TRUMP HAS HIS REVENGE -- FOR NOW...

But McCabe may get the last Huzzah!

BREAKING: AP learns fired FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe maintained personal memos regarding President Donald Trump.

Question:

What is the definition of a small-minded, mean, ungenerous, shabby, spiteful and petty little worm?

Answer:  TRUMP?

DING! DING! DING!  We have a winnah!

Trump celebrates firing of McCabe and denying him his pension with late night tweet calling it a ‘great day’

 Donald Trump celebrated the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe just after midnight, hopping on Twitter and calling it a “great day.” Late Friday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe at the last minute, which in effect will deny the 21-year veteran of the FBI his pension after years of service to the country.

McCabe:

“I firmly believe that this is an ongoing effort to undermine my credibility because of the work that I did on the Russia case, because of the investigations that I oversaw and impacted that target this administration,” Andrew McCabe said.

Here is McCabe's statement to the Swine-in-Chief's petty form of revenge.

Tweet from Republican Pundit, Rick Wilson:

If you aren't seeing the echoes of 1974, you're not paying attention. Don't worry about McCabe's pension. He's going to make more off his book deal than his pension. And he's liberated to speak the truth.

Tweets from Republicans Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace (There ARE sane and honorable Republicans in this country. None of them, however, are Trump supporters.):

 Steve Schmidt @SteveSchmidt

This American citizen demands to know the precise evidence that led to the termination of a 21 year FBI senior leader with a reputation for probity and rectitude two days before his reaching pension eligibility. Disgraceful. This is an abuse of power and pure bananarepublicanism

Nicolle Wallace Nicolle Wallace @NicolleDWallace ·

The fix was in from Donald Trump when he tweeted 90 days ago his threat about McCabe’s pension. This is a complete disgrace. Sure to exacerbate concerns among “the generals” about his conduct in office

When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you.

Federal law states that government employees can lose their pension and benefits if convicted of a federal crime – there is no indication McCabe could face any charges for his actions.

Digby on the shameful firing of Andrew McCabe:

"Andrew McCabe should run for office. It's the only way for THE PEOPLE to make a statement in this bullshit case. This is nothing more than a thuggish appeasement of that piece of work we call a president by that shameless neo-confederate piece of shit Jeff Sessions."

Trump did not fire McCabe, the FBI itself recommended he be fired. Come on, you can't blame Trump for everything.

Anonymous, Trump DID have McCabe fired. He forced his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, into speeding up the FBI’s processes to enable the firing before McCabe’s retirement date. The FBI found McCabe to be less than honest in some of his testimony regarding the Clinton foundation.

Beyond this vindictive fun for the president, he achieved something politically important. The Trump administration is offering a not very convincing story about the McCabe firing. It is insisting that the decision was taken internally by the Department of Justice, and that the president’s repeated and emphatic demands—public and private—had nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Pay no attention to this, from July 26, 2017:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Why didn't A.G. Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation but got....9:48 AM - Jul 26, 2017

And:

December 23, 2017.

And:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is racing the clock to retire with full benefits. 90 days to go?!!!

As former CIA Director Michael Hayden observed, under military justice, these interventions by the president would have required the dismissal of charges against an accused on grounds of undue command interference.

Gen Michael Hayden

@GenMhayden
I can say, however, if this were conducted under the rules that pertain to military justice, it would have been thrown out because of what we call “undue command influence”. 2/3

It's also nauseating to hear the pathological liar Trump and his A.G. who lied about his meeting with Russians that forced him to recuse himself from the Russia investigation whining about McCabe's sins.

Really. Do the Republicans ever read past the FAUX NOOZ headlines?

Also, Anonymous, there's this, from McCabe's lawyer, which enforces what General Hayden said:

Michael R. Bromwich
@mrbromwich
We will not be responding to each childish, defamatory, disgusting &
false tweet by the President. The whole truth will come out in due
course. But the tweets confirm that he has corrupted the entire
process that led to Mr. McCabe’s termination and has rendered it
illegitimate.

Trump doesn't know how to behave like an adult. He's approached this entire sorry business like a junior high school mean girl. That's his mentality. A vindictive adolescent looking to do harm to those who know he's a jerk.

Now Ms.Shaw, what would you expect McCabes lawyer to say other then "My client is innocent?" McCabe did the same thing Micheal Flynn was indicted for. You're going to feel silly when the IG's report is released

Go re-read what McCabe's lawyer said. He did not say what you wrote.

Anon: "You're going to feel silly when the IG's report is released"

Why should I feel silly? I haven't defended nor condemned McCabe. I've posted about how his firing was conducted. It is people like you who seem to be sure of everything that's happened and is going to happen. None of us know all the facts. Especially not you.

How quickly the Trumpistas jumped on this case but ignored all of the Trumpian corrupting lying and whoremongering that their president has engaged in.

We must never let them forget who they supported. They own Trump.

While McCabe may have been less than forthright with respect to his testimony regarding the Clinton Foundation his alleged infraction is minor compared to the blatant documented dishonesty of tRump.

Mueller's investigation is getting ever closer to tRump and his family and he is growing more desperate and unhinged by the day.

Personally I hope the Mueller Freight Train aimed at tRump's gonads hits and explodes them so the entire world sees tRump for what he Really I is. A lying incompetent fraud.

Anon... every conservative pundit today on the Sunday shows defended the AG in firing McCabe but also had harsh words for how Trump inserted himself into this and handled it. You know who I'm talking about... those liberal RINO's like Marie Harf, Karl Rove, Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz...

Why do you think that was?

IT’S SO SIMPLE EVEN TRUMP SUPPORTERS CAN UNDERSTAND IT.

What is it that tRump is so afraid will come out? I will keep asking this until America understands that tRump knows what it is and why he and the GOP are so afraid.

If tRump is innocent, he wouldn't care about any investigation. It’s just that simple. WHAT IS HE HIDING? What are those supporting him in this hiding? If it’s not important, if it was not illegal, why would they go to such lengths, lies and cover up? Why won’t tRump show his taxes?

tRump is running scared and trying to hide it but what is it, he's trying so hard to hide?

Ray, I just saw this:

WOW. Trey GOWDY addresses Trump's lawyer this AM:

"if you have an innocent client Mr. Dowd, act like it.”

Even the Gooper who hunted down Hillary Clinton on BENGHAZI! understands that an innocent man wouldn't be firing everyone connected with the Mueller investigation.

Remember how the Goopers were so sure that Hillary would be found guilty in the BENGHAZI! tragedy? And then she went before Gowdy's committee for 11 HOURS! And the final result from the REPUBLICAN LED COMMITTE was that Hillary did nothing wrong in the BENGHAZI! tragedy.

Trump doesn't have the courage or the fortitude that Hillary has. He's a weak, wimpy, crybaby. He wishes he was a steadfast and strong as fHillary was when the Goopers went after her.
