General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Who's surprised? This creep put babies in cages. Why is anyone surprised when he gases babies and children.
I am surprised that djt is continuing the previous administrations policy just not as often. "U.S. Customs and Border Protection has used 2-chlorobenzylidene malononitrile, or CS, since 2010, and deployed it 26 times in fiscal 2012 and 27 times in 2013. The use dropped after that, but was still deployed three times in 2016, Mr. Obama’s final full year in office."
What's surprising is that DJT and his admin actually worked to cause and are continuing the make the the border crises worse. The law states that immigrants seeking asylum must be in the US to apply for asylum. Period. How they got here is not germane to the discussion as again, the law allows ppl to apply for asylum even if they are in the US illegally.
That being the case, with so many ppl at the border seeking asylum, why are we not, as a country, sending a team of judges there to adjudicate these cases promptly to alleviate the crisis?
Anyone wanting to end the crisis should be able to see that the quicker we get through the ppl there, the quicker the problem is resolved. But that would take real leadership, a respect for the rule of law, and Pres Trump telling his base they have no idea what they are talking about.
Finally, as for the tear gas incidents with Obama, it was horrible then, and it's horrible now. And people are right to call out any admin when it happens. But let's not lose sight of the fact that the problem can be solved legally tomorrow it Pres Trump so chooses.
It's telling Skud that you are more concerned about blaming the last president than holding the current president responsible for his actions/decisions. Two wrongs don't make a right and Obama never incited the migrants by claiming they were terrorists and criminals. Trump is looking for a reason to harm those people, because he wants to harm those people, because he enjoys harming people.
