Roy Moore Believes America Was Great During Slavery.
Back in September, one of the few African-Americans in the crowd asked the candidate when he thought was the “last time” America was great.
“I think it was great at the time when families were united. Even though we had slavery, they cared for one another. ... Our families were strong, our country had a direction,” Moore responded, according to a Los Angeles Times report in September.
At the same rally, he also referred to Native Americans and Asians as “reds and yellows,” the LA Times reported.
Just a reminder for the few Goopers who read this blog:
During slavery, familes were ripped apart, marriage was not allowed for many slaves, children were taken from their mothers, never to be seen again, wives and husbands torn away from each other.
But people like Roy Moore don't consider African-Americans people, so it's not surprising he would have ignored the fact that during that shameful time in America's history, families were NOT STRONG. Families were torn apart and destroyed by slavery.
Roy Moore isn't just a predator of teen girls, he's a disgusting racist, not fit to serve as a latrine cleaner in a healthy society.

Moore may lose yet with this latest tweet, which actually surfaced in Sept. but I give him credit, at least he answered the question, something no other Republican has done.
As if on cue, President "There are good people on both sides" Trump offers a second endorsement of a man who admired the age of slavery in the US, was removed from office for not following the law and has provided no credible defense for numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and targeting of underage girls in Alabama.
I'm so disgusted I don't know what to think...
Dave, I've also read that support among millennials for Trump is down to 25%. Trump and the current GOP has turned off young people -- the future voters. They may win that seat in Alabama, but it will be a Pyrrhic victory for the future of the GOP.
Watching the current GOP and all of its disgusting machinations is like watching an orgy of depraved libertines and oligarchs.
Trump is at 32% approval, the tax bill is not supported by a majority of Americans, and trump has lit a fuse in the Middle East. As I said, the current GOP is depraved, led by someone who's probably mentally deficient.

Dave, you sent me to the latest PEW poll, which shows Trump's numbers over the year to have
dropped in every listed category. The elderly dropped 10% down to 38%, Catholics down 10% to 26, and even the very conservative down 7% to 84. The Evangelicals
though down 16%, are still at 61, from which we deduct are still a significant
base: although these 'family value' folks must use some version of the Bible with
which I remain unfamiliar. World wide, his unilateral preemptive move to place a
US embassy in Jerusalem has isolated us from all our allies; the Nikki Haley speech
being an example of how to piss off the world community, with a bit of fascist
smell. We are reminded of the ancient idiom 'the dogs bark, but the caravan moves on', with the hope that at last in the right direction.

I suspect this latest Moore-onic outrage won't cost him any support among evangelicals. Why shouldn't they accept slavery as moral and right? The Bible does.

Are you referring to the unpublished comment re the "sexual predator" remark? It wouldn't surprise me. Another thing about Rusty is that he is a hypocrite. He supports Roy Moore and is pulling for him to win. This despite the fact that, when the picture of Anthony Weiner's package surfaced and he said his Twitter account had been hacked, I initially defended Weiner and Rusty criticized me for it. I just couldn't believe he would do something so stupid.
"WD, you yourself seem a tad creepy... are you perhaps on some sort of list yourself?" was Rusty's response. An obvious implication that I might be on a sexual predator list.
Dervish, I don't want to talk about him anymore. Let's just leave it at this:
Whenever Rusty or Radical disagree with a female who has strong opinions contra to theirs, they use sexual slander and threats to demean her. That is what a sexual predator and degenerate abuser does. That is what he and Radical are.
