The GOOP has zero credibility and zero zero integrity.

They're all a bunch of dishonest jackals. They've really confirmed it these last 3 months.

RN, this is a Tweet by Conservative Rick Wilson:

It's forever, Donald.

Forever.

History will forget all the Fox agitprop and bluster and remember you were impeached.

You're on the Mt. Rushmore of corrupt Presidents.

Forever.

THANK YOU LORD FOR IMPEACHING THE BASTARD!

To paraphrase someone who shall not be named “I like Presidents who were not impeached!”

Impeach him today, sign his new trade agreement tomorrow.
The democratic House cutting off funding for his policies would have greater effect than impeaching him.
Trump is going nowhere, so our problem still remains, but if it makes you feel better, congratulations.

Rightly so, the stain of being impeached will follow the criminal POS for the rest of his miserable days. He earned it by working so hard to be such a criminal bastard.

Your mistaken, they didn’t impeach Obama!

If there were any abuse of power, it was the progressive socialist democrats engaging in a conspiracy to overthrow a duly-elected President of the United States

And all of this because the darling of the dems lost the election. Totally partisan vote. Even the serial rapist had some crossover vote for perjury and obstruction of justice.

Now the day after the inauguration of any president impeachment inquires will begin. Now we have two democrats and one republican who have been impeached and zero who have been removed from office. Good job democrats you finally did something, not for the American people but you have receive vindication for selecting a horrible candidate. Nice win for botox Nan.

Jerry Critter said...

skud,
Could you please show me where in the articles of impeachment that they say anything about Clinton losing the 2016 election? If it has anything to do with the Dems, it is their sweeping wins in the 2018 elections where THE PEOPLE elected them to a substantial majority in the House due to the corrupt, criminal, and immoral behavior of Donald.

Keep on keeping us entertained skudrunner.

Thank you in advance.

Skud... regarding the Dems and crossover votes...

Isn't it possible that says more about the courage of Dems?

Isn't it possible that the fact you brought up shows just how partisan the GOP is?

Let's remember... in 1994, the GOP claimed the Clinton Budget would ruin us and voted against it in the House 100%. Result? A roaring economy.

ObamaCare... a hybrid plan developed on GOP promoted models of effective health care. Not one GOP vote. Result? Millions of people, including children and poor people, getting health insurance.

The Dems have always allowed free thinkers and even had a few yesterday on the impeachment vote. The GOP? Not so much.

The ONLY reason it was a partisan vote is that there is not on Republican in Congress with a backbone. Their fake bluster and indignation did not disguise what they all are —spineless jellyfish.

All these Trump cultists moaning and gnashing their tooth. Poor babies. In the words of one of the many criminals in the White House currently - "Get over it."

I do have to hand it to botox Nan. She runs a tight ship and anyone who defies her will pay. I watched one of her many rambles and someone said something which she shut down with a vicious stare. The dems have done a good job of keeping their minions in lock step. Look at obamacare, they may have had to bribe some senators to get them to sign on but they got the vote. Don't you question anyone who would sign something before they read it. They pushed through obamacare with no information and they pushed through the impeachment with a kangaroo court. The dems may be stupid but they are loyal, or scared.

Blueballs, why should the right get over it when in three years and countless counseling sessions the left can't accept that they lost to orange hair.

Mega Man: "If there were any abuse of power, it was the progressive socialist democrats engaging in a conspiracy to overthrow a duly-elected President of the United States.

You provide no evidence for that statement, so we understand you made it all up.

Facts are stubborn things: Donald J. Trump is impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

"The proximate charge as Democrats impeached him for high crimes and misdemeanors on party-line votes Wednesday night was the president’s campaign to pressure Ukraine to help him against his domestic political rivals while withholding security aid. But long before Ukraine consumed the capital, Mr. Trump had sought to bend the instruments of government to his own purposes even if it meant pushing boundaries that had been sacrosanct for a generation." --Peter Baker

None of them disputed the facts. All they did is make a lot of noise.

skud: "And all of this because the darling of the dems lost the election."

