DOES THIS APPLY TO ANYONE WE KNOW?

MEANWHILE:

(Huff Post):   Donald Trump on Wednesday privately pressured Senate Republicans to “kill” a bipartisan deal to secure the U.S. border because he doesn’t want President Joe Biden to chalk up a win ahead of the 2024 presidential election, according to a source familiar with the tenuous negotiations on the package.

Trump directly reached out to several GOP senators on Wednesday to tell them to reject any deal. Trump’s meddling generated an “emotional” discussion in a closed door meeting between Senate Republicans on Wednesday, as senators vented their frustrations for hours about the largely secret negotiations over emergency aid for Ukraine, Israel and immigration.

Shaw... Trump said on FOX News...

"“When there’s a crash, I hope it’s going to be during this next 12 months because I don’t want to be Herbert Hoover. The one president – I just don’t want to be Herbert Hoover...”

He has already said he's responsible for "ending Roe"...

He's posted on his Truth Social site that he wants to take another stab at "ending Obamacare"...

And now, as you've posted, Trump has told the GOP he does not want a deal on the border, even though many in the GOP says it's a great deal, fixes the problem and would give Trump, should he win the election, greatly expanded "legal" powers to control immigration.

Why would he not want this deal?

Because he wants to run on continued border chaos, confusion, violence and drug overdoses, all a result his saying to the GOP "Don't make a deal on the border".

C'mon Skud... you've railed accurately at times, about how Congress won't/can't get anything done on the border. You've said it's wide open. Now we have a chance to change that.

And what happens?

The GOP, the right, conservatives, literally, your tribe, are going to stand in the way of what they themselves said just last week was a great plan for America.

It's not the Dems standing in the way this time. Not. At. All.

This is 100% on the GOP.

Donald Trump and the GOP are not only hoping, as the statements prove, bad things happen to America, they're actively working to make those bad things for America a reality.

Thanks Shaw for posting this...

We'll wait to see if skudrunner has anything to say about Trump's obstruction.

He likes to complain and blame, but when we show PROOF of where the problem lies (TRUMP and the MAGApublicans) many people don't want to acknowledge that ugly fact.
