I bet you're glad to live in a condo during these times! Here in the DC area, we received about 2-3 inches. Can't wait to sell my house and buy a condo or townhouse in a Twin City suburb where my mowing and shoveling days will be over!!! Stay warm!
My nephew and his wife are in Guanjuato. He texted me that they were in lock-down for a few hours, and a business across the street from them was on fire. They're safe now, as I hope you are as well.
I'm safe in my condo. Our powerlines are all underground. We just have to ride this one out. It's 11Am, And I can't see out my windows because the winds have coated my screens with snow. The streets of this normally busy Boston neighborhood are eerily quiet. There's a kind of beauty in the urban silence.
Yes. No shoveling for me; and since my car was totaled last month during our last snow storm by a drive-by hit-and-run while parked on the street, I don't have to shovel that out either.
I'm baking gingerbread and making codfish chowdah with potatoes and corn for tonight's suppah. Books, movies, and music will help the time go by while stuck in the condo!
Sometimes, actually most times I'm glad I live in a two bedroom spacious apartment these days. I just wish it were more in the country with the full beauty of nature and the wonderful wildlife that is perfect for reflection and going inside to really get to know oneself.
I feel the same way. That's why I'm happy to volunteer at the goat farm every week. It's in the country. Otherwise, I do have the harbor at the end of my street, and I can walk down and look at the inner harbor for some beautiful scenes of sail boats and other crafts during the warmer months.
How are you doing in this storm? I hope you and Mrs. Carpenter are safe.
Impressive bomb cyclone -wind different direction than a Noreaster? The large snow feet makes me mangle Shelly -'Look upon my feet, ye chilled and snicker' or 'there's a Sasquatch out front' or maybe even the Trump Memorial to ICE. The photos are beautiful and would make great Christmas cards!

You're stuck in snow, I'm stranded in Guadalajara. I know you have family in Mexico as well. I hope they are well.

Ah, the memories of my youth up in Lake Superior country.
12 inches was celebrated as a snow day. 8 inches was called another Tuesday.
Stay cozy, everyone in winter wonderland!
We're staying in. Safe, warm, and cozy. As we hope everyone is. Even MAGA Trumpers. :)
As a WI kid up in the pines, I shoveled snow for a an old German piano teacher lady for lessons.. I wasn't very good at either.
5-6 inches here in Northern MD/ Harford County.
Over 3 feet. A new record for Boston...
That's the reason Horace Greeley said Go West Young Man. Just your pictures look cold. Good luck, Stay inside and stay safe.
