The Party of Trump and "Family Values:"

The Party of Trump, once called the Republican Party that valued character, that called abortion "baby killing," and that ridiculed Black men who made babies with several women and were absentee fathers, has embraced Herschel Walker and forgiven him for his hypocritical life and lies about being a good father.  That same political party ridiculed and detested Barack Obama -- who had only one wife and was a faithful husband and responsible, loving father.

The current Party of Trump cares nothing for family values, honesty, and decency in who they run for political office, q.v. Donald J. Trump, Herschel Walker.

The current Party of Trump has gone all in for Mammon in service to political power.

Source: Washington Post

"The mother of one of Herschel Walker’s children had to repeatedly press the former football star who is now the Republican Senate nominee in Georgia for funds to pay for a 2009 abortion that she said he wanted her to have, according to the woman and a person she confided in at the time.

“When I talked to him, I said, 'You need to send — I can’t afford to pay for this,” the woman said in one of several interviews with The Washington Post in recent days, adding that she also told him: “We did this, too. Both of us did this. We both know how babies are made.”

The woman, who lived in the Atlanta area at the time, said she became pregnant when she was unemployed and had less than $600 in her bank account. Walker sent a $700 check via FedEx about a week after the procedure, the woman said.

The Post reviewed an image of the check that was printed on an ATM slip, with Walker’s name, signature and an address associated with him at the time. It was deposited nine days after the woman said she had an abortion.

The Post has reviewed a receipt for $575 at a women’s medical center that day. She said she did not know exactly how much an abortion would cost and estimated the amount she told Walker she would need based on online searches."

And this:

"The second time she became pregnant, in 2011, Walker also did not respond immediately to her calls, she said. Walker again said she should not have the baby, according to the woman and her confidant. Again, Walker said it was “not a good time” for a baby, she said.

But the woman said she did not want to undergo a second abortion and felt fate had intervened, with the second pregnancy being a “sign” that she should raise the child. Walker sent occasional checks to the woman during her second pregnancy, she said, but the money didn’t come on any regular schedule so she could not depend on it.

“It was just whenever he felt like getting around to it,” the woman recalled. Eventually the woman took Walker to court to get child support, records show.

“The child’s mother is a graduate student … struggling to make ends meet,” according to a May 2013 statement about that case from her lawyer at the time, Andres Alonso.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Walker has thus far decided not to take full financial responsibility for the care of his alleged son.”

Reminder: We don't care that Herschel Walker and his former girlfriend decided to have an abortion. It's the Republicans who think he is a baby murderer, not us.

On the other hand, we do care, and you should too, that he is a violent misogynist who beats up his intimate partners, threatens to murder them, abandons his children, and refuses to pay child support.

He's a bad person. Period.

A vote for Herschel Walker is a vote of approval for men who behave like him.

Republicans are the biggest hypocrites on the planet... well in the US anyway. There are some crazy nutjobs all over the world.
I had to look up mammon.

Hershel Walker... no morals, no integrity, hypocrite, dishonest, educated but ignorant. An ideal candidate for the Trumpublican party of lies, hypocrisy, and the belief that winning is the ONLY important thing and shall be accomplished at any cost.

Hershel is not a bad human being. He is a totally lost human being. And he is being encouraged and groomed by a TOTALLY lost and disgraced party. The Party of Trump.

They love their token idiot liar. How low can they go?

To the bottom.

They'd REALLY love someone like Alex Jones to hold office too.

They are evil. Truly evil.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Unsurprisingly, MT Greene came out today defending Jones, talking about his "freedom of speech." She is so ignorant, she has no idea that freedom of speech is not absolute, otherwise people could go online or cable and accuse Greene of boiling babies in oil and eating them, or being an adulterous wife (Oh, wait. That's true.)

Anyway, it's not shocking that she knows so little about American law. She's nothing more than a performative idiot.

The trumpublican party is replete with idiots like MTG. Unfortunatly the party of trump is proud of its ignorance.

2009 and 2011? Why does this come up now a month before the elections?

It's called politics. Remember what James Comey did in October of 2016? That October surprise?

Would it be better if Walker's hypocritical sordid past were kept secret?

It is indeed interesting how the horrible acts by republican's come out years if not decades after the incident "occurred". Look at Kavanaugh allegation which was closed until he was up for nomination then some one from his distant past came to light. Couldn't remember where it happened or when and wasn't sure he was the culprit but it was all over the press. Where is she now? The walker allegation a month before the election. I can't believe the honorable political party mines for trash to spring just before an election that they stood a very good chance of loosing.

It will be fun to watch the debate because walker has a difficult time putting together a full sentence. Maybe he figures if biden doesn't need to put together a cohesive sentence why should I.

SK: skud, naturally you'd call pointing out Walker's egregious hypocrisy about abortion, absentee fathers, and domestic violence as mining "trash." Other folks would call it exposing an unqualified, two-faced liar who knows nothing about government or governing. The people of Georgia deserve to know the kind of unqualified people the current Republican Party uses so that they can get a puppet in to the US Senate.

