PRUITT OUT!

UPDATE:

NYTimes:

"Just when America had all but given up hope, Scott Pruitt’s appalling reign as Environmental Protection Agency administrator is finally over. Thursday afternoon, Mr. Pruitt delivered President Trump his resignation letter, replete with references to “God’s providence” and how “blessed” he was to have had the opportunity to serve not the nation, but this president. He sadly noted that “the unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us.” And so Mr. Pruitt heads for the door, leaving behind a dark, oily stain on the office that he has spent the past year and a half vigorously defiling."

Another corrupt swamp creature is out!

Scott Pruitt Seen Leaving The Trump Administration

Good riddance!

Pruitt was one of President Porn Star Shagger's "Best People."

And now he's gone, taking all of his slimey scandalous behavior with him.

The Trump Administration: The most corrupt in modern American history.

One down at least

It won't be easy to find someone equally bad to replace him, but Trump will manage it.

At least Pruitt never got his wish to become Attorney General. Just imagine him as Mueller's boss (shudder).

Off topic but I wonder if anyone can translate this selection from President Tweety's recent Montana rally. He's talking about sending Kim Jong Un an Elton John CD (no doubt "Rocket Man").

"“I have broken more Elton John (attendance) records, he seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping. No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record. Because you know, look I only need this space. They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.”

Is it any wonder that Scott Pruitt was able to rum amok?

Ducky,I'll try to understand President Spanky's argle-bargle speech:

"“I have broken more Elton John (attendance) records, he seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. [True. But he can Tweet like a bird-brained imbecile.]

"I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ." [But...but...didn't he tell the worldj during the GOP debates that his organ was fine? Now we learn he never even had one? SAD!]

"Elton has an organ." [President Spanky admits to knowing a lot about Sir Elton.]

"No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record." [Yes. Every record on human degeneracy, sadism, corruption, and imbecility.]

"Because you know, look I only need this space." [SPACE FORCE RULZ!!!!!!!!1]

"They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space." [His meds either kicked in or wore off at this point. It difficult to tell.]

"So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain.

The brain is much more important.” [True. If only he and his cultists owned one.]

Anyone remember how crazy the midnight cruise on the Mothership got when Pres Obama gave the queen an IPod loaded with music? Not a gift worthy of a US President giving another head of state. An embarrassment we heard.

Today as news leaks out???

Crickets.

Rocket man... incredible.

Ducky... I’m starting to believe his ghost writer who said Trump can read and didn’t write his books. Here we are in 2018 with an essentially illiterate president who because of that, gets PDB’s in pictures and from FOX..

Dave A quick look over at the other Ship reveals their disgust with the fact that all of Pruitt's underhanded grifting was revealed by leakers! They're not upset with his profligate spending, over-the-top security expenditures, ridiculous, self-aggrandizing office expenditures, his using his aides to run errands and making them use their credit cards to purchase stuff he wanted and never paying his aides back -- none of that disturbs the Ship of Fools. They're upset because Pruitt got found out. They're upsete with the leaks that reveal the rot in this administration. Amazing.

Those are the people responsible for Trump, and we should never let them forget what they did to this country because of their blindness to Trump's and his administration's dishonesty and cupidity.

According to a diplomatic source who spoke with Chosunilbo, the “Rocket Man” CD stems from a conversation Trump and Kim had during their denuclearization summit last month. Trump reportedly asked Kim if he had ever heard the song and Kim said he had not.

The CD refers to the moniker Trump gave Kim last year when tensions between the two world leaders had reached a boiling point. Both Kim and Trump traded juvenile insults for months as Kim launched test missiles and Trump threatened to bring “fire and fury” to the regime.

I must have misread the heading for this subject because I thought it was about Pruitt. His unrelenting spending and directing wealth to others who he knew was unabashed. He must have thought he was in congress and taken a page from maxine's playbook. Of course congress does not have to live under the same rules as everyone else. They are free to steal all they want because they are our royalty.

I agree with you Ms Shaw that we need term limits for anyone in an elected office. Congress is unlikely to pass such a regulation because they would then have to go to work or become a lobbyist. Why is it legal to have lobbyists whose whole function is to bribe politicians.

skud, I take responsibility for moving the thread off topic. Sometimes it's hard not to post when he slips past the ward orderlies and goes public.

You seem to want to shift the topic away from Pruitt and his misconduct as if it's trivial.
The story that Pruitt asked to become AG might have done it. Unlike stuff before, that could be embarrassing to Trump directly. The #1 rule of the Trump group is you can't do anything that makes Trump look bad. If it makes you look bad, whatever, but if it reflects on him, that's forbidden.

Dave Miller said...

Skud... we can talk about Pruitt and the ethics challenged admin all day. You acknowledge Pruitt overspent and tried to enrich others from his position as a cabinet official.

We've been seeing that for months, plain and simple. So my question is this... why now? Did he suddenly get too unethical?

Ducky... you may be correct. Never make the boss look bad.

I'd like to ask someone in the WH if they felt Pruitt was acting unethically. I'm guessing the question would be deflected if it was even addressed.

Sorry Rev, but I think The closest you're going to get to the WH in the next 6 years is looking at it through the iron fence

Yup, with tRump and the cons manning the rudder and machinations of state you're probably right Anonymous.

Dave Miller said...

Anon or Skud... I don’t disagree but what does that have to do with my comment?

skudrunner said...

Rev, anon is not me but I am against any political corruption including Pruitt for making money for himself and others because of his status. Why is there not an investigation about the -H- and her accepting payoffs in her commodities trading, trying to put her friends in the travel agency and of course selling her position for the "clinton foundation". She does seem to be off limits.
As much as you may despise djt, he seems to be the only politician not corrupt and on the take. Look at bernie, three houses and a few million while making 174 a year yet calling the rich horrible.

Duck, Pruitt is not untypical of the non-elected elite. He can do whatever he likes because it is not his money. Now what are they going to do with his phone booth?

Dave Miller said...

Skud... travelgate was litigated as part of Whitewater. She’s also been investigated numerous times and been cleared of all criminal charges. As you know, I’ve never been a fan of hers, primarily because of ethical issues.

But I doubt she rises to the level of Pruitt, the focus of this post.
