Trump didn't even bother to show up at Arlington National Cemetery as presidents traditionally do on Veteran's Day. When President Obama missed a visit to Arlington for some reason, the righties went beserk, calling him any foul name they could think of. President Obama missed one or maybe two in his eight years as CiC. And when Mr. Obama was unable to go to Arlington, he sent his V.P. Trump didn't show up and didn't send his V.P.

A Veteran is someone, who at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America”, for an amount of “up to and including my life”.
That is honor, and there are way too many people like President Raindrop in this country who no longer understand it.

Pres Trump, in almost two years in office has never visited the troops in theater. And this last weekend. couldn't figure out a way to get to a ceremony marking the end of WWI, the sacrifice of American soldiers, and a historic battle by US Marines which some call the most pivotal and important battle of that war.
His claims of inability to fly have been debunked by former pilots of Air Force One after reviewing the actual weather reports from the area. His claims that the Secret Service told him no are absurd. He's the President, he gives the order. All he had to say was make it so.
You're right Shaw, if Obama had done this the extremists would be rightly aghast. But today? You'll hear nothing. Partly because some of the most vocal Obama critics won't even let us comment on their sites. They're as snowflakey as it gets... preferring to not even see, hear or countenance dissent.
Besides, it's time for them to join Trump in being critical of France, Macron and of course California.

As far as I know, NO. Except for blaming the fires on forest management, he's been cruely silent. But why should anyone be surprised? He's completely devoid of human decency. Remember him calling refugees seeking asylum from their countries "animals?" Why would we expect him to show compassion or empathy to the hundreds of Californians who lost their homes? To families who lost their relatives? That's what a decent human being would have done. But Trump is completely devoid of decency. This weekend in France was just another example of his inability to think of other people.
The usual far right bloggers are in a bubble. They're even defending Trump's brag that he's a Nationalist, and that nationalism IS patriotism.
They have no sense of history or shame. They're TrumpCultists, afterall, and are blind to how a majority of Americans and the world see our snowflake president.

Trump has succeeded in making a SICK JOKE of Veteran's Day and a MOCKERY of true patriotism. His inability to drag his fat orange ass to the cemeteries to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice is more evidence of how the ReTHUGlicans who support this lazy ass man-child have descended into the depths of stupidity and dishonor.
