IT NEVER DIES

The "The Jews control the movies, media, courts, universities, etc., etc., and that's why America is a mess" trope is still around. It has been with us since the Romans nailed Jesus to the Cross. Oh, and I forgot that "the Jews" are destroying "our traditional Christian values."

Those "traditional Christian values" unfalteringly support a man who cheated on all three wives, bragged about sexually assaulting women because he's a star, partied for decades with America's most notorious child sex traffickers/rapists, Epstein and Maxwell; and he's in the Epstein files thousands of times. Trump is a known liar, cheat, and fraudster, a convicted felon, and adjudicated sexual assaulter/rapist (judge's word), with more felony counts outstanding. He has betrayed Ukraine and cozied up to a brutal dictator, Putin. And just last week, Trump topped this misery of lewd, venal, and mendacious behavior by praising a mother who sided with her nine-year old daughter's step-father, her rapist. Trump did not condemn the political ad besmirching the woman who, as a child, endured that horrendous attack. And that's because Trump has no human decency in him, he cares only for what enriches him and gives him power.

THAT is what this benighted commenter on the Mother Ship claims are his and his fellow sailors' "Christian values" -- supporting a disgusting swine like Trump.

The irony of invoking 'Christian values' while spreading this kind of text is staggering. Let’s look at actual history: antisemitism is a millennia-old sickness that dates all the way back to the Roman Empire, and it has been wrong every single day since.

On this planet, Jewish people are a tiny minority—accounting for roughly 0.2% of the global population. Trying to blame a small, historically persecuted minority for the complex cultural shifts in a country of 340 million people is the oldest, laziest trick in the book. It isn't 'bold' or 'daring' to resurrect ancient Roman-era scapegoating; it's just slander. If "Sam Huntington" claims to stand for traditional values, he should start by rejecting the prejudice that has caused nothing but horror throughout history."

Sam Huntington:

Weiss is left-leaning, like Saddam Hussein was a moderate Ba’athist. The truth about Weiss is that she is just one of several very wealthy, self-loathing American Jews who now control the MSM.  I’ve noted this over the years, only to have my head handed to me for daring to suggest that American Jews are 100% behind the destruction of our traditional Christian values.  Look, I know people have made such claims before—not only here but also abroad.  I know it isn’t “all Jews,” so please spare me the blather about Jewish friends and relatives who love America.  Still, the number of Jews who continually attack our Christian values and support anti-American and pro-Arab terrorist movements, while small, remains significant—because of what they control: a mind-bending number of American media platforms.

For the record, it’s okay with me if no one cares to spend the effort investigating easily discernible truths over time—I won’t belabor the point.  Still, if the American people want their country back, they (1) need to understand where the problems lie and (2) do something about them.  What, you ask?  Well, at the head of the list, refuse to engage with those platforms and refuse to purchase products advertised on American-hating media.

"easily discernible truths" about "traditional Christian values".

Um, I have a point of order. I've been writing at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation for more than a minute and since day one our trolls told us Constitution loving lefties that they didn't need no stinking Constitution because the USA was founded on Traditional Christian Values*.

So we all asked, what do you consider TCV*? Aaannnnnddddd crickets.

Not one person (troll or not) has ever answered the question (and it's been decades of asking with no reply) so I'm going to say they aren't as "easily discernible" as claimed.

Our country was founded on the idea that every person here has the right to worship as they see fit. It would be why our First Amendment is written the way it is. But that's not how the current admin or all of MAGA think. They are convinced the US is a Christian Nation rather than a nation in which a lot of Christians live.

Americans "taking their country back" - I've heard it so many times I grow weary having to answer the claims of the toddler group. That said, there is no going back as the current admin has just about trashed the place. To be sure it was falling apart through neglect for a while now but yeah, Trump knows how to wield a sledge hammer to great effect. What was the current admins motto? Oh yeah, move fast and break things. On that topic I think they got the job done.

So, what to do from here? We are Americans. We rebuild. We know what we want (housing, health care, foods, and 'something to do'). The young ones have already started to build community amongst themselves to ensure their neighbors will not starve when it all goes pear shaped. And from there we keep going to build our more perfect union.

Now, I have to remind folks that these fascists are feeling cornered, unpopular, and worst of all - to them at least - their numbers of followers are falling. In order to retain power they have to "do something". Hegseth is exploring giving our troops Ketamine wafers (removes the inhibitions about following those pesky illegal orders). Combined with the testosterone shots what could go wrong?

Back to the point of the post - before any sort of agreement can be ironed out the MAGA-sphere has to learn how to live outside their MAGA bubble. Until then I continue to refill the hope in my heart with my meditations as I visualize MAGA stepping on an endless series of rakes. Smacked in the face or destroying toes - it's wall to wall rakes. I don't know about anyone else but that vision gives me both hope and joy.

