For some reason, Hannity of FAUX NOOZ aired this telephone conversation between Joe Biden and his son Hunter:
What did Hannity hope to achieve by airing this to his audience?
What it shows is a compassionate, loving father dealing with a terrible problem that millions and millions of parents in this country deal with every day. So where's the story here? Did Hannity think this audio would put Joe Biden in a bad light?
It doesn't. What this audio showed is a decent father who loves his son and who stood by him in the most difficult time of his life. Joe Biden is the very embodiment of what fake Christians like to preach but seldom, if ever, follow: "Love one another." Their very own Savior teaches them that is the most important thing. And here's a father doing it in one of the most difficult situations a parent can face.
FAUX NOOZ thought this was an "own" on Joe Biden:
So many parents have experienced this heartbreak. It takes FAUX NOOZ to exploit a family’s private issues. I hope they never have to go through it but if they do, I'd hope they'd tell their child, “I love you more than the whole world.”
Thank you, FAUX NOOZ and Hannity for showing your viewers the decent and caring man that is Joe Biden. I'll stick with this loving, compassionate father -- HE is the embodiment of what Christians believe Christianity is about.

If Hannity and folks like him only realized what they really look like to people who are real, sincere, ad decent. Something it appears they have no clue about.
And likely never will.
I'd love to know what one of my sisters thinks of this. She has turned into a rabid Fox watching person (along with her husband). The thing is that they have a 48 year old son who is an alcoholic, who recently lost his job and his tiny apartment and is now living in a half way house. They have spent a lot of their retirement money on trying to help him and get him sober but he denies there is anything wrong. Do they blame themselves for how he has turned out--absolutely not (as they shouldn't). Maybe this will spark some empathy in them...but I won't hold my breath.
I suppose they prefer Herschel Walker's style of parenting.

I dealt with this situation, and I know what it means to tell one's child that you will always love them, even through the most difficult, horrific times. My young adult child made it through some dark times, but we never gave up. This young adult child is now a healthy, loving, caring, responsible, and successful adult. And our relationship is closer than ever.
They [Fox] are making this sound like Biden is a bad guy?? There is no bottom.

It’s really mean to report this as anything other than how much a dad loves his kid. Hunter Biden’s mom and sister died in a car wreck and his brother died of brain cancer. I’d say he’s doing ok.

The fact of the matter is that many addicts have family members who can’t or won’t say these words to them.
No amount of money could have produced an ad this good for the democrats and Joe Biden.
If Sean Hannity thought he'd embarrass Pres. Biden by playing an audio clip of Biden expressing love & support for his son Hunter, all that Hannity showed was the compassion of Pres. Biden as a caring father & the depravity, indecency & moral rot of a soulless Sean Hannity.