You sound like Matt Gaetz. You left out the FACT THAT Trump betrayed his oath of office by asking a foreign government to help him get re-elected and by illegally withholding Congressionally authorized funds from that country in order to get it to do his dirty work.He also ignored Constitutionally authorized powers of the House to subpoena his people to testify and ignored all requests for said testimony and documents. He obstructed Congress.

Your continual harping on the bogus claim about the last election is tiresome and an obvious way for you and other GOPers to avoid looking at Trump's real crimes.

Dave has asked several times if it is wrong for a US president to ask a foreign country to help him find dirt on his political rival to help him get re-elected.

No one's given us a straightforward answer. All you GOPers do is talk about the 2016 election and dumbass conspiracies. IOW you're not honest enough to answer the question.

Shaw Kenawe said...

This is for you, skudrunner. I hope you'll stop with your silly claim that the Dems impeached Trump because Hillary lost in 2016.

Here's what the Republicans threatened before the November 2016 election:

With the latest polls showing Hillary Clinton remains likely to win the election on Tuesday, Republicans are preparing for the possibility of a second Clinton White House by promising to make the next four years a living hell. Some lawmakers are talking openly about refusing to approve any Supreme Court nominees until a Republican is elected president, the F.B.I. is investigating both the Clinton Foundation and the former secretary of state’s use of a private e-mail server, and House Republicans have vowed to launch additional investigations of their own. Now, a growing number of conservatives are warning that there could be a “constitutional crisis” if Clinton is elected, and threatening her with IMPEACHMENT.

Some Republicans are discussing their plans for President Clinton — starting with impeachment

How the GOP is already working on how to impeach Hillary Clinton if she wins

So stop your silly mantra about impeachment because Hillary lost. Mmmmkay?

JHC, skud, that is THE MOST unself-aware comment you've made this year!

NOT ONE GOPer voted to impeach. One Democrat voted "present," Representatives Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, Jared Golden of Maine and Collin Peterson of Minnesota opposed one or both of the charges against Trump.

Name the GOPers who voted FOR impeachment. *crickets*

PS. For the bazillionth time: HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE BY OVER 3 MILLION VOTES. MORE AMERICANS VOTED FOR HER THAN FOR TRUMP.

Ray Cranston said...

"Clinton had lied about sex. That was the root of the accusations against him. Trump, with the help of Rudy Giuliani and others, attempted to withhold hundreds of millions of dollars in military assistance to Ukraine, an ally under assault from Russia, as a way to extract a crude and distinctly personal political favor. Was this not a far graver offense? And yet everyone knew that there was never the remotest chance of hearing a word of contrition from Trump—and that from the Republican Party there would be no self-questioning, no doubt. Tribalism—and the demands of Trumpism—would not permit it."

Dave Miller said...

Nancy Pelosi has stepped up into the drivers seat.

Hold the Articles. Period. Until such point as the Senate agrees to force Bolton and Mulvaney to testify as material witnesses.

And, do just what Jonathan Turley, the GOP Lawyer suggested... move forward in the courts at the same time, trying to force testimony and documents from the stonewalling Trump Admin.

Then, as Jennifer Rubin, a conservative lawyer who writes for the WAPO has suggested, amend the Articles if needed.

Easy peasy. Then the process is not rushed, as the GOP alleged, and all of the House members who sided with Turley will be happy, because the process is more deliberative.

There is nothing in the Constitution that says when those Articles must be transmitted, or even if they need be. It seems that decision is left up to the House.

Way to go Nancy.

I guess the fourth time is a charm. The dems finally got what they wanted. Now botox Nan is holding up passing it to the Senate because she wants a fair hearing. That is s joke because stiff did everything he could to prevent the house trial from being open and honest. She knows she has no chance of removing trump from office so she will hold it back. Why was no one on trumps side allowed to be called during the hearings, because stiff wanted to totally control the information.

Rev there is also nothing in the constitution against asking for a favor from a president. There is a law against the US paying ransom in the middle of the night to a known enemy but that doesn't matter.

