Trump's Effect On Congressional Races

Good morning. Isn't it a beautiful day!

The effect of Trump on downballot contests:

via Daily Kos:

Trump Effect: Dems up 9 in generic Congressional race, could lead to a downballot landslide -- per Economist/YouGov.

The poor benighted souls who still cling to supporting the Trumpster apparently never listen to his outbursts of incoherent drivel that passes for statements on how he'd run the country.

Here's an example of what, in any other time and in any other candidate, would be considered stuttering, incomprehensible rot and would have disqualified any other candidate months ago:

Trump on whether or not he trusts the "intelligence community:"

“Not so much from the people that have been doing it for our country. I mean, look what’s happened over the last 10 years. Look what’s happened over the years. It’s been catastrophic. And, in fact, I won’t use some of the people that are sort of your standards, you know, just use them, use them, use them, very easy to use them, but I won’t use them because they’ve made such bad decisions.”

There's absolutely nothing substantive in that jumble of incongruent  gobbledegook. We can't wait to hear him repeat that sort of imbecilic crapulence during the presidential debates.  Hillary will eat him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then floss the little Trumpy bits from her teeth and wash them down the drain.

Oh Shaw... You know all the polls are wrong. Just ask Karl Rove...

The only problem is... HRC has some vulnerabilities as well. I haven't been posting as I've been on vacation, but, I've been paying attention to the political scene with great disgust.

We know Hillary has vulnerabilities. And the Republicans could have capitalized on that had they not lost their minds and voted in the primaries for Drumpf. It seems the present GOP really has a death wish. And it looks like Drumpf will make their wish come true.

(Meanwhile, have you been paying attention to our Republican governor, Charlie Baker? What chance would he have in today's GOP? IMO, he's a decent, smart, and willing to work with a Democratic legislature. He has a 70% approval rating in very blue Massachusetts which goes to prove that we liberals aren't as crazily ideological as the GOP is. I hope Baker will be the new face of the GOP, after they rid themselves of the Tea Party nuts and learn that governing well means one must be willing to compromise.

I forgot to mention Nevada's GOP Latino governor, who gets high marks from Dave Miller.

When the present GOP gets over its fever, there's another promising GOPer!

Thanks Shaw... No, Brian Sandoval will not be getting any love from the present GOP. In fact here in the state, they are angry with him because he raised some taxes to improve education saying... "Good education is a conservative value."

That sent them over the edge, but as a whole, our mostly blue state respects him, the solar debacle notwithstanding.

Should especially help in New York and Florida

Drumpf wants to make sure he polls well with the David Duke wing of the party.

This must be an example of the "competent" advisors he'll select.

Trump is telling us the election will be stolen from him. They're going to try to stop all the Black people voting 5 times. Or even 1 time, as a Black person voting is a for sure cheater. I hear Trump is signing up people on his website to stop this travesty (African Americans voting unchallenged).
