Worst Case of Buyer's Remorse I've Ever Seen!

I'd never heard of Bob Lonsberry because I don't pay attention to who's who in rabid talk radio, but apparently he's a thing in Rochester, New York. He hits on every reason so many people have fled from The Trumpster since his debut in June 2015, when he smeared the Latino and Hispanic communities. And then, one by one, went on to insult, demean, and lie about every other demographic in this country, except undereducated old white men.

I would just point out to Lonsberry that The Trumpster doesn't need to book a flight to go on his very, very nice vacation after he loses in November, because the billionaire flies around in his private jet, while at the same time his hapless supporters claim "he's one of us!."

The only other comment I have on Lonsberry's cri de coeur is this:

It's to your everlasting shame -- yours and the people who still believe this maniac would be a terrific president -- that you didn't figure Don the Con out long before this.

I'll remind you of your egregiously horrible judgement about the person you now call a "dumb son of a bitch."  Trump always was and always will be what you call him now and, may I add, for not seeing this when millions of other Americans did, so will you.

And this:

GOP strategist: Republicans failed morally when they didn’t shun ‘racist’ Trump after birther fight

Many Republicans are in despair over the state of their presidential nominee, and some of them are writing very honest self-examinations of where both they and their party went wrong. GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak believes that the conservative movement’s original sin in this tragedy was in not shunning Donald Trump after he went on a public crusade to force President Obama to release his long-form birth certificate and prove that he was a United States citizen.

“The birther conspiracy that Trump launched in 2011 was a crucial moment for the conservative movement,” he writes on Twitter. “We knew Obama wasn’t born in Kenya. But for some conservatives, we liked seeing Obama being forced to answer questions and provide documentation. Why not release birth certificate?”

However, he goes on to say that this was a major moral lapse on Republicans’ part because everything about the “birther” conspiracy theory reeked of racism.

Yes. Yes. and Yes.

Let the TGOP wallow in the horror they brought upon themselves when they made a pact with the Devil and hoped that the endless "Birther" conpiracy pounding on President Obama would bring them electoral victories and people flocking to their party.

It didn't.  It brought them the disaster that is Donald J. Trump.

The TGOP will forever be stained by this abomination.

shaw, read the twisted minds of the rabid wingnuts. They're already plotting to do to Hillary what they did to Obama -- BLOCK HER.

Rabid wingnut: "I’m going to TRY not to blog about him[Trump] anymore and turn to CONGRESS. We have GOT to have a Republican Senate and House or he’ll not be able to do anything even if he is elected. And we have to shut down Hillary if she is, God forbid, elected.

Do you understand what that means? If Hillary is elected by the people of the United States of America by a large margin, as Obama was, these traitors will work to sabotage her just as they did Obama. These traitors to our country are willing to vote for the most dangerously unbalanced person ever to run for the presidency and these people are willing to subvert the will of the people to do what? At least we'll know they are the absolute bottom of the barrel human beings that would sbotage and disrupt a duly elected president for their own selfish ideological reasons. We looking at the Senate and House races that are looking hopeful for the Dems. Let's all work to get out the vote and make sure it happens: Hillary and a Democratic Congress.

The fact that they even consider voting for Trump is evidence enuf of their hatred for America.

I'm beginning to question how many really understand how our democratic republic is structured and designed to work? Doubt rises almost daily.

Manafort out ! Probably because of the Viktor Yanukovych misunderstanding.
Having your campaign manager revealed as a Putin stooge sends the wrong message.

Scorecard here! Scorecard! Can't tell the players without a scorecard! Scorecard!

You out of popcorn, Shaw?

It's a slow-motion train wreck of epic proportions. And every slow agonizing second of it was brought about by the squirrel brains who thought Trump was "the real deal" non-politician who'd shake up Washington. Instead Don the Con is destroying the Republican Party.

Nah. Not out of popcorn yet, I bought a YUUUUUUUGE supply of it last June when I knew the dupes would fall for the think-skinned blubbering fraud.

RN, the report from Original Anonymous Reader is very depressing. The folks saying "HIllary must be blocked!" are pre-empting her before they even know what her presidency could be. A lot of Dems dislike her because they think she's Republican lite, and the far right loonies dislike her because she's a Clinton. Sometimes I think I'm back in junior high school when I read about those blogs.

