General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."
Here's what conservative writer Max Boot had to say...
"This is a president, after all, whose communications director quit on Wednesday after admitting to lying (but insists her resignation was unrelated); whose senior staff included an alleged wife-beater; whose former national security adviser and deputy campaign manager have pleaded guilty to felonies; whose onetime campaign chairman faces 27 criminal charges, including conspiracy against the United States; whose attorney paid off a porn star; and whose son mixed family and government business on a trip to India."
Even Tucker Carlson got into the act being the one Republican I saw share an ounce of truth when he opined if Pres Obama had said take the guns and deal with due process later, we'd denounce him as s dictator.
His tariff proposal is one of the stupidest ideas he has come up with, along with arming teachers. Imposing tariffs on imported steel will just make the price of most things rise including a can of beer. This country is not going to return to being a dirty industrial nation. I don't believe this is a ploy to get union support because there are a lot more beer drinkers than union members. For someone who supports capitalism he sure make some stupid decisions to restrict trade.
Skud, beer cans are aluminum but he's trying to slap a tariff on aluminum imports also so your analogy holds.
The auto industry's reaction might be interesting. Would an increase in imported steel prices drive more manufacturing off shore?
Wonder if Wilbur Ross tipped him off:
"Between February 12 and February 22, three of Carl Icahn's companies happened to place four sell orders amounting to $31,277,063.43, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The filing was first reported by the liberal news site ThinkProgress ... On February 16, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross issued a statement that he had suggested Trump consider several recommendations regarding steel imports, including a 24 percent global tariff. That statement, however, came four days after Icahn began selling off the Manitowoc stock. "
The whole administration is crooked. How about l'affaire Kushner. He's going around the world trying to find someone who'll keep him out of bankruptcy in return for access to tRump so he loses his clearance. A regular chip off the old block.
You give Lord Dampnut too much credit. He's a dim bulb who does what he's told while his "advisors" are stealing the silverware.
Shaw: Not a peep from his cultists (re Trump's tariffs).
They love them. Me, I'm wondering why now and not sooner. Trump is a genius to them, though, so I'd guess they think the timing must be part of some brilliant strategy.
Anti-Globalism and racism are the #1 reasons the trumpers voted for the Orange idiot. They will applaud anything Trump does to advance either. In their imaginations White Christans are the persecuted majority. White Christian men have it particularly bad (see RN's latest post). Trump is their avenger and last hope. The hardcore will NEVER abandon him.
Yes, Dervish, that's true. They are beyond redemption in their cultish attitude of worship for this agent of chaos. At least we now know how many of them are in this country.
Dervie, I think you may be incorrect about why people voted for president orange hair. They were tired of no a stagnant employment wadge market and of a regime who was only interested in special interest groups and not average Americans in the middle of the country. The media promotes racism to further divide the country. They attack the one percenter's of which they are part of and look at themselves as our royalty, they and the entertainment industry. What people on both sides forget is that all politicians are crooks and will only do what is in their best interest. What we should be concerned about is not rich people who go into politics but people who go into politics to get rich. How many congressman enter office well off and a few years later are worth millions making 180k a year.

If you remove :large from the end of the hyperlinked URL, the image should appear properly.
Let me guess, none of the above would be the correct answer.
Now, now skud, you know the correct answer is Hillary Clinton.
I am at to point of opining that it simply no longer matters. This nation has frankly flown over the cuckoo's nest.
So Lord Dampnut threw another trantrum and recklessly started a trade war. Is this a preview of how he'd start a hot war?