Comparing Walker to Biden is stupid. Biden knows how government works, he's spent his life serving in it. Walker is obviously suffering from CTE, which will make it easier for his handlers to tell him how to vote. What a disgrace!

Biden makes gaffs and mistakes, it's true, but he knows how to govern and be a decent human being at the same time, unlike Walker or Trump.

Oh skud, bringing Kavanaugh myths to a truth fight.

Per the interwebz, a group of Democratic senators said a letter from Chris Wray (FBI hotshot) showed in 2018 the FBI gathered over 4,500 tips on sexual misconduct of Kavanaugh without any apparent action.

This means there were no investigations for thousands of credible reports, something many women already know to their core as rape is something the GQP doesn't consider a serious issue.

If a person has learned better and is doing better I'm all for letting their past remain in the past. However, as I've observed with current events - looking at you Walker and his enablers - many if not all of the GQP candidates have not learned anything except how better to reinvent themselves after their dirty deeds define them.

skud, your ableism is on display by saying such stuff as this: "Maybe he figures if biden doesn't need to put together a cohesive sentence why should I."

President Biden has been open about his speech impediment. That you would mock him and assume his speech mishaps means he's stupid is discrimination of the worst sort. Thank you again for proving your lack of character. I'm sure whatever deity you follow has a few words for you, especially if you follow one of the Christian sects. Something about not bearing false witness?

Agree or disagree with WHAT President Biden says, fine. Do not mock HOW he says it as you are sliming everyone else in the world who shares the same speech impediment. Bad form skud. If there were points awarded for debate you would have cost yourself and your team the match.

PS - have you listened to WHAT Hershel Walker says? Yeah, the fact you haven't slammed his word salads says more about you than him - just saying....

Shaw - whenever I listen to Mr. Walker talk it's all I can do to not cry. CTE is a serious disease that needs more attention.

Actually all the brain issues under the Dementia umbrella need more attention in a world already filled with issues screaming for attention. Hard to know how to prioritize it all.

What I do know is my father passed from early onset Alzheimer's Disease and listening to him at the end of his life was a lot like listening to Mr. Walker. Those using him for their own political agenda are the worst sort of humans.

My late husband suffered with Alzheimers for years, and I lost a beloved sister to it. My husband's mother and father died from Alzheimers. I do know the agony of seeing loved ones suffer with that dreadful disease.

IMO, Walker is suffering from CTE, and the shameful Georgia GQP think this unfortunate man is highly qualified for the U.S. Senate!

Grey, I agree with you the FBI has been compromised for decades and leadership should be changed as well as the political culture within the organization. Nowhere has it been posted that biden has a speech impediment unless foot in mouth can be classified as a speech impediment. Age has limitations although biden has a long history of foot in mouth impediment so don't take the high ground and accuse me of having lack of character. There should be age limits for all politicians because after a certain age they become dangerous and the current leader is just that. Who can he alienate next to punish the American people.

I have never listened to walker and if you say he presents a word salad then I believe you. He must have the same speech writers a the VP.

What Joe Biden’s Speech Disorder Means For Young Americans With Disabilities

You can be forgiven for not knowing this about Joe Biden, but it has been publicized enough that you should have.

My son had a speech impediment but with therapy and knowledge of how to deal with it, he's done very, very well.

Joe Biden has managed his impediment but even he has slipped up and makes mistakes. I wouldn't call that putting a "foot in mouth," but rather a slip-up in dealing with a speech impediment.

So, you don't have lack of character, but in this case you had lack of knowledge of President Biden's lifelong struggle with a speech impediment.

So stuttering is a speech impediment, who would have know he has one if it was not promoted. He is also part Puerto Ricon, traveled over a million miles on a train, was the head of his law class, he lost a lot to fire with his wife in it and of course I am doing everything I can to lower gas prices. If you believe those you will believe his stuttering instead of foot in mouth.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "So stuttering is a speech impediment, who would have know he has one if it was not promoted."

Well, some of us knew about it because we were curious about his speech gaffs, and we found out what the pathology for his speech hesitations was -- a speech impediment -- stuttering.

"Stuttering is a speech disorder characterized by repetition of sounds, syllables, or words; prolongation of sounds; and interruptions in speech known as blocks. An individual who stutters exactly knows what he or she would like to say but has trouble producing a normal flow of speech. These speech disruptions may be accompanied by struggle behaviors, such as rapid eye blinks or tremors of the lips. Stuttering can make it difficult to communicate with other people, which often affects a person’s quality of life and interpersonal relationships. Stuttering can also negatively influence job performance and opportunities, and treatment can come at a high financial cost.

Symptoms of stuttering can vary significantly throughout a person’s day. In general, speaking before a group or talking on the telephone may make a person’s stuttering more severe, while singing, reading, or speaking in unison may temporarily reduce stuttering."

Millions of Americans and people around the world know this because the information about President Biden's speech impediment WAS/IS out there for anyone who cared find it.

You can watch this and see for yourself.

I admire President Biden who overcame a difficult handicap and became an inspiration to millions of children and adults who suffer with this particular speech impediment.