I consider the support of the Zionist genocidal butcher Netanyahu by a large segment of the European Zionist Jews of Israel and the USA just as disgusting, reprehensible, revolting, and criminal as I consider donald j. trump and his character and actions.

It's time the people of the Jewish faith and Christian faith actually wake up completely and genuinely start to live the faiths they profess to follow.

The actions of Netanyahu and the Zionists in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon are sickening and deserve no quarter. Period. And the USA should not be supporting Netanyahu's lies and action's in the Middle East.

If that makes me anti Semite, so be it. Right is right and wrong is wrong. And genocide and ethnic cleansing is absolutely wrong. Regardless who does it.

I was having a convo, in person, with a friend a while back. He just, in the middle of a conversation about money, said Jews historically have been bankers. Because their swarmy people!

Now I'm sure there are some folks here who won't see that word as a slight against anyone. And they'll be people who will ask "why do you guys always get so worked about this stuff? These are just words.

But what do people group have to do to get beyond historic, bigoted, racist stereotypes?

Pfff...

These folks believe the media is controlled by a bunch of left leaning Jews. Really? What's left over in major US media after we eliminate all these right/MAGA/Conservative leaning news and media orgs?

Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, CBS News, The Washington Post, The Daily Wire, The Blaze, The Free Press, The National Review, Newsmax, One America News (OAN), Breitbart News, The Daily Caller, The Epoch Times, The LA Times, Gateway Pundit, McClatchy News, USA Today, Sinclair Media, Nexstar Media, The Denver Post, Chicago Tribune and more, including AM Talk Radio.

Anyone who thinks the US media is dominated by a bunch of liberal Jews, or is simply the "lamestream left leaning MSM", is either an idiot, or purposefully not thinking.

Which is it Sam? IDK.

The only thing I'm surprised about is Sam and his cronies did not bring up George Soros in this post. Soros, clearly a lefty has spent lavishly on Dems, much to the consternation of not just the GOP, but the racists among them.

A good example is the Mothership Captain who rarely skips a beat or a chance to slam the Jewish Soros for supporting Dems. Which he has over the last 15 years to the tune of about $600 million.

I agree, that's a staggering amount of money and by extension influence, going into our political races. But when you are mad at Soros, as Geeez and her readers regularly are, and not equally mad at Elon Musk for dumping over $700 million into our elections in just the last two years, again we have to assume these people are not just idiots, but racist idiots.

Again I ask... why do racists, bigots and Nazis believe they are welcome in the GOP and the MAGA movement?

It is NOT antisemitic to dislike the Israeli government. My children's step-mother is Jewish (and we're very good friends), and neither she nor my ex-husband support Netanyahu. What is antisemitic, IMO, is what Sam Huntington wrote on the Geeez blog. He made an old antisemitic accusation about Jews that is absolutely wrong and shameful; but, unfortunately many Christians believe it.

Shaw Kenawe said...

I've never heard the term "swarmy" applied to Jewish people! Did he mean they "swarm" like bees? The only definition I found was this: Swarmy is a less common variant or distinct term with several meanings, frequently confused with or related to smarmy.

Thanks for bringing up the comparisons between Soros and Musk and their support for the Democrats and Republicans. Musk has given more to GOP candidates and causes in two years than Soros has in 15. So it's not giving money that's their problem, it's that Soros is Jewish! Their bigotry is so obvious!

The Christian Zionists are among the most antisemitic people there are. It took me awhile to arrive at that conclusion. But there I am.

Grey, I get scolded for not providing "receipts" of the things I say yet you make all sorts of accusations without a single reference. You mention the facist which is far right leaning group. You do know that the left leaning facist is a communist or you can use my term leslieism.
Your we rebuild is followed by "we want (housing, health care, foods, and 'something to do')". Housing is to expensive because there is a shortage houses in part by over regulations and people who want to make a profit on what they own. Healthcare is to expensive because of insurance companies, architecturally designed care facilities, lawyers and malpractice and a society that cares little about a healthy lifestyle. I am an advocate for basic healthcare for all and not comprehensive healthcare for all.
If you really want a country that provides all services then you must want a country where it's citizens pay their fair share of taxes and want secure borders so we are treating our own. If you don't want that then you are just another hypocrite.
I am not a trump supporter but he did one thing right and that was stop the millions crossing the border without an invitation.

skud, let's be clear - you get called out for quoting others without providing a source. As your past quotes have been mostly, not all but mostly figments of your imagination I concur with the groups request that you provide your sources. As stated by many before me, you have the right to your own opinions. You do not have the right to make up facts to fit your narrative.

