The Blue Tsunami...

that trump and his base pretend never happened.

And that's fine. Let them live in their bubbles while the Democrats move on to their new majority in the House and their victories in state legislatures.

via Daily Kos:

The election was a D blowout (7.8% margin and growing), with structural reasons for the Senate result that has little to do with the popular vote.

Polling is only confirming how unpopular Trump’s policies and ideas are. His base just lost an election, so no more ‘but his base’ excuses.

His base is outnumbered and just got outvoted.

And this:

Nate Silver of Five Thirty-Eight

Trump’s Base Isn’t Enough

There shouldn’t be much question about whether 2018 was a wave election. Of course it was a wave…. This year’s results do serve as a warning to Trump in one important sense, however: His base alone will not be enough to win a second term.

Throughout the stretch run of the 2018 midterm campaign, Trump and Republicans highlighted highly charged partisan issues, from the Central American migrant caravan to Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. And Republican voters did indeed turn out in very high numbers: GOP candidates for the House received more than 50 million votes, more than the roughly 45 million they got in 2010. But it wasn’t enough, or even close to enough.

Problem No. 1 is that Republicans lost among swing voters: Independent voters went for Democrats by a 12-point margin, and voters who voted for a third-party candidate in 2016 went to Democrats by 13 points.

Trump and Republicans also have Problem No. 2, however: Their base is smaller than the Democratic one.

Due to President Trump, his family, staff, admin: except a few: Real Americans can have peace on Thanksgiving...knowing we are under the US Constitution and Rule of Law.

An amazing comment from a TrumpCultist who is so far up Trump's arse that he can smell Trump's "Crew" hair gel.

The facts are that Trump has been wiping his prodigious orange arse with the US Constitution since he became preznit. The latest scandal where he tried to prosecute his rivals is just one example of his Stalinist dreams.

A TrumpCultist is not expected to see reality because he/she resides in a very dark, ugly place.

The correct term should be blue ripple not tsunami. Now 2010 was a tsunami just not blue. All of this will turn around in the next mid term when we have a democrat president who will screw things up and people will get fed up again. Look at what happened during obama the greats mid term elections. It would be nice to have a competent president like Reagan but our division won't allow it. Even though BJC was a scum bag he did bring both sides to the table. BHO divided the country and DJT has further separated the sides.

skud, even the GOP is calling it a tsunami. You, like many TrumpCultists, don't want to face the fact that the current GOP and its idiot preznit was rejected good and hard.

You long for another Reagan? You have a terrible memory. Reagan was steeped in the Irangate Scandal and dozens and dozens in his administration were convicted felons. Apparently you Goopers go for corrupt presidents. SAD!

Not one person in Mr. Obama's immediate circle in his administration was indicted. There were no scandals, personal or others, even if the Goopers tried mightily to make one.

Nixon, Reagan, now Trump -- GOP administrations lousy with scandals. And GWB brought us perpetual war and the loss of 3,000 American lives.

Be careful what you wish for.

Now aside from all this political stuff, I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

Skud... really? A ripple? Governorships across the midwest in states Trump won. Competitive races in Texas and Georgia. Statehouse flipped all over the country. The biggest Dem gain in the House since Watergate. And a loss of only a maximum of 2 Senate seats in the worst Senate election map since the direct election of Senators took place.

Since you're calling it a ripple, what would a wave have looked like? How about a Tsunami?

As for Obama and division, let's take a look at that.

Start with Pres Trump. Some of his biggest supporters are White Nationalists, White Separatists, the David Duke types and the various NAZI sympathizers. Those folks are the people living out their dream of a primarily white America. They existed in America before the Obama Administration. But they are now feeling emboldened and like they have an ally in the White House. Why is that? Why do they believe that Donald Trump is their friend?

It was not President Obama who is responsible for these kinds of folks.

BTW Frank... or Frank Disimobe, at least one of your other sock puppet names...

Us libs/progressives love the law. That's what we used to force the US to integrate school, force access to the ballot box for black people in the Civil Rights Era and remove a president who wanted to use the power of his office to silence critics of his plan to cover up crimes committed by friends of his administration. It's also the law that says people who entered the US without papers, or illegally, have a right, no matter where they enter, to petition for asylum.

It's generally, at least now, the Trump Admin and his supporters who are arguing against the law when they do not agree with its conclusions.

A law abiding president would not be attacking judges for forcing the admin to actually follow the law.

Frankie... BTW, lest you start along the trail of your extremist brethren an criticize the various judges, some appointed by Trump himself, who have ruled in favor of the law against Trump, consider this quote from the Chief Justice of SCOTUS...

"Roberts said Wednesday the U.S. doesn’t have 'Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges.' ”

We have an independent judiciary because the founders were worried about tyranny and leaders who would use the power of their office for personal, or extreme political gain.

Rev, if you believe judges are not biased why all the fuss over the latest appointment of a supreme caused so much hate.

Ms Shaw, stay warm it does look like weather is headed your way. Have a great Thanksgiving. I am thankful djt only has two more years and hopefully a responsible conservative takes his place. Maybe a women like Nikki Haley.
