Using the tragic plane collision over the Potomac that cost 67 human souls as an occasion to slam DEI hiring was obscene. There’s zero evidence at this point that an underqualified air traffic controller or pilot had any role in this crash.

I would expect -FJ should be satisfied with the kind of "evidence" Trump shows when questioned about his blaming the DC air crash on DEI:

Tell me why he could not wait 1 day before a new political attack. It's almost 3pm PST and we're still waiting for a statement of consolation from our president to the victims families, or anything that says he cares about their loss and pain.

It says that “problematic and likely illegal decisions” during their administrations “minimized merit and competence in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).” They implemented “dangerous ‘diversity equity and inclusion’ tactics,” it said, and recruited “individuals with ‘severe intellectual’ disabilities in the FAA.” The executive order says that his return to “merit-based recruitment, hiring, and promotion” will “ensure that all Americans fly with peace of mind.”

But there is a larger story than that of Trump’s attempt to blame Democrats for a disaster that happened on his watch. Trump has nominated right-wing religious extremist Russell Vought, who was a key author of Project 2025, to be the director of the Office of Management and Budget, although he has not yet been confirmed.
Emily Davies, Jeff Stein, and Faiz Siddiqui of the Washington Post reported yesterday that the proposal emailed to many of the 2.3 million people who work for the federal government offering them an inducement to resign was also a surprise to the White House. The memo came from the Office of Personnel Management, now run by Elon Musk’s team, and the email had the same title as one Musk sent to Twitter employees when he took over the company."

Now for some pesky facts... none of which will be considered by the -FJ/Joe C/Anon Troll Cabal.
1. Trump blamed DEI, without evidence, for the crash. He did so before the black boxes were found, which will tell us what happened. Why would he have done this?
2. Trump claimed those DEI programs were put in place during both the Obama and Biden Administration.
3. Trump failed to mention that in his first administration, he could have ended any Obama DEI program the same way he did last week upon his return to office. Yet he chose to all those Obama programs to remain.
4. Trump also failed to mention that he himself, in his first term, launched a specific DEI program to give severely disabled people a chance to work as Air Traffic Controllers.
5. Trump, answering the question as to whether he was going to visit the crash site, mocked the question, asking if he was supposed to go swimming. Many ppl found this to be another stunning, sarcastic lack of empathy from our President.

None of this however should have mattered yesterday as President Trump spoke. Even if culpability could have been ascertained by the time Trump spoke, his first and foremost job was to comfort the families who lost loved ones and exhort America to pray for those families and the first responders.
Why we should ask, was his first instinct to place blame, attack former presidents and mostly ignore the grieving families?
Yesterday, in his press conference, President Trump said the FAA is "actively recruiting people who suffer severe disabilities, psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's web site."
He claimed that the program was a product of the Obama and Biden Administrations. Multiple news organizations are now reporting, with the actual signed orders from Trump himself, that these programs were authorized by his administration in 2019.
We still have no idea what happened over the Potomac Wednesday night. But we do know this... President Trump has determined the cause was DEI and has attacked his predecessors for a program he created.
You can't make this stuff up.
