaganda. And of course they're nuts.

Les Carpenter said...

Both ignorance and rage cloud the ability to judge rationally. Extremism also clouds judgement. The right you target with this post likely suffers from all three.

It is this group that is dangerous and un-American. Real Americans fall in the 70% that view tRump The Demagogue unfavorably.

Shaw Kenawe said...

ACD, Yes, it's beginning to sink into the more rational TGOPers that they've hitched their hopes for the White House to a real stinky loser.

Anonymous @ll:15, the GOP's hair is on fire today. Charlie Sykes, a conservative radio talk guy from Wisconsin, has trashed Trump and his "fever swamps of conspiracy...he's no longer within acceptable political range..." He's saying the GOP has to stand up and say "This is not who we are; this is not what we stand for."

That quote, "...his fever swamps of conspiracy..." is EXACTLY what you'll find on the rabid radical right blogs featured in today's post. They are the ones responsible for Trump's rise in the Republican Party, and they are responsible for where he's taken the GOP. And they'll be proven WRONG, once again, in their grossly bad judgement. They will be left on the trash heap of history.

RN USA, The good news, as you say, is that 70% reject the thin-skinned racist demagogue. The other 30%, like the rabid radical right bloggers, are, as usual, on the wrong side of history.

Dave Miller said...

We treated GW Bush with disdain because of his policies. Seldom if ever did we ever accuse him of being a traitor, committing treason, or desiring to destroy America. Those are everyday occurrences at Geez and The Daddy blogs. We did say his policies might in fact do that, but we generally never personalized it like the right has done to President Obama.

And we had policies to point to with our disgust, as opposed to "false facts" innuendo and made up paranoia.

It's only gonna get worse as the election nears and their apocalyptic versions of the destruction of their country dance in their fervent malcontented imaginations.

Kevin Robbins said...

I'd worry that Hillary is peaking too soon, but this may not be the peak yet.

Thanks for the news from the fever swamps of the the right. There certainly are some disgusting creatures therein.

----------

I fear you are correct, Dave.

But on the brighter side the reaction to Drumpf and his brownshirts seems to be negative if the polls are to be believed.
This will probably mean that he ratchets up the rhetoric.

Here's a post from one of the mother ship's denizens concerning the Obama press conference:

"A storm is brewing...one similar to 1861. If it's not the muzzies scum who kills us and our dreams...it surely will be the democrat assholes."

There was also disgust at Anderson Cooper crying as he read the names of the victims of the shooting.

Their hatred is so strong that they're blinded.
There is the potential for so much worse.
I don't have the words any longer.

Kevin Robbins said...

Here's the election betting odds from Lott and Stossel. Trump is down 10 points in less than a month. He's going to be underwater by the convention at this rate. I say this all as a Democrat who has seen my party snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on occasion.

Shaw Kenawe said...

From a rabid radical right blog, found by Ducky:

"A storm is brewing...one similar to 1861. If it's not the muzzies scum who kills us and our dreams...it surely will be the democrat assholes."

SK: The poor things have no self-awareness. If they had, they'd see it is their own self-destructive delusions that will ultimate sink them.

Ducky: "There was also disgust at Anderson Cooper crying as he read the names of the victims of the shooting."

SK: I'm sure they'll quote some Biblical verse on Jesus's compassion and love come next Sunday, after, of course, they make fun of a man who showed compassion and love to the dead and wounded. Again, they have no self-awareness of the deep contradictions in their world view.

Ducky: "Their hatred is so strong that they're blinded.
There is the potential for so much worse.
I don't have the words any longer."

SK: Thank goodness they are not the majority of Americans. They are a sad, unhappy and ill-informed minority. We should pity them more than fear them.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Kevin, if Trump keeps up his unhinged harangues, there's a possibility he'll sink even lower.

The election is not about polls which are a moving target. It is not about which candidate is hated more, they both have about the same rating which is a shame. It is going to be all about Turn Out and who can get their supporters to vote. Many of the Bern supporters are young and idealistic who were all behind him but will lose interest and just not vote. Many republicans will sit it out or vote for -H- not because they are for her, they are just against -T-. Then there are the people who will not admit they support -T- as a change to status quo but will punch his ticket in silence.
Just a guess but there will be a significant number of people who will just sit this one out.
Me, I am doing a write in for Jerry Critter.

In addition to what Ducky cited above, the commenter who called for the assassination of the POTUS by a hit man on that vile blog wrote this today:

"...he {President Obama} is and always has been a Muslim, and hates America. Why so many Americans can’t see this is beyond me!"

Here's a possible reason so many Americans can't see that: They are not crazed with the sort of filthy hatred you are filled with. Unlike you, many Americans love and respect their president.

