Your Weekly Reminder: THE GOP's PRESIDENT IS A LIAR

Image may contain: 1 person, text

But Trump's not just a corrupt liar and deplorable cheat. No. Wait. There's more. He also praises people who do violence to journalists. Are we surprised when he comes to the defense of butchers like MBS? Trump is probably envious of the Saudis' ability to dismember a journalist for doing his work; and if Trump were not constrained by the Constitution and criminal law, he'd have had several American journalists suffer the same fate Khassoghi did in the Saudi embassy in Turkey.

Here's the monster in the White House praising the brute who body-slammed a reporter. Yes, fellow Americans -- i.e., fellow civilized and decent Americans -- Trump is that corrupt and dirty.

From Digby:

Last night, in the middle of this horrific international incident, President Trump praised an American politician for beating up a reporter:

Here's the video of Trump on Greg Gianforte body slamming Ben Jacobs: "Any guy that can do a body slam, he's my kind of guy."

Ben Jacobs's newspaper responded:

Guardian US editor issues statement responding to Trump: “The President of the United States tonight applauded the assault on an American journalist who works for the Guardian.”

Nothing he said is a lie. He stated he had no business interests in Saudi and he doesn't.
Where was king tutt when American journalists were beheaded. Granted he had no business interests period. It does appear the leftist crowd believes in guilty until proven innocent but the ramifications of disrupting relations with SA would have devastating consequences.
For those who live in urban mansions and get around in with uber it will have little effect, unless they are going to their retreats to the shore. For those in the corn belt where you have to drive it will be expensive.

ARE WE NUTS TO PUT UP WITH THIS CRAP? Is America EVER going to recover from the horrible hate, the incivility, the lies, the ignoring of reality that has overwhelmed America since the crazies on the right put that fat orange turd in the White House?

skud Do you ever get tired of defending the crook and liar in the White House. How can a good person defend someone as corrupt and immoral as Trump? Is party loyalty more important than being a mensch?

Anon It wasn't just Goopers who put Trump in the WH. Some Dems and a lot of Independents voted him in. They do not support him now.

From Digby:

Read the first paragraph of this report from Shane Harris in the Washington Post and think about it for a moment:

The Trump administration and the Saudi royal family are searching for a mutually agreeable explanation for the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi — one that will avoid implicating Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is among the president’s closest foreign allies, according to analysts and officials in multiple countries.

I assume that is based upon information from reliable sources. And what it says is truly shocking: the White House is conspiring with the Saudi Government to cover up a murder.

Here's another passage from the New York Times in an article about how Saudi Arabia is considering pinning the blame on a top General presumably with the relieved permission of Trump and Jared Kusner who, according to the Intercept, regularly texts his good buddy Mohammed bin Salmon (MBS) on WhatsApp:

Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and Middle East adviser, has been urging the president to stand by Prince Mohammed, according to a person close to the White House and a former official with knowledge of the discussions.

In addition to Trump's lying, cheating, scamming, shagging, he covers for dictators who murder journalists. That's a no-brainer for the brainless C-i-C. (Not just my opinion. Trump's own inner circle of advisors and aides have called him and "idiot," a "f***ing moron," and worse.

But the Goopers adore him in all his corruption and mendacity.

This is your average right wing Trump sucker on WYD that your troll read and pArroted here on your blog:

"Of course all misinterpretations. She still lives in her little bubble. Remember when Daniel Pearl got his head sawed off and Obama went golfing"

DANIEL PEARL WAS KILLED IN 2002. OBAMA WAS AN ILLINOIS STATE SENATOR.

Again we have hard evidence of why Trump says he loves the poorly educated. They hear something of FOX, believe it and then run to Shaw's blog to comment or their own blogs and paste the crap they heard. Never do they verify if it's true or false. Do they really think folks won't check their stupidity?

The poorly educated are Trump's best friends.

The Saudis have always been there for Lord Dampnut

skud, I picked a Bloomberg article because you might be less likely to dismiss it as "fake news".
He's in debt to the Saudis and Russians as much as tax fraud for his business "success".

Now he wants us to believe that an assassination squad operated in a Saudi consulate without the approval of MBS.
Do you ever get tired of supporting this grifter?

Trump jokes about congressman assaulting reporter: 'Any guy who can do a body slam ... he's my guy'

The POTUS inciting and praising violence against the 1st Amendment. He's supposed to protect and defend the Constitution, and here he's saying punching a journalist is okay in his book.

I wouldn't piss down his throat if his lungs were on fire. He's a treasonous lout.

skud: "Where was king tutt when American journalists were beheaded."

