Light posting for a while as we welcome our French family for their annual visit

And here's a typical, hypocritical TeaPublican pol showing everyone that he believes his party should be given the duties and privileges of the presidency even when a Democrat is in the White House:

"The main pretext Republican senators have offered for leaving open the Supreme Court seat of the late Justice Antonin Scalia is that the next president, not Barack Obama, should be the one to fill it.

But now that his party’s nominee, Donald Trump, seems headed for a loss in November, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) appears to be changing his tune ― and may be signaling that more unprecedented obstruction is on the horizon if Hillary Clinton wins the White House. "

“I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up. I promise you,” McCain said Monday, according to CNN.

It's amazing that the polls show that Hillary is leading by s large margin. But as we see, Hillary has no crowds st her ralllies, and no signs on the lawns that I pass, no bumpey stickers. And her stupid looking inept running mate may be one dizzy spell away from the Oval Office, and she has an opponent generating historic levels of enthusiasm. Despite what her media supporters would have us believe, it just doesn't add up, but I guess the polls should know

Sometimes I think that we should just assume that republicans will do the opposite of what they say. Just look at what they have said and then done in the past.

Dear "Sugar Lips,"

You gotta believe!

Best wishes,

FJ, the TeaPublicans are really blatant about sabotaging Clinton if she's the next president.

Imagine the TeaPublicans losing what's left of their minds if a Democratic senator promised to block every single SCOTUS nominee from the Republican president.

The GOP acts more like a Banana Republic junta than an American political party. They are outlaws and thugs.

Jerry Critter, that's certainly true of the candidate they're supporting. He's everything they hate in a politician: a liar, a fake Christian, a serial adulterer, and an accused sexual assaulter. There's your "family values" TeaPublican party.

Sugar Lips,

Come out of that cave you're living in.

You should ask yourself that

Sugar Lips is a perfect example of the fact that everything negative that the republicans say about the democrats is actually true about the republicans.

It is like they look in the mirror and see a democrat, not themselves.

You should ask yourself that.

That wasn't a question.

Reading is hard, Sugar Lips, innit.

THE TRUTH COMES OUT!

A former Clinton operative just broke his silence and dropped a BOMBSHELL on this Presidential race.

The longtime Clinton henchman told The ENQUIRER that Hillary Clinton is a sex freak who paid fixers to set up sex romps in hotel rooms with both men AND women!

IMO, if they are demanding a Scalia, they will need to comb Hell's basement.

Funniest thing I've read so far today. I needed a laugh. Thanks for the comedy.

BB-Idaho, there is no way a Scalia judge will be nominated by President Hillary.

BTW, "I can't stand Shaw,"

Why do you come here and read and then comment on my blog?

Do you not have any control over your bizarre impulses? Like Trump?

Poor dear.

Shaw,

"I can't stand Shaw" is the bonehead "Joan" who is actually a guy who pretends to be a woman.

I'm sorry. Did I miss something here? Isn't it a good thing to be a sex freak? I mean particularly at age sixty-eight? I hope that I still deserve the appellation so many years from now. I am now, and have always been, a pretty sick puppy.

Hey Dumbass. Thanks for reminding me to look up Hillary's birthday eight years after she conceded to Obama. It's this Wednesday, October 26th. She turns sixty-nine. Turn that upside-down, you wanker!

Happy Birthday Hillary! PUMA until the very end. God bless you and all of your family and endeavours. May you reign with beauty and grace. May you see both Texas and Arizona follow the rest of the western states. May you one day preside over a viable, conservative third party.

I don't know, but it seems Obama gave in too easily regarding the GOP taking away his right/duty to nominate the next SCOTUS judge. Obviously Congressional republicans can't stop Hillary from making her pick... for 4 or 8 years. But who knows? Getting things done on behalf of the American people isn't their job any longer (beginning with the election of Obama). Hopefully enough of them will be fired in this election that they'll be forced to compromise, but I wouldn't bet on it.

BTW, regarding the title of this post... I guess you won't be "getting up early to write hate" (paraphrase). For a little while, at least.

I wonder if he has ever read the Constitution to determine what his job is as a senator.