BTW, the usual low-information dullards have been squawking about Mr. Obama being on vacation while Louisiana deals with its epic flooding. Like the idiot they support, the shoot of their mouths before they know what they're talking about:

From a blogger friend:

"The Governor of Louisiana has asked that the President and asswipe Comrade Trump, to please wait a couple weeks before coming, as they don't want to move "first responders" from the job at hand, to having to supply security for "SIGHT SEERS".

As the Governor said, The Federal Government has been on the ground since Day One supplying everything the State has requested."

Trump is a repulsive whore making political points off of people's misery in Louisiana. Everyone knows why he went there. He didn't do anything long lasting that would help the people of Louisiana. President Obama gave the governor and the people of Louisiana everything they needed without inserting himself into the picture for political points. Trump is a whore.

Anonymous, read this from Occupy Democrats:

Republicans claim that Democrats are hypocrites for criticizing President Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. However, the problem with the Bush Administration was that it left the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) woefully unprepared to help the American people in the wake of any disaster. In contrast to the chaos of the Katrina efforts, the response to the 2016 Louisiana floods has been swift and effective, saving hundreds, if not thousands, of lives.

"Republican nominee Donald Trump was loudly slamming the President for not ending his vacation early and rushing to visit the beleaguered state – but has yet to respond to these new developments. On the other hand, Governor Edwards issued a sharp rebuke to Trump for attempting to exploit the tragedy for his own political gain.

Conservative critics of President Obama make claims that appeal to emotions, but rarely stand up to scrutiny. The Louisiana floods are yet another of example of a poor attempt to use a tragic event to make misleading, false claims against the President. Obama is doing exactly what local authorities think he should do to benefit affected Louisianians. Let’s put human wellbeing over partisan politics."

Shaw... and Anon...

I've heard conflicting reports from Louisiana. The Dems are saying it is good that he is waiting, the GOP, that he should be there. Pretty partisan stuff.

Where I head is once again, to the optics of Pres Obama. Either he does not get it, or does not care. But... a president should not get beaten to an area where people need comfort after a disaster. Pure and simple.

We rightly beat Pres Bush up for not going to New Orleans quick enough while he was on vacation. And he sent his people too, but we did not excuse his waiting, even though he said he waited for the same reasons Obama used. This was a missed opportunity for President Obama.

Shaw Kenawe said...

We'll disagree on this Dave. President Obama, as everyone should know by now, isn't a grand-standing optics president. According to the governor of Louisiana, the president gave him everything his state needed for this tragedy and did it in a timely way, with no delays.

Bush wasn't criticized for not showing up in New Orleans, his administration was criticized for not giving N.O. the help they so desperately needed in a timely way. Don't you remember those horrendous photos of people needing water? and other life-saving supplies.

According to the governor of Louisiana, everything the state needed to handle the flood was delivered and the federal government was on top of the situation, cooperating with the local state authorities.

For Obama to get in a plane with all that encumbers and land in the middle of a disaster area would have made more trouble for the already desperate situation.

We'll disagree.

I think Obama made the correct decision: Give the state all the help the federal government can deliver and allow FEMA and other agencies to handle the crisis. Obama standing in the middle of Baton Rouge would deliver nothing BUT optics, and cause more headaches for the locals.

Trump OTOH showed up for a matter of minutes and delivered Play-Doh. He exploited a tragedy, IMO>

"Governor John Bel Edwards, makes it clear that if Obama visited first and second responders will not be able to do their jobs effectively. He explains,

It is a major ordeal, they free up the interstate for him. We have to take hundreds of local first responders, police officers, sheriffs, deputies and state troopers to provide security for that type of visit. I would just as soon have those people engaged in the response rather than trying to secure the president. So I’d ask him to wait, if he would, another couple weeks."

This was covered on PBS the other day.

High level officials stated that FEMA was responding and giving then what they needed.
Obama's presence would be unnecessary noise,

Shaw, I encountered Brave Brave Sir Robert while living in Rochester for awhile. I look in on him now and then. He became BBSR for this post.

What are you going to do?

When ISIS brings its gutter religion to you, and wants to sacrifice you as an offering to its god of hate, what are you going to do?

Do you run and die or stand and fight?

What a drama queen. Yeah, I'm certain Rochester is in the ISIS crosshairs.

It wasn't obvious from the beginning that Trump was a "self-important mouth breather" and a "thuggist stereotype from a 70s mafia movie"? His incompetence, narcissism, and hatred weren't immediately evident? How does someone ignore that for months on end?

For the people who ignored the Short Fingered Vulgarian, ideology trumps patriotism and love of country.