Trump is a threat to the country and he needs to be ousted. They flew through the house trial in record time because trump is a threat now they are holding it up. Where is the urgency to get him out of office.

For the bazillionth time -H- lost. If she won the republicans would be impeaching her.

skudrunner: "The dems finally got what they wanted. Now botox Nan is holding up passing it to the Senate because she wants a fair hearing."

McConnell said 'I'm not an impartial juror' ahead of Senate impeachment trial and that he was “taking my cues” from the White House in shaping the trial. No court in the country would allow a member of the jury to also serve as the accused’s defense attorney,” The moment Senator McConnell takes the oath of impartiality required by the Constitution, he will be in violation of that oath.

Do you approve of a juror not listening to evidence and making up his or her mind before the trial begins? If you do, welcome to the Soviet Union or North Korea. That's how things are handled in those anti-Democratic dictatorships, not America.

skud: "Why was no one on trumps side allowed to be called during the hearings,"

Trump stopped his people who could have exculpated him from testifying at the impeachment hearings. Where the hell have you been? He could have had any witness he wanted.

Do you actually research ANYTHING before you come here and post? It doesn't look like you do. You've written stuff here that's untrue

skud: "Rev there is also nothing in the constitution against asking for a favor from a president."

You're being willfully ignorant. Trump asked Zelensky for help in finding dirt on the Bidens that would help him get elected. He said so himself as did the people who were his agents, aides, and ambassadors.

You keep coming here with untruths and I'm wasting my time trying to right the record you deliberately muddy. That makes you and the rest of the Trump cultists complicit in crimes against America.

Congratulations.

Enjoying the repubs, including skudrunner's, frantic distractions, deflections and evasion of documented facts. History will paint this Republican Senate ( as well as 40% of Americans who support Trump) as no more and no less than lackeys manipulated by a corrupt dishonest potus.

Facts and truth ultimately find their way to the surface and the light. That is what has happened to Trump, his administration, and the GOP. They are being exposed and glaringly so.

Is it any wonder why Trump is so frantic and Moscow Mitch with his lackey's in the senate plan to have no witnesses. Republicans have become criminals assaulting our Constitution, the rule of law, and the very foundations on which our founders built this nation.

Sad indeed.

It's interesting that skud and the other Trumpublicans failed to notice in the impeachment hearing yesterday that NOT ONE REPUBLICAN said that Trump is an honorable, honest man who would never do what he is accused of. NOT ONE!

Skud and his friends never mention the fact that Trump's own party cannot vouch for Trump's character. I've never heard any GOPer call trump a decent, honest man. Never.

skud continues to mock Speaker Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff -- people DO vouch for their character.

That shows us all we need to know about skud's values.

Here's Trump in his own words about impeachment:

"...Trump himself drew this distinction in 2008, arguing that President George W. Bush should have been impeached for lying about the reasons for the Iraq war, while at the same time rejecting the Republicans’ impeachment of Mr. Clinton for lying about sex as “nonsense,” done for something “totally unimportant."

Shaw-
Do these people actually realize that they ARE cult members,
along the same lines as the people who willingly drank the
Kool-Aid in Jonestown? Do you think they even give a real
thought to what's REALLY at stake here? Have they turned off
their minds and thinking so completely as to, actually NOT
thinking and deciding\for themselves that they become
like lemmings, blindly following the herd...
over the cliff?

Even sadder, ...these people vote...
Is it that willful self-delusion trumps all critical
thinking/decision-making?

Is this stupid, blind, devotion to ultimately,
their own destruction,irreversible?

Can't they see throughout history, it all ends
the same, sad way:
The bodies of the blind, stacked up and
rotting away, the smell heavy in the air...
and greater still..the willful mental blindness
and stupidity that led them to the dark place.

The lesson of history is very clear: It all ends
the same way. The searing waves of rippling
pain, and the last conscious thoughts firing
thru a mind slipping into its demise:

"Maybe...maybe I was wrong about...
Donald Trump..."

Then,...eternal darkness.....