If you're referring to the Daniel Pearle beheading, "king tutt" (I assume you mean President Obama) wasn't in office. Pearle was brutally murdered in 2002.

Also, this isn't about where a president was when an American resident and journalist was savagely murdered by Trump's pals, the Saudis. This is about Trump and his crooked family trying to cover it up or dismissing the murder as the action of "rogue" assassins.

Also, when we had a real man in the presidency, not a cowardly little sh*t like Trump, Americans would NEVER have heard Mr. Obama praise body-slamming a journalist. Trump incites violence and we are absolutely sure that's he'd wet his oversized tightie whities if he were confronted by a real man with clenched fists. He'd duck and go sobbing to his Secret Service caretakers. Cowards always brag about being violent and liking violence, but they're really little panty-waists when confronted by the real thing.

How can you defend this awful human being?

From Ducky's link:

"That statement ([that Trump had no financial dealings with the Saudis] would be easier to digest if Trump hadn't bragged publicly in the past about how much Saudis have spent buying his condominiums – and if he wasn't the steward of the most financially conflicted presidency of the post World War II era.

Trump is playing word games, of course. He says he has no investments in Saudi Arabia or Russia. But that doesn't mean money from those countries hasn't flowed into his coffers. In Saudi Arabia's case, that has meant very different things over the years.

In the early 1990s, Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bought Trump's prized yacht on the cheap from the property developer’s creditors when he was on the cusp of personal bankruptcy. A few years later, one of Trump's lenders forced him to sell the Plaza Hotel, a New York City landmark also mired in debt, to Alwaleed. As David Fahrenthold and Jonathan O'Connell noted in the Washington Post recently, this was a period when Trump was trying to dig himself out of $3.4 billion of debt, about $900 million of which he had guaranteed personally. But Alwaleed was a bargain-hunter at the time, not someone trying to ensnare a failed developer on the unlikely chance that he might someday become president.

Still, Alwaleed, who once described Trump on Twitter as a “disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America,” kept those early deals in mind. When Trump made fun of him on Twitter two years ago, Alwaleed responded by tweeting, “I bailed you out twice; a 3rd time, maybe?”

As Trump climbed out of his debt hole in the late 1990s and early 2000s, he courted Saudi condo buyers. The Saudi Arabian government bought the entire 45th floor of the Trump World Tower in 2001, and, before running for president, Trump was apparently contemplating doing business in Saudi Arabia – he incorporated eight limited-liability companies with names suggesting he planned to do business there (they were later dissolved)."

READ THE REST OF IT, skud, BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO BELIEVE AND DEFEND THE CORRUPT WEASEL IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

tRump is pushing the limits. If Congress remains red and tRump is reelected what we are seeing WILL BE the new normal.

Party loyalty is much more important to guys and gals like skuddrunner. Folks making up the trumpanzee 30% will NEVER acknowledge their Orange Turd's shortcomings and failures. For them he is Taking America Back and MAGA.

Of course the trumpanzees don't want to recognize the trend towards the more authoritarian mindset of the reThuglican party and tRump.

The future is now in question and hangs in the balance.

Ms Shaw, I did not defend DJT but to assert that he had interests IN SA is untrue. The article you quoted stated he said IN SA not with. I realize truth doesn't matter to either side but, unlike some who have nothing to add to a conversation, you generally are somewhat accurate.
No outrage when his holiness said you didn't build your business, we are going to take what you worked for and divide it up or cross that line and there will be repercussions because I'm going to call russia to pull my ass out of this one.
It will be nice to return to some kind of civility in the country but that can only happen if a democrat is elected then we will be to poor to protest.

Wow skudrunner, you really do entertain. The rationalizations, twisting of facts, and flat out ignoring realities are all things tRumpers excel at.

I puzzle at your apparent inability to denounce the myriad examples of shady, unethical, and immoral activities that tRump has engaged in, and continues to engage in.

You need not fear democrats skudrunner. But, you ought to tremble at that which tRump and his lackeys are pushing.

skudrunner said...

RN, I know you have something to say but I seldom know what it is. I was pointing out facts not in evidence with Ms. Shaw's headline. I am not a supporter of djt but do feel he is the first president since reagan who had all Americans best interest in mind not just the special interest groups. I do wish he was more polished but he is getting things accomplished in spite of every press organization being totally against everything he says or does.
I will assume you are in favor of the US supporting every special interest group foreign or domestic. For those of us who pay taxes I would rather have the money spent on something else that a worthless climate change group who has no teeth.