Point of order - I said fascists and skud felt that rake and hollered about "both sides". Since language is a skill level too far for you skud I took a look at my favorite book (the dictionary), specifically Merriam Webster who defines the word fascist as a person who advocates or works to further the aims of fascism towhit an adherent of or participant in a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and forcible suppression of opposition

So, since I'm being held accountable I'll provide examples. Let's break it down:
A. exalts nation and often race above the individual.
Trump, shithole countries, MAGA, and the ever present message that paying more at the pump is the price we have to pay for America to be great again. The racism writ large by who and how ICE detains people of color shouldn't need separate attribution here. I believe my past honesty and factual presentations speaks for itself.

B. centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader,
When the Trump 2.0 cabinet was convened it was revealed that several cabinet positions were combined so people like Marco Rubio is not only the Secretary of State he's also the National Security Advisor, and the Acting Administrator of USAID. In previous administrations all of those titles were separate people, just saying. It is a well known fact that anyone applying for a position in any agency must pass a loyalty test, not to the constitution but to President Trump. For a prime example of this practice look to the Congress critters who read the Uniform Code of Military Justice in regards to following illegal orders wherein the Trump admin issued a letter of censure.

C. characterized by severe economic and social regimentation
Tarifs. Cutting food benefits to those who need them most. Need I say more?

D. forcible suppression of opposition.
ICE ICE baby. They aren't just going after the worst of the worst as promised. The Trump admin won't release the numbers but per an ongoing report by ProPublica ICE has unlawfully detained at least 506 US citizens. As for "illegals" why has ICE historically picked up immigrants at their immigration hearings? I keep hearing they need to do it the right way and when they did they were punished. Seems fascist to me.

So skud, you have your facts for your rebuttal at the ready?

I spoke about a platform the young ones are not only running on but winning and your response is to poo poo their work? Where are your facts the rebut what is clearly working? Please include whatever accusations you think I made. Also, in my entire post I didn't mention you once skud. I used my own observations, didn't quote anyone directly, and yet here you are, taking me to task for... not providing a source for my own opinions?

I'm stopping now because I can feel the mean inside me rising up.

I am pro religion as long as that religion isn't in charge of the state. As I've watched for too long religion gets turned into a weapon meaning that a person transgresses not just against another human but against their deity and that is a line too far.

Humanity has played this game forever. We almost can see the future made better by scientific advances but nope, in comes the cleric who is losing their power and suddenly science is the vehicle of devil or evil or whatever scapegoat is handy that there/then.

Genocide is never a good thing. Ethnic cleansing creates more issues than it solves. Hells bells, has no one read the teaching stories? An entire town is wiped out in the purge but (HUGE BUT) they miss one and that one goes on to create all kinds of havoc. Stories have been told about such things longer than humans have had the printed word. But hey, one more time. Right?

Les and Shaw, I've been keeping you and the rest of the crew here at PE in my heart. I don't have much but I do have that which I share with joy.

From Google's admittedly sometimes wrong AI...

Connecting the word "smarmy" to Jewish people working as bankers makes the comment explicitly antisemitic. By pairing a descriptor that means "deceitful and manipulative" with banking, your friend invoked one of the oldest and most dangerous conspiracy theories in history: the antisemitic myth of Jewish financial control.

This specific trope has a long, documented history that explains why that comment is so harmful:

1. The Historical Root of the Stereotype

During the Middle Ages in Europe, Christian laws banned Christians from lending money with interest (usury). At the same time, Jewish people were legally barred from owning land, joining trade guilds, or practicing most mainstream professions.

As a result, European rulers explicitly restricted Jewish communities to a few fringe economic roles, primarily tax collection and money lending. This forced economic positioning created a historic vulnerability: local populations began to associate Jewish people directly with debt, money, and financial extraction.

2. The Weaponization of the Myth

Over the centuries, this historical circumstance was twisted by anti-Jewish writers and politicians into a conspiracy theory. In documents like the notorious, fabricated text The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, antisemitic propaganda claimed that Jewish people did not just work in finance, but were using international banking to secretly manipulate global events, governments, and economies.

3. How "Smarmy" Fits the Trope

When your friend used "smarmy" in this context, they were leaning directly on the core of this myth—the idea that Jewish people in finance use phony politeness or hidden cleverness to deceptively control money or exploit others.

MAGA bigots will howl endlessly about Jews in media, business, or entertainment industries, but notice they NEVER have a compliant against Netanyahu, Jared Kushner or Stephen Miller. Those Jews have their respect and admiration for "knowing what's right". Or they don't even know they ARE Jews. But they sure do share lockstep fealty to Trump.
