Thank the goddess this is just fantasy and comedy. Could you possibly imagine? What a train wreck! Ha ha ha ha. Hee hee hee hee!

Personally I think that Judge Judy would make a much better attorney general. I guess we can just go with Ben as surgeon general, since Dr. Laura is still working.

Listening tonight to one of the most boring and fact challenged addresses heard in awhile.

The difference between Mussolini and Trump is Mussolini was a much better speaker.

The convention polling bumps for Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republican Donald Trump are over, and they are practically even, according to a new poll of likely voters.

A Zogby Analytics survey provided to Secrets Tuesday shows:

Hillary Clinton 38%

Donald Trump 36%

No place for John Bolton? Ann Coulter as press secretary?

But it's all going so smoothly at Trump campaign headquarters that he fired his staff again and hired a team which is "in his own image".

"The GOP nominee hired Steve Bannon, executive chairman of the conservative website Breitbart News, to be his campaign CEO ..." What more is there to say?

When this group goes down the tubes, he can always hire Rush and Anne. That'd be great!

From PM Carpenter:

"In one way, this presidential campaign has indeed been one of the nastiest in modern United States history; in fact the nastiest, since Trump, by neofascist definition, is the paradigm of all things politically nasty. His nativism, Aryan nationalism, misogyny and repulsive rhetoric in general have achieved an unequaled vileness in American politics. And yet this presidential campaign has not at all impressed me as politically "nasty" in the more traditional, Nixonian or Rovian sense of the word. "Freakish" is more like it. The nastiness is there, it's acute and undeniable; on the other hand, Trump's nastiness ceased being a thing of wonder long ago — the wearisome fate of all freak shows.

Nixon, W.'s Rove et al. were and remain endlessly fascinating because they could adjust, call audibles, mix it up, fine-tune their strategies and the like. Trump? He's the same, uncharming wannabe autocrat that he was on 16 June 2015. He is one-dimensional; he plays to a singular market and no more, and his nasty "outrages" are thunderingly predictable, which of course sucks the outrage from them.

Hence the nastiness of Trump's presidential campaign is a true nastiness, but paradoxically true: It is supreme in American political history, and yet a nastiness increasingly subject to broad indifference is a kind of empty nastiness. What once promised to be the nastiest campaign ever has fizzled into little more than Trump's desperate, pathetic attempts for attention."

So what's Chris Christie's cabinet position? After standing behind Trump like a whipped servile toady and not being reward with the vice presidency, he's SURELY going to get rewarded with a cabinet position, right? I mean, after that great convention speech that got the audience chanting (re HRC) "lock her up", he's due. Especially given that his political career is likely over. He's going to need a new gig.

Dervish,

Trump's campaign has turned into a song.

Shaw, I see that Liz Warren's career as Senator only has another two years to run. The Bloody Sock is going to replace her, in case the Trump Clown Show wasn't enough. He's going to run for president, too.

Take note that he's not running in Rhode Island where he stiffed their taxpayers for 150 million.

Kevin,

Like the people who support Trump, Schilling is in Fantasy Land. He will get creamed if he goes up against a very, very popular Warren. This is Massachusetts and while we do elect more Republican governors than Democrat governors, we don't elect extreme Goopers, and that would be Schilling, a Trump supporter. IOW, a certifiable nut.

Our present Governor, Charlie Baker, is very popular with Liberal Massachusetts, and that's because he's not a Tea Party Republican. IOW, a foaming at the mouth ideologue. We may not agree with all his policies, but we can agree that Baker is a decent, thoughtful, smart guy. He's what the present GOP abandoned when they supported a certifiable whacko for v.p. in the 2008 elections and then the rest of the clown battalion -- Bachmann, Beck, Walsh, Gohmert, Cain, West, and Trump.

Hillary's campaign has turned into song as well Shaw!

Ducky: Bolton will be chief of Trump's new cabinet-level Department of Insults. Coulter will be in charge of the push to repeal the 19th Amendment.

Dervish: Under President Trump, "Whipped Servile Toady" will also be a cabinet-level position. Christie will be a shoo-in for it.

I assume Palin will also get some cushy spot like Ambassador to Russia or Secretary of Science Education.

I especially like Julie Annie as head of Homeland security! The guy who made a career of pimping 9/11 for political points couldn't remember it actually happened under Bush. He's either demented or a bigger liar than Drumpf!
