Allow me a little bit of bragging.

This is not to say we're perfect. We're not. But we are pretty smart, which helps when trying to solve problems and do better.

Massachusetts named "most educated" state in U.S. again

I'll say this; every time I've visited I get my grammer corrected at least half a dozen times.
Your mother's sister is your "awnt." An ant is something you step on. It's pronounced "Wooster" not the way it's spelled. Last time I was there I pretended to me a mute. Stoic silence is apparently a highly regarded trait in Mass. There's talk of running me for mayor of Forge Village.

To my great embarrassment, Maryland is #3.

Sic Semper Tyrannus! :(

No. 3 is admirable.

The other top ten states: Massachusetts (#1), Vermont (#2), Connecticut (#4), Colorado (#5), Virginia (#6), New Jersey (#7), New Hampshire (#8), Minnesota (#9), and Washington (#10).

None of them, you will notice, are Trumper states.

The lower the educational level; the more likely they're Trump voters. That's just sad.

If you ran for office here in Mass., you'd be a shoo-in, even if you mispronounced "aunt."

For our family, the sister of our mother was always "awunt," never "ant." Or, because our heritage is Italian, "Zia."

Trumpers aren't elites, they're working class... you know, the people Democrats abandoned 56 years ago for draft dodging SDSers.

Never confuse education for intelligence. ;)

That is a significant accomplishment in today's education system. It shows a lot when the number one educated state has 50% of students meeting state proficiency standards and has an adult literacy rate of 90% and ranks 13th. Our schools are failing to educate our children but when you have low expectations you have low results.

That is not indicative of just Mass but of the country. Of course falsi's covid lock-down and the NEA didn't help. I'm sure you will point out how this is the evil ones fault but we can do better.

I know that very well. Didn't we have a recent president brag about being a "stable genius," and lie about his academic record? Yes, he has a degree, but he's a dull-witted and unimaginably uninformed adult. He doesn't know our own American history, but egotistically believes he's capable of leading the country and the world. What a joke!

Did you type that with a straight face?

Trump surrounds himself at Mar-a-Largo with folks who pay $250,000 to be members of his club. How "working class" is that? And Trump flies around the country in his private jet! Imagine all the "working class" folks who can relate to that! You're being sardonic, right?

Joe Biden came from humble working class roots, not Trump. Joe Biden wasn't given millions of dollars from his daddy to start his first business and then lose most of it from business failures.

The Actors Equity Assn., the AFGE, the AFL-CIO, and UAW have endorsed Biden. That's about as "working class" as it gets.

Did I say that Trump was working class? He's as big an elitist as they come. But he's not a "Cultural Capitalist" elitist that makes ME pay for his jouissance. He's of the old fashioned "capitalist" meritocratic kind. And they've been around forever. He's of the "Beethoven" variety. I'm more old-fashioned traditionalist of the Goethe variety. But I don't hold respect for "people" out of "historicism", only for the offices they hold. And only if they restrict their interactions with the public are reciprocated in the same manner. I don't want to be their "friend" (Facebook or otherwise).

Unions no longer represent the working class. They represent corporatist unionist interests. They're corporatism's legal equivalent to "public defenders".

Clearly you are one confused human form -fj. But that's fine. At least it's only you trapped inside your mind.
