What if the plans that POTUS Trump had for success in an Iran war are nowhere to be found
What if the only way to subdue the mullahs and the religious fanatics ruling that country is to commit massive ground forces for an indeterminate amount of time?
What if Iran does not trust the US Government under Trump because as they have noticed, he and his Admin cannot, based on empirical evidence, be trusted?
What if what the Trump administration is offering Iran for peace is mostly— as some have reported— the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action from the Obama years that President Trump rescinded in his first term, but which Iran has now rejected?
What if all of our high-tech, multimillion-dollar weapons are, as Russia has recently found, no match for a basement-built force of fast, nimble, cheap drones that can wreak havoc across borders and make safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz impossible?
Then what do we do?
We have elected a president whose administration has shown itself unable to think strategically, unable to be truthful with the American people, and unable to admit when it is wrong, reset, and move ahead.
America and the world are facing a critical moment right now. And the person in charge seems to have no clue what we should do.

Iran's leadership, regardless the authoritarian theocracy that it is, is absolutely right not to trust a damn thing the preznit of this nation and his regime of yes men and women say.
The truth is Israel's Zionisr government and its Butcher, Netanyahu, allied with the trump regime are the greatest threat to world peace and human survival on the planet. Period. Full Stop.
It shouldn't be what if we screwed up it should be we did screw up. After Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam we just haven't learned that we don't understand middle east and other culture's and we never will. The current US regime attacked Iran for much the same reason an aspirin factory was attacked, to divert from an investigation of wrongdoing. We have presidents who pound their chests that no one can stand up to the mighty US only to be proven wrong. The current bloviated leader just can't get away from his ever growing ego from starting wars to signing currency to naming a performance arts center after him. Next step is to name the statue of liberty to the statue of trump.
If the opposing party had a leader they would start impeachment proceedings but with hakeem and chuckie leading the opposition that won't happen.

The US needs an intervention or it needs to hit rock bottom to begin changing directions.

BTW Sports fans... the GOP controlled House has rejected the TSA funding plan approved by the GOP controlled Senate. That said, if and when the GOP proposes a solution to the voter problem that does not exist, and it includes a single free federal ID, acceptable in all jurisdictions of the US and our territories, then I'm sure the Dems will sign on.
But Dems will never accept limits on mail in voting, which has proven to be almost 100% effective, fraud free and something most people who use it wish to continue in its present form.
Current GOP plans in the SAVE Act make universal mail in voting almost unworkable. Add that to ongoing GOP plans to discredit and then eliminate US mail service and the Dems see a unified plan to curtail a method to vote their people like.
I'm sure there is a solution to this problem which no evidence suggests exists, but you're the perfect example of why we will never get there.

The Democrats hold no power — they cannot impeach Trump because the Republicans who hold the majority in the House wouldn’t even bring it up for a vote, but you know that. And even if the House voted to impeach, the Senate that is controlled by the GOP would never vote to convict. How exactly does the opposing party “ take down” a president of the party in power? Do you know? I’m guessing you know something we don’t know since you claim the Dem’s leadership should “take Trump down.”

When did the democrats need anything to begin impeachment investigations. They spent in excess of 30 million to advocate russia involvement in the election so they are not above spending money and resources promoting their own agenda. I favor having a federal ID to vote but voting is a state issue so a state ID should be acceptable. I haven't heard of one state where residents cannot get an ID at no cost. I'm sure dube will find one which I anticipate with great anticipation.
Idaho charges $30 for a 3 year driver license with a photo that looks like a felon. For $2500 you can can one that looks like a young Robert Redford.

Most states have a fee for an ID, but have provisions for free IDs to the elderly, the blind, veterans, and those on assistance or in need of housing.

That's 100% correct. But by the SAVE Act, that free state ID is not usable to prove citizenship, so it's useless to allow someone to vote. As are drivers licenses except in about 5 states. As are many birth certificates people have. As are the IDs many women have post marriage.
Which is why we need, if we believe we truly need to fix a non existent problem, a single federal ID card, issued free of all costs, by the US government.
But you see, getting everyone a federal ID so they can vote is not what the GOP wants. They want to eliminate some people from being able to vote. Instead of working to make it easier for all US citizens to vote, be it in person, absentee or by mail.
Skud... I do believe you support Trump. In fact you said so. Once you said you are an independent, I accepted that. I don't call you a Republican, though I do note your support for their policies and the people who enable those policies.
I guess you could call it a distinction without a difference, but based on your support of the current MAGA base, or at least unwillingness to signal disgust beyond Trump, I would not agree.
Name two progressive/liberal/Dem policies or views you support Skud. Show us how independent you really are. Name a couple of national Dems you've supported over the years.
