MAGA doesn't care about the merits of a case, whether it is legal or illegal. What MAGA cares about is loyalty to the convicted felon in the White House. If a court case is brought by Trump, then MAGA believes it is merited, no matter what the facts are. The James Comey indictment is a perfect example of a vindictive case against him, which a majority of legal scholars have said has no merits.
But MAGA doesn't care about facts and legalities. MAGA is slavishly loyal to a man, the convicted felon, Trump, not to the law.
Vindictive prosecution:
Comey's lawyers argue the case is an example of political retaliation, citing public statements from President Trump that they claim demonstrate "personal animus" and a motive to "seek retribution".
Lack of probable cause:
Before the indictment, federal prosecutors who reviewed the case reportedly found no probable cause to bring charges and refused to indict Comey.
Improper prosecutor appointment:
The indictment was filed days after the U.S. attorney assigned to the case was fired and replaced by the President's former personal lawyer, who had no prior experience as a criminal prosecutor.

BECAUSE THIS CASE WILL PROBABLY NOT HOLD, AND COMEY WILL GO FREE IF WE CAN JUDGE FROM SO MANY OF THE OTHER CASES TRUMP HAS BROUGHT AND LOST, I HOPE THAT THE MORE OBVIOUS THINGS COMEY’S DONE WILL NOT GO AWAY BECAUSE THIS CASE WILL..

Shaw... this is an interesting issue. The writer of that blog [Geeez] seems to think because a person is elected, he or she has a right to do whatever he or she wants.
Yet she did not support that philosophy when Clinton, Obama or Biden was president. Yet her view prevails among many on the right.
It all stems from a belief that "their" people are being unfairly targeted by the law, or a favorite term of theirs, "lawfare". And in a sense, they are correct. Liberals have used the law to force conservatives for years to "do the right thing".
Perhaps the most important of those right things was forcing conservatives to allow equal access to education and the vote for black people. Conservatives fought those initiatives tooth and nail and it took the SCOTUS to force them to follow the law.
But they've hated the law vehemently since then.
That's what we are seeing here.
When loyalty to a con replaces facts, reason and reason's subjective cousin common sense, that person's crater of wisdom has effectively been emptied and refilled with mush.
I saw someone at Geeez asked "SO, SUDDENLY, VINDICTIVE INDICTMENT MAKES A DEFENDANT INNOCENT?!"
No, not at all. If the person who asked that had bothered to read, look at, consider or get counsel on the actual, you know, law, she would know you are supposed to only bring charges when you have evidence of a crime.
Now, based on the totality of her other comments, she knows there is little evidence of any crime committed Comey. Even her favorite legal commentator on FOX, Andrew C. McCarthy, says Comey will go free because there is no evidence. And sh'es stated she sees him as fair.
Comey's "the case is vindictive" claim is based on one simple fact... Trump refuses, like many of the commenters at the cited blog of this post, to accept what his DOJ lawyers have repeatedly told him, that there is insufficient evidence to charge Comey.
Z, the blog writer ultimately knows and accepts this. But in the end as she's moaning about reality, she states one last hope, if guilty is off the table, and it's a favorite Trump action... financially hurt Comey.
Sue, charge or accuse anyways, regardless of the evidence and maybe, as Z hopes, it'll cost Comey a lot of money to defend himself against a frivolous charge or what's known by many lawyers as a slapsuit.
The party of Law & Order... not in any sane world. And only when they agree with the outcome, regardless of evidence.
I've read enough of that blog and its commenters to understand that they do not have allegiance to the rule of law nor to America's ideals. They are deliriously happy with the felon in the White House and with all the destructive things he's doing to this country. Geeez's comments on the Comey indictment is all anyone needs to read to understand her lack of knowledge of jurisprudence and her slavish loyalty to Trump, not the rule of law.
She and her commenters are the reason Trump is in office.
What exactly ARE America's ideals in this era of unreasonable unbridled greed, indecency, unethical, and immoral behaviors and actions by an authoritarian ruler and his sycophantic party? Given the incessant inculcation of false facts and narratives into the American Lexicon how long before this nation becomes that which it thought it had defeated?
"Rule of law for thee, but not for me" is at the core of despotism.
The Supreme Court obliged the Criminal President when the six corrupt and highly partisan justices nullified the 14th Amendment’s rule on banning insurrectionists from holding public office and terminated our ideal of equal justice under law by granting him unconstitutional “presidential immunity”.
The rule of law is actually defined.
The federal judiciary defines the rule of law as “a principle under which all persons, institutions, and entities are accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced, independently adjudicated, and consistent with international human rights principles.”
The six Supreme Fascists should be immediately removed and arrested for VIOLATING the US Constitution and the rule of law as defined by their judiciary code. There is NO rule of law as long as they and Trump and the entire Republican Party are unaccountable to it.
Yeah, but unfortunately that ain't gonna happen. Now that the scotus is corrupt its simply chip away, chip away, chip away and before ys no it... an Amerika that looks a lot like Putin's Russia or Kim Jong Un's North Korea. Two of tRump's buddies.