Your the reason this nation is divided. God help you.

ARoTPB,

I agree with PM Carpenter, who wrote this:

"I think it wise to acknowledge honorable conservatives. When this madness is over, we're going to need them."

There certainly are honorable conservatives, but none belong to that blog.

Frank Wilhoit said...

No, there are no honorable conservatives. You cannot be a conservative and believe in equality before the law. Conservatism in every time and place, since before it had a name, has been about two-tiered citizenship. There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. Every conservative proposal -- no exceptions -- has the concrete effect of reducing the accountability of one of the in-groups: be it business, be it the church, be it law enforcement, be it the Deep State. If you want to be unaccountable, the back of my hand. Without equality before the law, no honor, no decency.

This is amazing:

Another poll out today from ABC News/Washington Post shows Trump with his worst negative rating since announcing his candidacy, with 70 percent of Americans saying they view him negatively – by far the worst result in history for any major party nominee.

Are the commenters from you-know-where on suicide watch yet?

Howard Brazee said...

There are a lot of different ways of being conservative. And there are times to be conservative and other times to take risks. Putting the Religious Right in bed with Fiscal conservatives and Big Military conservatives and isolationist conservatives and anti-drug conservatives gets a wide variety of values.

And there's a matter of degree. How much should we borrow to invest? Companies that have loads of cash such as Apple still borrow and still invest. For the government to not have any debt is way more conservative than any Big Business is - but obviously a government can borrow too much as well.

This from ABC News --
"In an attempt to defend his controversial claims that the president supports the terrorist group, the presumptive Republican nominee tweeted a story from anti-Obama website Breitbart.com that cites a newly discovered “secret” memo the website says proves Obama is an ISIS supporter."

-------
It's getting out of hand folks. What next, La Drumpf challenges Obama's birth certificate?

And Breitbart.com no less. He's moving up the chain. Next he'll be quoting the mothership itself.

The president is an ISIS supporter. This from the presumptive nominee of the Republican party.
This can't be over too quickly.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Ducky, people from Trump's own party have said he's temperamentally unfit to be president, now they're suggesting he may have mental problems. It certainly looks like that to a lot of people on both sides of the aisle.

Is he cracking up under the pressure of a presidential campaign? If so, that doesn't bode well for the how he'd handle the pressures of the presidency.

I'm having serious doubts that he'll be the nominee. Besides the whacko rabid right wing bloggers who get their "news" from Breitbart.nuts, who is seriously backing Trump?

Trump has stained Ryan's reputation as a serious politician -- Ryan is now seen as weak and gutless for not standing up and renouncing Trump.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Frank Wilhoit,

We here in Massachusetts have an honorable Republican governor as our chief executive. We liberals may disagree with him on some policies, but we do agree that Charlie Baker is no fanatical extreme conservative. In fact, Massachusetts has had more Republican governors than Democratic governors, elected, of course, statewide. I agree with that because our Massachusetts legislature is led by Democrats, and honorable Republican governors such as Baker, and in the past, Weld, Sargent, Volpe, etc., have been a check and balance on excesses.

We need a healthy two party, or three or four or more, system.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Howard, yes agreed.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Luke, I want to keep the fanatics in full view of everyone. It's good to know what they're thinking. Happily, they're a minority. Reasonable Americans don't hold the sort of hatreds and paranoia they hold -- that's why they'll always be on the fringes of decent societies.

Shaw Kenawe said...

NOTE: Trump supporters must be soiling their undies.

They've come to my blog and pasted all manner of conspiracy theories from Breitbart.nutz, as well as other unsubstantiated muck they wallow in. This wasn't happening a few months ago, but I can understand why Trump supporters now feel the need to spread his manure as far and wide as they can: His numbers are not looking good, and Hillary's numbers are. These pathetic trolls believe that by copying and pasting unsubstantiated rumors and dung, that will get Trump elected.

They're to be pitied.

Dave Miller said...

Those stories have to be true Shaw... They saw them on the internets...

Anonymous Reader of TeaPublican Blogs said...

Shaw, there's no help for those people. Here's one of the worst of the conspiracy idiots talking about Presdent Obama:

..Trump was right in saying Obama supports the Taliban and/or ISIS. All one needs to do is look at all his speeches, decisions, and actions since taking office to come to that conclusion.

President Obama has killed more terrorists than George Bush, but he's a Taliban supporter? Obama ended DADT and supports equality of marriage, but he's a Taliban supporter? These people a nuts.

All one needs to do to come to the conclusion that these people are all mad -- in the insane sense of the word -- is read their rantings, and they deliberately keep themselves ignorant so they can hang onto their bigotry against Obama.
